83 - Empress Regent Han Kana

Kana woke up alone in the huge bed, the place where the Emperor laid beside him is already cold, he probably left earlier than the set time and that made Kana felt much more assured that his journey will be fine.

Sheen came in along with Xiao Yue while another servants followed them carrying a red Phoenix robe, soft cushion with Phoenix crown and set of jewelries.

"Greetings, Empress Regent Han."

Kana was still muddled for he just woke up and he was met by this greetings.

"Who's your Empress Regent?!" He exclaimed while trying to wake up his senses.

"His Majesty left an order to us to dress Your Majesty up as an Empress Regent and we servants must make sure that Your Majesty will attend the morning court." Xiao Yue said and Sheen nodded.

"Xiao Yue is brilliant, and oh this is also from His Majesty." Sheen said as she give a folded paper to Kana.

Kana open it and it says ;

"It's time for my Phoenix to fly, show them how should a real Empress behaves and let them kneel on you. See you when I see you."

"I am the Empress Regent?"

The servants uniformly nodded.

"Yes, and if you stay still there in daze, the morning court session will start now and the ministers will put you down. Now let's move!" Sheen said in all authority.

One of the servant helped Kana wash up, clean his teeth.

One of the servant prepared breakfast.

After that Xiao Yue and Sheen helped him wear his clothes for his sexuality is still a secret to everyone except for those people who got Kana's trust.

Then Sheen put on the Phoenix crown on his head and then Xiao Yue applied some light make up on him.

"Oh my, Your Majesty look really beautiful."

"Yes indeed, the most suitable one to be an Empress."

Kana and Sheen echoed each other throwing praises to him but Kana shook his head.

"The Empress is still in the Cold Palace, I am just the Empress Regent now for the time being until His Majesty will come back. Alright let's go to the Heavenly Hall."

The ministers are already waiting in the Heavenly Hall where the Morning court session usually presides.

A screen was place right infront of the Dragon throne which made the ministers wonder who will officiate them today.

Is it the Empress Dowager?

But she is currently sick.

Moments later, someone wearing red which vaguely seen in the screen sat on the throne.

Khlui stepped forward and he opened a big red scroll.

"Announcing the Imperial decree!" He shouted to gather everyone's attention.

"Beloved Subjects, This Emperor left the Empire for an important matter and also to protect the borders. This Emperor wanted to announce that Imperial Noble Consort Han will be the Empress Regent until This Emperor will return, This Emperor shall expect Beloved Subjects to be respectful and kind to Empress Regent Han. Whatever Beloved Subjects' problems in the future while This Emperor is away, do not hesitate to ask help to our Empress Regent Han."

"End of the decree, Ministers, His Majesty left for more peace and His Majesty hopes that peace can remain in the capital while His Majesty is away."

Khlui bowed on the official who was silent for a moment.

But Minister Han recovered first from shock. "This minister will respect His Majesty's decree."

Other officials followed him but the faction of the second prince along with Left Prime Minister Park remain stilled.

"Does Left Prime Minister Park has objections?" Khlui glance at him, silently sneering.

"I would not dare, but Your Highness must be aware that The Empress was still alive and was Detained in the Cold Palace." Left Prime Minister Park bitterly said.

Kana motioned to Khlui to remove the screen and everyone saw his majestic appearance.

The ministers was shock, they saw Imperial Noble Consort Han as a dignified and gentle person but the person they saw now is truly majestic, refine and just too beautiful.

"The matter about our Empress who committed adultery and claiming to be framed will be personally dealt by His Majesty once he come back. Does Left Prime Minister Park want This Empress Regent to make a move and give an Imperial edict to proceed on the punishment for Empress Park? People of Siam knew that the punishment of adultery is death by drowning. This Empress Regent can grant that to Left Prime Minister Park, just say the word and this seal, will put to work." Kana sarcastically said as he show the Emperor's Jade Seal.

Audible gasps echoed in the hall, The Emperor really put his trust on Empress Regent Han because he handed his seal without hesitation and fear that someone might lead a rebellion and usurp the throne.

After the ministers saw the Emperor's Jade Seal, all of them kneeled down even the proud and mighty Left Prime Minister Park.

Deep inside he is so mad that he wanted to choke Empress Regent Han to death, he sent his people to investigate the incident about Empress Park but they found nothing, no evidence can prove that Empress Park is indeed framed, each lead they found will lead into Empress Park committed a crime on adultery and making the ruler of the nation wore a green hat*.

"This Empress Regent hope that everything is clear, As This Empress Regent will handle the court, Noble Consort Song will handle the inner court affairs and the harem. This set up will remain until His Majesty returns." Kana said, his voice still full of authority, his whole demeanor shouts dignity, power and grace.

Left Prime Minister Park glared AT right Prime Minister Song who look away and deliberately avoided his gaze.

'Let's see until when you will sit on that Dragon throne, let's see what will you do if the Emperor won't come back alive! You won't even have the chance to see his dead body!' Left Prime Minister Park ranted in his mind then he threw a knowing look at Prince Haii who nodded at him.

Prince Haii's eyes didn't left Kana who looked very regal on that throne, it seems like she is fitted and destined on that spot.

'This was the same person who I tried to kill before, I will not wait until his memories will return and he will find out that it was me who push him off the roof that almost killed her. I should dispose her soon' Prince Haii thought as he nodded at Left Prime Minister Park.

After the morning court session, Left Prime Minister Park sents a secret letter to all his faction members with only short message inside.

"We will make move after 7 days."

Without them knowing that Kana manage to take a hold of that letter.
