Madison's POV
Legends don't just die without a fight.
And so I did just that.
I almost didn't survive it.
That day Adrianne raised a false alarm about the van getting missing.
That was our plan B to get out of any tough situation.
The bald lady was the first to run since she was the overall head, leaving the guy to handle the situation there.
And guys, that was how I went all Kung Fu Panda on him, running and dodging bullets.
Eventually, I missed the angry women who were trying to kill me.
What happened to women supporting women?
Luckily, I stumbled on a pair of house cleaning attire and hurriedly changed into it, getting rid of my wig immediately and anything that could implicate me.
Unfortunately, one of the girls caught onto my lie and we went all ballistic, throwing vicious punches at each other until one of us passed out.
Which was likely she.
If Alessandro's men hadn't stepped in at that moment, I would've died from the pain that tore through my rib and jaw.
"Take it easy." I heard Alessandro's voice say and then felt his hand on my thigh.
Groaning, I held my ribs. "Fucking bitch."
I hadn't stopped cussing that girl who did this to me but knowing she was in a pretty worse condition gave me a sense of satisfaction.
"You did it baby." Alessandro smiled at me. Like genuinely smiled. In fact, it had a hint of... "I'm fucking proud of you."

"How's Moon? Is she good?" I croaked out, my whole body was on fire.
It was as though all the pains were just released from whatever cage they were in, tripling up.
"Doctor Alfred said you'd feel terrible for a few days and you'd be up on your feet like nothing ever happened." Alessandro eyes went hard, his jaw clenching. "I'll teach that bald mother fucker a lesson. She and her idiot twin."
"And get me that girl that did this, I'd like to have a quick conversation with her." I joked, laughing only to wince.
His tone was serious when he said, "I will."
"I was joking, Alessandro. The fight was fair." I told him, placing my hand on his.
He sighed, staying quiet for a while. "I'm not promising that I won't hunt all of them down. One by One."
A small smile crept to my lips. "Of course. You're one stubborn man."
He leaned in, placing a soft kiss on my lips. "And you're stuck with me."
"I'm not complaining." My hand wrapped around his waist, pulling him close.
I missed his body so much.
"Can we go back to fucking now?" I chuckled, rubbing his back up and down, ignoring the pain that ripped through me from twisting and straining.
"I knew you'd miss my cock." He laughed. "You're one hormonal young woman and lucky for you, I like it."
Rolling my eyes, I grinned.
"But when you recover." His hot breath fanned my neck as he whispered, "so recover fast so I can fuck that pretty wet cunt of yours."
His hand moved up my thigh, making my breath hitch.
"I bet if you slip in a finger, something will bite you. Wanna try?" I was trying to lure him.
He pushed me back lightly, raising his eyebrow at me before bursting into fits of laughter. "You fraud." He tapped my nose. "I'd gladly do that but first, you have to come say hi to those idiots before they tear my house down."

"Waiting for you." He held my face in his hand. "They're all proud of you."
My heart swelled.
My eyes itched, tears brewing from within. I couldn't believe I had grown to be a woman who could take good care of herself and protect people.
I was finally doing it.
I had stopped being weak.
"Thank you, Alessandro." It was all him.
My savior.
"I'll go calm the storm while you get dressed, okay?" He placed a kiss on my forehead, shooting me a glance before leaving.
That was where the real battle started. My whole body was crushed.
After thirty minutes of groaning, wincing and grunting while bathing and dressing up, I strolled downstairs.
Moon was the first to spot me. Her little feet padded against the cold tiles until she got to me.
"My hero!" She wrapped her arm around me, tight. "Thank you, Aunty Maddie."
I crouched down to her level, ruffling her hair. "It wasn't only me. It was everyone in this room, Moon. Thank you for being a brave girl too, okay?"
She nodded, placing a kiss on my cheek.
When I stood up, the whole crew began to clap.
"Jesus Christ, stop guys!" My cheeks were flushed.
Rose and Adrianne were the first to hug me.
"Girl, you were hot out there. You sure you don't want to join these government spi groups?" Adrianne smirked.
"Don't put thoughts in her head." Alessandro scolded, picking Moon up. My eyes zeroed on them.
He looked so perfect with a child in his arm. Much more attractive.
"Thank you so much, Madison. You saved my baby." Rose lips quivered as she spoke, holding my hand.
Sometimes, I hated to be in the spotlight.
"Good work out there, sis." Stefan rubbed my shoulder. "You handled it well."
Nikolai pulled me in for a bone crushing hug, "I owe you a strip show, if your man don't mind. I could get 10 guards to join in..."
"You're disgusting." Adrianne snorted.
"And might probably be dead once you try to pull that shit up." Alessandro frowned at him.
"They don't have to know." Nikolai whispered in my ears, making me laugh.
"My body is on fire, Niko." I groaned. He quickly let go.
"Wow, I didn't know I was that hot." Nikolai yelled loudly, eyeing Alessandro whose look could really send him 6 feet under.
"I'd dig the grave." Stefan yelled, stuffing his mouth with something from the kitchen.
"And I'll knock him out for you." Adrianne chimed in. Nikolai placed his hand on his chest, pouting at her.
"Not you too baby girl." I looked at Alessandro when Nikolai called her that. He looked fine.
He probably thought he was joking.
Adrianne pushed him away as he tried to hug her. Nikolai followed her around, tormenting her. "Come onnnn, you love me. You can't do that to your man."
"Leave her the fuck alone." Alessandro yelled, eyeing Nikolai.
"Language, Alessandro! You're holding my child." Rose yelled from the kitchen, making me laugh.
"I know that word. Fuck." Moon repeated, making everyone turn to her. "Pussy."

Rose's eyes widened as she stepped into the kitchen. She gripped Alessandro's ears, twisting it.
Alessandro dropped Moon down gently, yelling. "Ow!"
"You imbecile! What did you teach my kid."
Nikolai and Stefan tried to break them off while Adrianne and I laughed.
"Daddy A didn't teach me. It was the ... the bad people." Moon suddenly spoke out after giggling. "Is it a bad word mummy?"
Rose let go of Alessandro's ear, snapping her finger. "You're lucky. Even though I feel like she's trying to cover you up."
Alessandro frowned, sticking out his tongue.
Very mature. Note the sarcasm.
It was fun to see he had a childish side.
Rose crouched down to Moon's level, telling her something in a hushed tone before placing a kiss on her forehead and letting her go to Alessandro again.
"Mummy is just jealous that you know cool stuff." Alessandro said audibly, earning a death glare from Rose.
Nikolai's hand found Adrianne's waist and she didn't flinch or push him away. Stefan tried to pick something from the pan, causing Rose to spank him with a spatula and Moon explained something to Alessandro and he was so attentive.
Standing there, watching everything... I could say I was indeed lucky to be among such wonderful persons.
"Come here." Alessandro stretched his hand to me, still holding Moon up. He pulled out a chair with his leg and helped me sit
"Thank you." I smiled at him.
Rose and Adrianne set the dinning table and filled it up with varieties.
"What are we celebrating?" Moon asked.
"Survival." Her mother answered. "Bravery. Team work."
"Emphasis on team work." I said, looking at every one of them. "I can't emphasize how much of a good team mate y'all are. Every one of you. You all play an important role in this clan and in my life. I can't ask for a better family because this is all I need - the chaos, the love, the team spirit."
My eyes were teary.
"You've all showed me love and thought me to be a better version of myself. For that, I'm so grateful. Thank you for always having my back guys." My voice broke, the tears streaming down my cheek.
I quickly wiped it away, laughing. Adrianne was the first to hug me and then the rest of them followed suit, resting on top of each other.
"God, you're too sweet." Rose sniffled, rushing to the kitchen.
"Can we get to the eating part now?" Stefan rushed to sit down, holding his fork and spoon.
"Are you a glutton, Uncle Stef?" Moon eyed him softly.
"No, I'm just a man." Stefan's reply made us all laugh.
Alessandro wouldn't stop looking at me from where he sat beside me.
Everyone gathered around the table once the food arrived. After eating, we sat to chat and share fun moment during mission and out of missions.
Moon played games on her tab since she couldn't relate and Rose just listened and added one or two.
Apparently, she used to help in some missions too.
Minor ones.
Alessandro leaned in, close to my ear. "How well can you stifle your moan?"
My eyes snapped open when his finger brushed through bare slit.
"No panties?" He chuckled darkly. "Were you anticipating this?"
"Everyone is here." I whispered, raising my eyebrow.
