"No Dad I'm not up for a celebration," I said annoyed.

"I'm not taking a no for an answer," he said stubbornly.

My Dad wants to celebrate our victory over king Caspian's death ' only if he knew'.

It's Been a week since the last time I saw him. I feel nothing. It's like all of my feelings have been deleted from my system.

I didn't eat, sleep, or talk I'm not my self lately.

Ignore people as much as I can. I have been avoiding any type of conversation with anyone.

"But-" "no buts here is your dress get ready we have a ball to attend to," he said and left.

I huffed and went to stand near my balcony watching my surroundings. It's calm and beautiful. I closed my eyes and felt cold wind flowing around me. And whenever I close my eyes all I see is a pair of grey eyes looking at me constantly.

I instantly opened my eyes. I miss him so much.

I exhaled deeply and turned around and saw the dress kept on my bed. It was a beautiful Marun gown it was strapless and royal, it was a simple long gown, there were cute maroon roses on my waist belt it was perfect.

I went to my bathroom took a shower and my personal maids barged in with lots of things in their hands.

I shook my head and sat on the stool in front of the dressing table.

They soon started their work. one handled my hair, one handled my make-up and my dress.

Later I was done the dress fit me perfectly, hugging my body. My hair was left down it was strange but curled at the end. My eyes looked big cause of the eye makeup. I stared at my reflection and a very different and beautiful girl stared back.

She looked beautiful, strong, calm, and alive totally opposite of me.

"You look, beautiful Ma'am," Anna said one of my maids.

I smiled in response. That was all I could manage.

"Angel," said my Dad as he entered my room.

"You look stunning," he said and kissed my cheek.

I gave him a small smile.

"Everyone has arrived let's go," he said but stopped " wait. Here wear this " he said and handed me a mask. It was half-mask which only covered my upper face it was Marun as well it was cat eyes shaped.

"Thanks," I said and took it from him.

"Don't wear it just now. I need to introduce you first " he said and held his arm for me to take.

I held his arm and exited my room to the great hall.

We walked through the huge door. Everyone stopped talking all eyes were on me. I felt nervous all types of royal supernatural beings were here.

We made our way to all the people Dad introduced me to all the kings and queens. I was least interested in them.

I was feeling different. I was feeling uneasy.

everyone put on their masks and the lights went dim. I too put on my mask.

Soon the dance floor was filled with many couples dancing and enjoying themselves.

"Can I have a dance my lady?" asked Cody. He is a wizard. A Prince to be exact.

I was about to reject but Dad gave me a very warning look. I exhale and said yes.

He took me to the Dance floor his right hand on my waist and other in my hand.

Honestly, I felt disgusted. I don't want any man to touch me. A man who isn't my mate.

The thought of him made my eyes watery. But quickly masked it.

"You look really beautiful," he said huskily. His breath fanning on my face. Which made me scroll.

Before I could snap at him. a very strong and sexy voice spoke.

"If you don't mind I would like to have a dance " the voice came from behind me.

"Um sure I guess," Cody said finally freeing me. I was beyond happy to get away from him.

He left and before I could turn a pair of worm strong arms wrapped themselves around me from behind.

"You look breathtaking," said a very sexy and husky voice. Which sent shivers down my spine.

I felt dizzy his scent was driving me crazy. I felt amazing in his arms like I belong there.

He turned me around quickly and I saw his chest first which was under a very nice suit.

As my eyes went higher and higher. First I saw pink full lips. Then a strong and straight nose and finally a pair of eyes.

The eyes which I missed a lot. The eyes y weakness.

I finally got back to my senses and pulled away. A look of sadness passed on his eyes. His face was also covered with a black half mask.

He looks amazing.

I got out of there. I went to the balcony in the nearest room. And I could feel him behind me.

"Why are you here Caspian? " I asked my back facing him.
