"Friends? I think you misunderstood our relationship a little. We dated for almost four years and you thought it was just an ordinary friendship?" Alex started to raise his voice while looking at me with his vicious eyes.

I'm getting more and more nervous and feel like there was never anything special about our previous relationship that I can't even really remember clearly.

"Come on, Alex. Stop it! This is a very important moment for Katherine, don't ruin it by discussing the past!" Depney said reprovingly.

Helga touched my shoulder, trying to calm me who was shaking slightly. Meanwhile, Ben could only remain silent and pretend he didn't hear anything.

"Okay, the show will start soon. Come on, Miss Sally, come with me!" Ben asked gently.

"Yes, okay. Excuse me?" I said, still in the same condition, nervous and shaking, even looking paler than when I first arrived.

"Yes, go, cheer up, Kate? We support you!" Depney and Helga encouraged me while smiling broadly, they waved their hands in joy. Meanwhile Alex continued to look at me with a look that I couldn't understand.

I looked at Ben who was standing next to me with authority, he looked very charismatic. I can understand why Jenny used to date him.

"You keep looking at me? Watch your feelings!" Said Ben teasing me. He smiled.

"Huh? What?" I was stunned, I didn't understand what he meant. Seeing my confused reaction, Ben laughed out loud showing his very charming smile.

"Hahaha...I'm sorry for confusing you, it's just that you've been daydreaming all the time. I just wanted to relax you a little," he said.

"I'm sorry, thank you for worrying about me. I was just a little shocked because I met someone I almost forgot about,"

"I understand, but today you are the star. So, don't let it bother you, have fun?" Said Ben. He patted my shoulder lightly. I don't know why we got along like this. I hope it's not because he is my sister's ex-boyfriend.

"Yeah, I understand," I said.

"Hi Ben, can you introduce us to the young lady beside you?" Said some men who suddenly came over to us.

"Of course, Miss Sally, introduce yourself, they are a team that also works at the publishing house. However, it seems like they have never met you,"

"Ah yes, I've never met them before either." I answered a little awkwardly.

"I'm Jonathan, nice to meet you, Miss Sally!" He said as he took my hand and kissed it.

"Introducing, I'm Richard. You are prettier than I thought,"

"Hey Richard, no need to flirt. Miss Sally, meet the two of them, Paul and Thomas, they've both only been working for two months." Said Ben who introduced two other young men.

"Thank you for helping my work a lot during the publication process, I'm really grateful," I said a little nervously.

"That's our job, no need for thanks!" Said Richard.

After this introductory scene, I still had to meet a lot of people. Including my fans who have come. I, who was nervous at first, slowly started to enjoy what I was feeling right now, for some reason it felt so good.

In a different corner, Helga, Depney and Alex continued to look at me who was starting to shine again like before. Yes, being in the limelight as a very talented young writer.

I approached Jennie, but the man immediately left as soon as I started walking. I don't know who he is and what he wants to do to come to my event?
