Chapter 98 Till death do us apart
Madison's POV
Everything still felt like a movie to me.
I wanted believe I was having an awful dream and would wake up soon but days went by and everything was still the same.
The new information still lived raw... In my heart, occupying a lot of space.
All I did was just walk around - soullessly.
Like I had no other purpose in life.
My phone pinged from the nightstand, alerting me of a new message.
Messages I was already well familiar with.
My mother and my real mother - God, my life sounded too complicated, It hurt so much. But yeah, they had been sending series of apology messages and begging for me to heed to their advices.
It would've been easy if I wasn't in love with Alessandro.
I couldn't leave him.
"Urgh!"
At first, I didn't want to see reasons with whatever they did but after I had thought about Kat and how she was tossed from Alessandro to that man she was about to get engaged to... I understand Maria so well.
She just wanted the best for me. Like any other mother.
Of course, it wasn't her fault that I still managed to enter the wrong hands but she had the power to save me from it, yet she didn't.
If she had checked up on me once in those 12 lonely years, I probably would've been under her protection too.
Now I was too fucked and too entangled with what she tried to keep me away from.
It was going to be hard.
"Raven, you've been stuck on that bed for days. I don't think I've seen you outside." Alessandro held the door open.
See?
Even Alessandro noticed my mood change.
"I've not been feeling it. Maybe it's my period." I lied, forcing a smile.
"Oh. Women things." He scratched the back of his neck. He shut the door behind him, making his way into the room, but he doesn't come to me.
"We're going to leave this room. You know, do something fun with our lives." Alessandro said, flipping through my side of the dresser.
Since I spent more time in his room, he had moved my things to his room. Important ones.
Was this the type of person they wanted me to leave?
It was fact that I was going to die before I leave Alessandro willingly but deep down, there was question I couldn't bring myself to ask myself.
But I had to.
Would Alessandro still want to be with me even after finding out that I was his enemies child?
Fuck.
I knew the answer deep down but I didn't want to believe it.
There was a reason why exceptions existed right?
Wouldn't this situation count as one where an exception should exist?
Cry.
Don't cry.
Tell him.
Don't tell him.
My head was a mess. Thoughts danced around my head, causing it to bang hard.
"Anywhere you want." Alessandro finished his question, zipping up my jean crop top.
My eyes slowly took in my outfit. One I didn't even realize I was putting on.
Robot.
That was what I had been acting like.
"Baby are you sure you're good? You've been acting dull. Is there something you're not telling me?"
Tell him now or else he'd find out and it'll be grave.
Tell him, Madison. Don't lie.
"Nothing at all. I'll like to visit a flower shop." I told him, smiling at him.
"Of all places?" He scrunched up his nose in dissatisfaction.
I chuckled for the first time that week, "what? You asked me to tell you where I'd like to go to."
I needed to scent something sweet.
To see something colorful other than the black hole I found myself falling into.
He sighed, placing a soft kiss on my neck. I giggled, pushing him away lightly.
"It tickles."
"Want to know what doesn't tickle?" He pulled me into his chest, his arms wrapped around my waist firmly.
I had a feeling it wasn't something good but I asked anyway, "what?"
His lips lifted into a cocky smirk, his hands moving down to my ass. He squeezed roughly, growling, "my cock... Inside that pretty cunt of yours."
"Alessandro?" I called out to him, tapping my ears lightly. "Alessandro!"
"What?" His forehead creased into confusion.
"Did you say something?" I asked.
"What do you fucking mean?" He frowned
"I can't hear you everything you say. Especially the thing about cock and something." I tried holding my smile but it broke out.
Alessandro pinched his nose with his free hand, shaking his head as he laughed lightly.
"You're so dramatic." He smiled at me. "I love it." He pulled me into his body again, planting a soft kiss on my lips.
It was tender and doting.
Every clash of our tongue sent electric sparks down my body. His kiss was different - more soft and tender.
Like he was passing a message.
"Didn't you want to take me out?" I said breathlessly, placing my hand on his chest. Thank goodness he was holding my waist!
My legs were wobbly from the kiss.
"Can I change my -"
"No, Sir." I shook my head, breaking out of his grip.
I led him out of the room, listening to his footsteps to know if he followed suit.
The ride to the flower shop was filled with us talking about random things. His hand was placed on my thigh, squeezing lightly.
Alessandro had changed so much. It was as though he was a different person with me.
"You can't leave me, Alessandro." I suddenly said out of the blue, unable to mask that particular feeling.
The engine came to a stop, then slowly he turned to me. "Why...why would I do that? You're my woman, Raven. You don't know what that means, do you?"
I knew
But I still wanted the assurance.
"What does it mean?"
He held my hand, placing a soft kiss at the back of my palm. "It means, till death do us apart. "
Five words.
Those were all I needed to feel alive.
Maybe he'd still want me after finding out my true identity.
Maybe I was his exception.
"Is that what has been bothering, Belle?" He pushed a tendril of hair to the back of my ear, caressing my cheek.
"Maybe."
"Just remember those words, Belle." He patted my cheek. "Let's go have some fun time with the flowers."
"Yay." I mimicked his dull tone, chuckling afterwards. "Just 10 minutes and you can take me to wherever you want."
"Whereve-"
"That doesn't do with a private suite!" I added immediately. I knew this man.
He huffed, stepping out of the car to open the door for me.
Chivalry wasn't dead after all.
As we entered the flower shop, the sweet smell of pollen and petals hit my nostrils. Many people may find it weird or rather, disagree, but somehow inhaling those calmed me down.
I felt some sort of inner peace.
That didn't last long.
"Woof!"
A small puppy barked at me, turning around in circles.
My face lit up into a huge smile. "Hey small guy." I crouched down, ruffling it's furs.
"Don't touch it." Alessandro scolded from behind me.
"It's cleannn. And cute." I carried it up. "Who's a cutie! It's you."
It barked, all giddy.
"Gigi!" A lady appeared from nowhere, looking around until her eyes stopped on my hand, where I held the dog.
"This yours?"
"I'm so sorry about her." Oh, it was a girl. "She usually doesn't run to strangers but she must really like you."
"You like me, Gigi? Yes, you do." I chuckled, ruffling her furs again. "She's so cute. What breed is this please?"
"A cavapoo." The lady smiled, watching me softly.
"Ahh."
I wanted one.
So I turned to Alessandro. He took a step back, eyeing me.
"W..what is it?"
I pushed the dog outward, pouting. "I want one, please!!!"
Alessandro shook his head almost immediately.
"Look, she's so cute. Touch her." He jumped back, stretching his hand as if to keep distance between us.
"Don't come close with that thing!"
I paused, my mouth falling open in shock.
Alessandro had a fear!!!
