Now I can't take if my life took a turn for the better or worse. First, I was mated to a monster, second a dangerous group of werewolves and maybe witches included are after me because I decided I wasn't going to be part of their plans to kill my mate. Was a foolish or stupid? I didn't know the answer myself because I was more than confused but one thing was clear, if Kayden ever found out what I did. There is no doubt about him torturing me to death.
I live in constant fear after Miranda's illusion spell, I kept waiting for the councils to attack or pull a trick but that never came. Three days pass with nothing. On the other hand Kayden seem to be furious with me, he ignored me as of I was a plague and visited his other mistress, you would think being mated was going to change that, not that I cared anyway. Nothing changed around here, I'm never getting the freedom I craved or the love of a mate. I hate Kayden for taking both away from me.
I'm also anticipating a bigger problem as Kayden had ordered his men to return Heather back to my original border, directly asking for war. Scarlet had just finished helping me get dressed, I stare blankly at the dressing mirror in front if me. The only thing that seem to change around here was the fact that I have a room connected to Kayden's room from the inside.
"Will you at least try to smile? You are not going to a funeral but to breakfast" Scarlet chided, nudging me towards the door.
"It's just feel so strange an usual to be sitting at the same table with the people I was served" I had tried talking my way out of going to breakfast but there was no convincing Kayden of anything. At this point, I just think he likes forcing you to do things he know you don't want to do.
"You will get used to it the same way Rebekah did. Now off you go" I made a face at her as she shut the door on my face. Putting on a straight face, I ignore the curious stare of the servants as I stepped into the huge private dining room where Alpha, Beta, Gamma and their mates usually eat. The servants were no longer giving me death stare, they look away from me quickly when I walked into the room or just gave me their usual curious stare like I was a puzzle they were trying to solve.
I took the empty seat beside Kayden and one of the maid rushed over to help me dish my food.
"Took you a while" I heard Kayden said as he leaned towards me, darting a look around the table, I shift away from him so he was no longer leaning towards me. Yes he was doing me a favour by avoiding me cause I don't think I could ever forgive him for what he did to Heather despite me begging him. I wanted him to regret what he did.
"So Luna, how does it feel to be sitting with us for the first time?" Amelia asked breaking the silence, Damon coughed.
"Good. And I'm done" Before anyone could stop me, I stood up and left. I had only manage to take two spoonful of food before Amelia decided to spoil it for me, I'm starting her hatred for me ran deeper than the necklace accident or she could still be mad at me about that. I waited for breakfast to be over so I can go and talk to her.
"The councils hadn't said anything for the past few days and I'm starting to worry, I mean they are usually not silent this long after threatening someone which mean they are planning something" Scarlet said pacing around the room.
"Exactly. With Sophia's death being investigated the guards are watching me, they seems to be everywhere I go. I don't know if Kayden station them to watch over me or he thinks I killed Sophia. I just don't understand what is going on around here" I agreed, the door opened without a single knock and Rebekah stride in.
"You should really learn to ignore Amelia, at this point I have no idea what her problem is" She told me.
"I was thinking maybe I should just apologize to her, that might help" I replied before leaving the room, someone immediately snatch me as I stepped out. I relaxed when I figured out it was Alpha Kayden. He pushed me against the wall closing the door behind us, I opened my mouth to scream at him to let me go but his lips captured mine instead.
I didn't know how much I miss his lips on mine until now and I hate the both of us for it, I moaned into his mouth as he grind his pelvis against me. All the bone in my body seem to have melted as he begin to kiss me down my neck area, he paused at the certain spot where he had marked me, the wound has healed and it was starting to turn into a tattoo bite.
He suck hard on the spot coursing me to cry out in pleasure, my fingers crawled around his hair and when I tugged at it, he groaned right before he pulled apart. Evidence of the kiss we just shared a moment ago vanished replace by an angry look, without another word I push the door opened wondering what the fuck just happened. First he kiss me and glared at me like I had force him to kiss me?
Shaking my head, I walked towards Amelia's room, as I made to knock the door a familiar voice from the other side life making me frown. I told myself I'm hearing things that there is no way I just heard Miranda miserable laugh.
"You did a good job" The voice said again. "I mean no one suspected you killed Sophie, you must continue to keep up the act. By the time we are done with them, they won't see any of it coming"
"No worries, I have got this all covered" I heard Amelia replied in a tone of voice I've never heard her used before.
Amelia was the one who killed Sophia? I froze in shock. I never even thought for a second she would do something like that, I thought she liked Sophia? Who would have see that coming!
