Embrace the light (clairvoyant)-Chapter 37. Trusting Her

Walt's POV

She was finally out of the ER, she had been stabilized. Miraculously she only had a hairline fracture on her shin, though she bumped her head pretty hard, all her scans came back negative. But she would be staying at the hospital, for another day or two for observation.

"Dr. Hayes, she is stable and we managed an ultrasound and get the heartbeat of the baby, looks like she's at week six. I've adjusted her medication with her pregnancy and gave her Prenatal vitamins. But I suggest that she go get checked out by her OB and schedule another ultrasound next week, hopefully we can hear the heartbeat more clearly by week seven..." the attending doctor kept on explaining her condition to me, but I didn't even get her name my mind was elsewhere. I heard what I needed to hear, that she was good and that the baby was also good.

I finally relaxed back to my chair, as the doctor was out the door. She had minor bruises and cuts on her arms, face, and knuckles and she was still turning back and forth in her sleep, as she was mildly sedated because of the baby.

Taking her hand in mine I let my energy flow throughout her body, I kissed her bruised knuckles and caressed her cheek. I'm so sorry baby, I truly am... I love you so much...

She must've felt me as her eyes fluttered open. I love you too...

But then she looks around at her surrounding, she was remembering the accident then instinctively put her hand on her stomach as to feel the baby her eyes were looking at me, waiting. I smile widely at her, cupped her face, and kissed her lips lightly, then whispered in her ear.

"The baby is good, thank you, my love..." I backed away and looked at her eyes then kissed her forehead as she sighed and rest her back to the pillow.

"Walter... I was..." her voice was raspy as she tries to talk to me.

"Sssh... just rest for now baby, we will talk again tomorrow. I love you, I'm so sorry, it's all my fault baby, we will have our happy ever after, I don't ever want to fight with you ever again. I fucking love you too much my love."

I gave her small kisses as she closed her eyes, and rest back with a smile on her face. I let her sleep while I keep on holding her hand, and looked at her beautiful features, thinking that I would take my leap of faith with her. I would do anything to have her in my life, I felt like I've aged ten years that night, the worry, the sadness, the anxieties all were bringing me down.

Two days later, she was released from the hospital. Shani and Arkael visited her just hours before we went home, she was upset that I didn't inform her but then back down when Arkael took her hand in his.

Well.. this is new...

She had never stop herself from expressing her true feelings, but with one touch Arkael seemed to calm her down. Maybe he was good for her, I guess I was damn wrong and Flo was right all along.

"Arkael, I owe you an apology. Please take care of Shani for me, she had been taking care of me since I've known her. She might test your patience but she has the most gentle heart. I should've listen to Florence and back down, I know that now." I said as I held out my hand to him, but he pulled me in for an awkward hug, making the girls laugh behind us.

"Erm... yeah sorry, I'm still adjusting to the human interaction. Shani has been crashed coursing me. So.. we should eh.. just shake hand then?"

I was trying my hardest to keep my face as still as possible, trying to understand his situation.

"Come here..." then I gave him my manly hug and slap his back as a friendly gesture.

"Right. Thanks." Arkael said as he let out a little smile and backed down and take his place back beside Shani. She instantly kissed his cheek and slither her arm around his waist making him relax his stance.

"So now that our closest friends are here, let me do this right." I was grasping on the little blue box that had been occupying my pants pocket. I slipped out of the hospital yesterday afternoon when she was having her nap and take a quick trip downtown and find the perfect ring for her.

I felt nervous as get down on one knee, but then confidence kicked in as her smile grew wider and her eyes were teary. "Flo baby, please accept this ring and be my ever after, please say yes and we will spend the rest of our lives and grow old together. Florence, my love will you be my wife?" I said while I open the box and then waited for her reply.

She was nodding her head, her eyes were teary as she opens her arms for me. "Yes! yes! thousand times yes!"

I slipped her the ring then kissed her hard, as she hugged me and I pulled her in tighter while still careful with her bruises.

"Thank you, baby, I love you... always..."

"I love you too... always..." she breathed her words as I kissed her forehead.

"Oh my god! you guys! congratulations!" Shani finally joined us and hugged both of us, while Arkael was just standing like the new kid in the class making us laugh.

"Arkael! come here man... give us a hug, you have been watching Florence and making sure that she's safe all her life, I owe you my life for that." He finally joined us, making Shani let out her laughter.

We finally arrived home a couple of hours later, after we said our goodbyes and promised Shani and Arkael that we will meet up for lunch next week.

Milo was happy when he saw her as he kept on circling around her feet. We finally snuggle together on the sofa, while relaxing and watching a movie. She was resting her head on my chest, as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder, Milo was sleeping by her feet.

"This is perfect, I'm sorry that you have to go through all that. I should've trusted you, I don't know how you could forgive me, but thank you... I love you so much, baby." I kissed her hair lovingly.

"It's what suppose to happen, Walt, I love you so much too... now kiss me, baby, I've missed you, I've missed us..." she said as she pulled my face down to her, and mold her lips with mine.

I was giving her all my love, I was taking my leap of faith with her, I was trusting her with my life. I would follow her to the end of the earth and jump if she asked me to.

She is my love...
