Chapter 75
*LUNA*
No more words were spoken between us after that, I quietly returned to my room mentally scolding myself for the way I had reacted, I had panicked. That wasn't the way I want to have sex for the first time. Absently I cracked open the door of my room, it was quiet as usual with no sign of Scarlet or Rebekah. Rebekah on the other hand must be taking a walk with Darren which reminded me I hadn't spoken to them about Amelia's situation.
I twirled around to have a look when someone knock on my door, without waiting for me to give her the command to come in, she did anyway with two guards behind her. I wasn't scared of her before but now I was, someone so innocent looking as her could murder someone without anybody suspecting.
Plastering a fake smile on my face. "Is something wrong?" I darted a look at the guards behind her, the last time a guard came into my room, I was arrested for murder.
"Now don't be scared, they are only here to search your room as long as you don't have a problem with that" She said waiting for my reaction, when she got none she continued. "Hunter is in charge the case, Sophia's case. So a ordered the guards to search everyone's room" Okay I don't trust this girl, not because of the fact that Sophia had once implanted a stolen object in my room but there was a note in her voice that didn't seat well with me"
"Is that why you are following them around?" Her expression changed at my words. "I don't want my room to he searched" I declared folding my arms across my chest.
"I'm sorry, you don't have a say in this. You are the prime suspect in this case" She argued coursing my control to snap.
"You must be forgetting that I'm the Luna? It's an order, I don't want my room to be search now get out?" I snarled ignoring her gasp of disbelief, the guards already leave but she was the only one staying behind.
"Slaves usually abuse their powers, I'm not surprised to see you doing exactly that"
"Care to repeat that statement?" I took a step closer to her and she did the same.
"I'm not threatened by you slave, you are just a useless piece of omega shit. No position will wash that from your face no matter how you try to fool yourself" She fling her hair in my face before walking away.
Okay her words stung a lot but I told myself not to think about it which brought me back to what happened earlier when I went to town, who were those men chasing me? It was as if they knew I was going out and decided to follow me around until they have the opportunity to carry out their job.
Could it be that Amelia saw me leaving the castle with no guards and decided to alert the councils. Although I wasn't sure if it was true or not but that was the only logical conclusion I could come up with.
A loud sound jolted me back to present, I stare at the entrance with a frown on my face, the sound came again and fearing the worse I hurried over to open it only for the person responsible for the sound turned out to be Kayden. I gasped before taking a step and opening the door wider for him.
After the way we had parted earlier I didn't expect him to be in my room. I close the door behind us as he went over to seat on my bed. "Is something wrong?" I asked breaking the uncomfortable silence.
"I want to apologized for what happened early" His apology shocked me. I stood rooted on the spot as he take a step towards me. "I acted very... Unusual but I would never have force myself on you or any woman, I don't do that" His voice sounded so vulnerable.
"You have no reason to apologize...." I trailed off as Scarlet burst into my room, she stopped immediately she sighted Kayden behind me. "Scarlet?" I pressed.
"I was carrying Lady Rebekah and Gamma Darren basket picnic when we were attacked by a pack of rouges, I managed to escape somehow but they have taken them" Scarlet answered making me freeze in fear plus I don't think Scarlet had escaped, the councils let her go on purpose so she could come back and give Kayden the news like he did with Heather.
"You believe now don't you? I was almost abducted earlier today...." The furious look on Kayden's face made me snap my mouth shut reminding there was plenty of time for me to tell him I told you so.
As Kayden hurried out of the room, I made to follow him but Scarlet pulled me back. "You need to be careful, I have a feeling you are the one they really want and Rebekah is a means to get you"
"How did you know that?" I demanded frowning at her, she let go of my hand and burst into tears.
"Miranda contact me, she threatened to kill my parents if I stop working for them. I don't know how she find that out, I couldn't do anything, I'm so sorry" She pleaded covering her face as her body shook violently.
"This isn't the time to cry. We will discuss that later but I have a feeling Amelia is working for the councils. Keep an eye on her while I'm gone" I patted her shoulder giving her time to process what I just told her.
Kayden was getting his men ready when I joined the queue too, he stopped as soon as he spot me, taking powerful steps towards me, he dragged me out of the crowd of men and women.
"You are not coming with" He growled at me.
"You are not going to stop me okay? Rebekah is my friend and right now she needs me more than ever, besides I'm your mate. Not your subjects, I don't have to obey you" I reported.
He smirked at me, we have both completely forgotten the few warriors standing behind us and looking on curiously. "No you are not my mate and yes I still get to order you, you have no claim on me remember?"
I growled angrily at him before going on a tip toe without even thinking about it, I sink my fangs into a certain spot on his ear, loving the small moan that slips out of his mouth, his body vibrated against mine. I drank all the blood pouring out before taking a step back.
"How about now?" It was my turn to smirk which quickly turn into anger as Kayden smiled at me making realize I had just played into his hands!.
