Snow starred into the fire, watching how the flames were dancing in front of her while she chewed on a big piece of meat while deep in thought.
She sat in the grand library with books and trinkets scattered around the place looking like she hadn’t been sleeping in ages. Her once beautiful complexion was now even more paler then usual and her once sparkling eyes had now lost their lifelessness.
After finishing eating the meat she tree the bone into the fireplace and sighed deeply while using her eyes.
With her eyes closed she could dream she was there with him together with their child instead of the cold reality she lived in everyday. The painful reality she had slowly accepted of being stuck her for the rest of her life being away from HIM.
Her heart was formed between anger and sadness. Anger because he has pushed her away, sadness because she missed him still and on top of that she missed their child, a child that should have seen the light of day by this time but never would because of that evil woman, Anastasia, Micah’s mother!
Her lips suddenly suddenly started to tremble as she felt herself choke up as a lonely tear escaped her sad, hollow eye.
Feeling drowned again in her unwelcoming emotions she suddenly hears commotion outside the library, waking her up from her dark thoughts, making her growl.
“Who dares to disturb the queen on this hour?!” She yelled while her angry eyes scanned the dark ominous looking hallway who reflected her current state of mind.
“Ehm…m…me your Wickedness” squeaked a low voice of a scared looking Troll who was shaking like a leaf.
“What do you want Troll?! Do you have a death wish or what?” She hissed in close proximity of his face making him to gulp.
“Hu…man…humans m..my Queen” he hiccuped while staring at the point of his shoes wondering why he had to be the one to bring this kind of bad news to the queen, knowing that it could cost him his life.
Snow’s eyes narrowed as she processed the troll’s words. “Humans? Here?” she spat, her voice dripping with disdain. “How many?”
The troll trembled even more, his voice barely a whisper.
“T… two, my Queen. They… they seem to be searching for something or someone.” he answered fearfully
Snow’s mind raced. Humans were the last she wanted to see her in her Kingdom. The last time they ventured into her mother’s icy domain which she inherited, had changed the lives of her dear family forever and not in a good way!
“What could they possibly want?” she muttered to herself, her anger momentarily giving slightly way to curiosity.
“Show me where they are, NOW!,” she commanded, her voice cold and authoritative. The troll nodded frantically and led her through the winding corridors of the castle. As they approached the entrance, Snow felt a sudden rush of something deep steer in her cold, numb feeling heart, unsettling her already messed up emotional state of mind.
Outside close to the gates Avius and Micah hid themselves from the harsh blistering cold while keeping an eye on their surroundings, looking for any signs of an up coming ambush of some sorts.
Inside the place the troll peered through an crack in the palace door and scanned the palace gardens with his one eye, in search of the human treat while Snow passed up and down the hallway with ragged breath wringing her hands together while thinking of all possibilities.
Who could it be and what are they doing here?? She kept on asking herself.
“Okay troll let me look!” Snow barked losing her patience while pushing the troll away harshly.
She peered outside blinking a couple of times against the feel of the cold hitting her eye with full force. Slowly her eye adjusted to the temperature and she could see more and more of the palace gardens.
Outside the ground was completely covered in a thick layer of fluffy snow, here and there covered with a sticky pool of red. Remnants of her blazing uncontrollable anger that had flared up some days ago when she couldn’t control the anguish anymore that burned her up inside. The limbs of the unfortunate creatures laying around half covered under the snow or ice.
She blinked again and then her heart skipped a beat…
Two figures emerged from just outside the palace gates and slowly plowed trough the snow entering the palace grounds. One hidden in a blanket of some sorts while the other was wearing a big cloak.
She watched as the figures approached slowly until the lights hit the one with the blanket in the face and she gasped in shock.
“Micah!” She whispered under her breath wide eyed.
After all this time he had finally come for her! She thought with a shudder.
Slowly she removed herself and stood up straight and opened the door slowly with her heart almost leaping out of her chest.
The moment the door was open fully the two figures stopped in their tracks and looked straight at the door…
“Snow!” Micah mumbled with trembling half frozen lips.
After that both men walked the last couple of meters to the door until they stood face to face with Snow who now stood straight, looking fierce with glowing eyes as she starred back at the man who she though had left her for good and at the man she thought of the one who left her mother to die!
“My Snow! God I’ve missed you!” Micah muttered while wrapping his arms around her, pulling her flush against him while he leaned into her and missed her softly but deeply on her lips.
Snow felt her insides tingle and turn into mush as he body happily took what it had missed for so long while her mind warned her not to be so foolish to give in to a man again!
A war ignited within her and when the finally broke the kiss she raised her hand and slapped Micah hard in his face!…
“What the hell Snow!!” Micah yelled in shock while grabbing his cheek.
