“So who put you up to it?"

Settling into a desk Logan stared deep into the eyes of the other man with him, it had been twenty minutes since he had dragged the man to a secluded part of the hallway as questions fell out of his lips repeatedly.

Looking deep into the man's eyes all he could see was fear.

“I am sorry, I just had to do it…They had my mom on gun point while asking that I do it.”

“Are you telling me all of this, everything was all pre-planned?"

There was a long moment of silence, the man hesitated to speak at first but then turned to look around at where he was…

The man swallowed deeply when he saw the Intense Scene, all he could feel at that one moment was the icy fingers of death creeping through his soul.

If anything would make no sense at that moment, it would be lying to Logan that was before him, looking like he would hit him over again.

“I wasn't just paid to do this, I was literally forced… I am so Sorry, don't end my life on account of this.” The man pleaded for his life.

Logan who was still filled with the adrenaline rushing through his veins just wouldn't understand, he took a few steps back to try stopping his heart from the heaviness he was starting to feel yet, it wouldn't stop it.

“I swear

He walked back to the man, as he did, he cut the tape that had been binding the man, relieved the man rubbed his wrist.

“You are free to leave."

Stunned, the man looked at him as though he couldn't understand the order.

“You mean, I can leave?” He asked, his face filled with uncertainty.

“That is the only option here, you can choose to leave and get killed before you step into your apartment or …”

Scared, the man looked into his eyes. " Or? "

Logan gave a smirk.

Soon Logan's car was halting at the front of the little cabin, and the man called home.

He had his reservation when it came to settling matters like this but at the moment, the best was to let the man go , of course after brainwashing him to do his bid.

The man looked rather scared of what would be done to him rather than concern for the two rolls of cash that we tucked to the back of his pocket.

As he watched the man walk into his apartment, a sound from a fan blasted through the arena, he was quick to dart behind a car and pull out his gun.

Good thing he did as he heard a car slow as it approaches his, shooting at his car repeatedly —

When he was finally able to get himself up, he saw the car driving wildly as it turned a bend.

With the car out of the scene he cautiously walked into the building without thinking, he found the man's body on the floor in a pool of blood.

Running his fingers through his hair, he let out a dangerous breath.

Logan gives his vague report to the police, the way they had looked at him made it more obvious that they saw his story as cock and bull even after seeing the car tracks .

“We will speak to you later on this." The Detective muttered leaving Logan deep in thoughts.

Perhaps Joanne was right about saying that anyone in contact with him lost their lives, while seeming more like the truth as it was turning out to be, it couldn’t stop a sliver of anxiety finding its way to him.

“We would be needing you in a few days time, you can do well to show up.” The glance he cast to his way was nothing but heat. Screaming the words that he was to be blamed.

“Would make myself available." He muttered just as he made way past the yellow tape at the door.

Camera flashes from different directions came across his optical gaze as he stepped out, shielding his eyes he evaded most of the light as he pushed his way out.

One of his men was waiting at the end of the porch, he shunned away the rest of the reporters as he opened the car for Logan to step in.

“Get me out of here!" He ordered, his pulse fluttered, but he forced a sigh.

All what his mind was settled on was what the press was going to say about him after this entire scandal, as it was he was going to need to do a lot to drag his name out of the mud as no one would seemingly believe that all of this happened this way.

He shook his head before the car accelerated so fast that he fell back to his seat, a soft groan escaped his lips as the driver muttered an apology..

His only response was a look in his direction and nod slowly. He could feel that bit of tension running through his veins as a spark of lightning.

“Where do you want to go to sir." The driver asked .

He turned his attention from the road and looked at the direction of the man driving, h Could see a spark passing through his eyes. I

“Just take me home."

Logan watches as the odometer hit 90… then 149 as the car drove at an Insane speed just as he likes it—

As though his thoughts were fleeting with the speed of the car, he sat back to his chair with his face void as he was not conveying an ounce of emotion despite the adrenaline that was surging deep inside of him.

They took a rough bend, as breezes flowed through the window that was rolled down warming his brazing heart.

Soon they pulled into the driveway half an hour later, looking up from the car seat . He saw Joanne out there with a man he hadn't seen before.

“Who is that?" Logan asked curiously.

“No idea, he wasn't here when I left."

There was a look of concern as he alighted the car and made way to them.

The man stepped forward…

“Mr Logan has been waiting all day for you."

“Who are you?" Logan asked, taking the hands he had offered In a firm handshake.

“I am Luan Lang… The attorney for the government.”
