I swear to the sl*tty goddess

I swear to the sl*tty goddess

Saviour's POV

I kick the door open, storming through even as the wood cracks against the wall.
My wolf is already clawing at my chest, anger roaring in my blood. But the first face I see makes me freeze.

“Leo?” I whisper.

His eyes lock on mine immediately. Standing in the middle of the cabin, Leo's eyes watch us like he'd been waiting for a while.
His lips twitch into that familiar smirk, but I can see the caution in the wide distance he kept from the door.

For a moment, I forget all my anger… My brother is here.
But then my gaze shifts and that anger multiplies a thousand times when I see my son lying on the floor… naked.

His chest is rising in shallow, weak breaths, his skin looks pale and slick with sweat. His body looks frail with traces of recently healed wounds over his arms.

His hair stays plastered to his forehead as sweat trickles down his body. He looks… broken.

My eyes darken, drawing into slits right before I charge at Leo.

My fist smashes into his jaw before he gets to form a word. His head whips sideways, blood splashing from his mouth as he staggers back.
The guards react instantly, drawing out their sharp blades as they proceed to check every corner, every space within and around.
Leo raises a hand, the other blocking his face. “Fuck…. wait…”

I don’t wait.

My fist rams into his abdomen, causing him to bend over with a sharp cry, his breath rapid as he gasps for air.
I punch his ribs, growling in dissatisfaction when I hear just two of them crack.

“WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!” I roar.
Leo looks around shocked as items on the wall shake from the strength in my voice.

Raven is already on the floor, her hands on Solan’s face, patting gently. “Baby wake up. S..Solan we're here… please baby wake up…” She whispers desperately, her voice breaking into sobs.

Leo spits blood on the floor, groaning. “I didn’t…”

My fist slams into his face again, cutting him off as his head slams into the wall, the impact staining the wall with blood, dripping from a cut right above his eyes.

“Why Leo? What did we do to you?!” Raven screams, the pain in her voice raw. She glances at me with wild frightened eyes before looking back at Solan.

Her fingers tremble as she brushes his damp hair from his face. “He looks so weak, Saviour. I don't know what to do.”

My chest heaves when I hear the panic in her voice. Throne takes off his jacket, quickly covering Solan's waist down.

I barely glance at my son. I'm too much of a coward to actually do it a second time… terrified that if I look too long, I’ll crumble. Because then I'll see how badly I've failed him. How late I truly am.
My fists shake, my breath seizes, my sight turns blurry.
Gathering the strength in me, refusing to let my emotions overwhelm me, I grab Leo's collar before slamming back against the wall.

“I’ll ask one last time… What did you do to him?!”

Leo coughs blood, his eyes filled with madness.
“NOTHING!” he yells, red spittle flying. “Fuck! I saved his damn life and this is how you repay me?!” He thrashes in my grip before glaring at the corner where Solan's head now rests in his mother's lap.

“Hey, Solan! I swear to the slutty goddess if you don’t snap out of that headspace right now, I’ll hunt you forever… as a ghost! I’ll make it impossible for you to sleep a fucking wink! You'll never get to wank in peace cause I'll be in all your damn imaginations.”

“D..do you…” Solan groans from his unconsciousness.
Raven gasps, tears rushing to her eyes.
“S..Solan,” she stutters, carefully brushing his hair when he groans again.
“Do you ever shut up?” Solan frowns after getting it all out. “And why do you smell like mom?” He mutters in annoyance, his eyes flickering open.

Raven leans down, her teary face dropping to meet his.
“M..Mom?” Solan whispers in confusion. “MOM!” He exclaims suddenly, his eyes adjusting to the light as he attempts to jump up.
Raven opens her mouth to say something but ends up collapsing against him as he pulls her down. She wraps him in her arms as she rocks him.

His weak arms wrap around her shoulders as he inhales. “I missed you,”
Raven shakes her head. “I should have been there… I should have.”

The fire in me stutters, my chest burning with the urge to pull my son into my arms.

“Solan!” Leo shouts, immediately pulling everyone's attention back to him. His face is swollen but his voice is loud, wrapped in annoyance. “Hey, come on! Tell your father I didn’t hurt you!”

Solan blinks, his gaze shifting to Leo. And then to me.
“Dad,” His eyes widen a tiny fraction but it's enough to make me abandon Leo… to remind me how it's the same look he made as a kid right before the grabby hand.

I drop Leo, rushing to Solan.
“I’m sorry,” Solan chokes out, clinging to me instantly. “I tried to fight them but there were so many I couldn’t stop them, and I couldn’t…I ran…”

“No, Solan,” I rasp, pulling him tighter against me. “No, don’t apologize. I'm so proud of you. You are not to blame for anything that happened. I'm so proud of you for surviving that, for giving it your all.”

His chest heaves, his smaller body shaking against mine.

Behind us, Throne mutters, “You’re safe now, son. You’re safe.”

Two guards seize Leo by his arms, twisting them behind his back. He grits his bloodstained teeth, looking like we've all betrayed him.

“What do we do with him?” Victor asks.

Before I can answer, Solan lifts his head. His tear-filled eyes drift past me to the doorway.
Jace stands there with his hand gripping the doorframe. A look of guilt plaguing his features.

“Dad,” Solan whispers hoarsely. “Leo didn’t hurt me. I woke up in his care. I… I owe him my life.”

“Took you long enough, you little prick.” Leo says with irritation, but there’s relief under his tone.
I rise slowly, turning to face him. My knuckles ache to punch him harder, but my mind reels with one question…

“Why is he naked?” I seethe, hating the ugly possibilities that invade my mind.

“I shifted,” Solan whispers, sounding embarrassed.

“What?” We all exclaim aside from the guards and Leo.

I regretfully look at Leo and he rolls his eyes. With a flick of my finger, the guards release him.

“A thank you would do.” Leo rubs his wrist. “Although I deserve an apology, I'll take what I can get.”

“What did you notice when you found him?” I ask instead. Leo may be weak but if he saved my son, and said nothing, it's because he sensed danger.

Leo rolls his bruised eyes but winces when it burns him. “I noticed nothing but this,” he hisses, slowly slipping his hand into his pocket.
