Chapter 146 The power of second wife

Chapter 146 The power of second wife
In another part of the Dark City, where Elisa and Pakito were locked in battle, the atmosphere turned heavy, charged with the intense aura radiating from their clash.

Pakito effortlessly countered Elisa’s attacks, seemingly unfazed by the black lightning she unleashed.

"He’s too durable to be crushed by mere lightning," Elisa thought.

Pakito continued his relentless assault. Elisa did nothing but dodge; even when Pakito’s punches connected, his strikes simply phased through her body. She managed to turn her physical form into pure electricity every time his fist made contact. However, she couldn’t hurt him, as his armor absorbed her black lightning.

"What’s the matter? Getting tired of attacking me?" Pakito boasted.

"To be honest, I’m getting bored. It seems that suit of armor you’re wearing is just soaking up all my energy," Elisa replied, appearing completely indifferent.

There was not a hint of fear or anxiety on Elisa’s face, even though her attacks had no effect on her opponent.

Pakito lunged at her with blinding speed, but Elisa evaded him once more. Still, the shockwave from his punch was enough to shatter the ground beneath them. Seeing the town being destroyed by his onslaught, Elisa grew concerned.

"I have to end this, but how do I defeat him without destroying the town?"

She knew she had to lure Pakito away from the buildings to fight more freely. She charged at him again to provoke him. Pakito threw a punch, but this time, Elisa caught his fist.

"What?"

Having successfully grabbed his hand, she threw him with all her might, launching him far away from the area.

Pakito wasn't about to let that happen. While mid-air, he unleashed a powerful aura, allowing him to fly and stabilize himself. Elisa immediately closed the distance, winding up for a strike. She was enveloped in intense black energy as she delivered a full-force punch.

Though Pakito managed to block it, the force sent him flying until he was buried deep into the thick walls of the town.

"His armor really is incredibly sturdy," Elisa remarked.

A moment later, Pakito’s powerful aura blasted away the dust. He emerged from the crater, completely unscathed, his energy levels as high as when the fight began.

"Hahaha! Is that the strongest attack you can show me? What you’re doing is almost useless. Is that really all you’ve got?" Pakito taunted.

"Actually, I really wanted to test the limits of this body, but I didn't want to use my strongest attacks and destroy the town," Elisa replied.

Elisa challenged Pakito to test the durability of his armor. She planned to use a Level 5 Thunder Magic spell from where she stood. Since Pakito was far away and positioned away from the town, she was certain that the civilians would be safe.

"If you truly trust in the power of your armor, I challenge you to withstand a Level 5 Thunder Magic spell."

Pakito laughed at her, boasting that he wasn't afraid of Level 5 magic. "I’ve defeated and withstood many powerful attacks; what you’re about to do means nothing to me."

Elisa smiled at his words and began to gather immense dark energy. "In that case, let me show you just how sturdy that armor of yours really is."

Black lightning crackled around her, followed by the appearance of a massive black magic circle.

"Mighty Thunder Strike!"

She unleashed a massive bolt of lightning that threatened to erase everything in its path. It struck straight toward Pakito, who proudly met the attack with a punch.

"Yaaah!!!"

He was swallowed by the black lightning, followed by a massive explosion that tore through the town's outer wall.

A few moments later, Pakito’s aura dispersed the smoke. He remained floating in the air, without a single scratch, having endured a Level 5 Thunder Magic attack.

"Hahaha, I told you your attacks mean nothing to me," he sneered.

"Oh, you’re right. Aside from the force of your punch to stop my attack, your armor is essentially eating my energy," Elisa said coldly, appearing unfazed.

"You're right. That is why, no matter what you do, your attacks are worthless against me..."

As Pakito spoke, Elisa fired another Level 5 Thunder Magic spell, catching him completely off guard.

"What?"

The speed of the attack was too much for him to counter with a punch, so he was forced to block it with his gauntlets.

BOOM.

The area exploded, releasing a devastating force.

A moment later, Pakito pushed away the smoke with his aura. This time, however, cracks appeared on his gauntlets. Confusion and fear flickered across his face.

"Impossible. Her attack was too fast; I couldn't keep up."

Because he had blocked it, his gear had sustained significant damage.

"Well, you are truly durable," Elisa said coldly.

Elisa cast another Level 5 Thunder spell at Pakito. "Mighty Thunder Strike!"

Pakito was shocked by the follow-up and rushed to punch it away.

"Yaaah!!"

Boom.

Another explosion ripped through the air, and this time, one of Pakito’s gauntlets shattered, leaving him stunned.

"Impossible! How could one of my relics be destroyed?"

He couldn't believe it. He had never seen a creature capable of casting high-tier magic in such rapid succession. "How is she able to attack so quickly?" he whispered, his face pale with terror.

"It seems only your armor is truly impressive," Elisa said coldly, shrouding herself in black energy once more.

Pakito froze as he realized she was about to strike again. "Don't tell me she's going to use Level 5 Thunder Magic again?" he thought.

"Mighty Thunder Strike!"

Without hesitation, Elisa unleashed another massive bolt of black lightning. Pakito desperately tried to meet it with his remaining gauntlet, hoping to stop it.

The area exploded, and the force completely destroyed his final gauntlet. "Impossible... this shouldn't be happening to my dragon relics."

"Well, you really are resilient," Elisa noted coldly.

"You!! How are you able to use Level 5 Thunder Magic so many times in a row? Where are you getting the energy to do that?"

"Ah... That? It’s a small matter. I think I can do this at least ten more times," she replied as she began casting an even larger magic circle. "In truth, I could even use Level 6 Thunder Magic if I wanted to."

Pakito was stunned. He knew it was impossible for a normal creature to possess such vast amounts of energy.

"Thunder God Strike!"

A massive bolt of lightning, nearly ten meters wide, descended upon Pakito.

"No!!! I can't die here!!! No!!!" Pakito screamed as he desperately tried to block it.

Because Elisa’s attack was ten times stronger than her standard strike, Pakito’s armor could not withstand it and began to melt away. The force of the blast caused immense damage to the surroundings, cutting the giant town wall in half.

"Oh dear, I destroyed the wall. That’s going to be a big problem for the town," Elisa sighed.

Feeling that Pakito’s presence was gone, she let out a breath, satisfied that her job was done.

As she flew upward, Lea suddenly appeared beside her. "Well, it looks like you’re finally done, huh! But I still finished my fight before you," Lea boasted.

Elisa looked at her, confused as to why she was there. "Wait, are you here to check if I’m okay? I appreciate the concern, but those enemies were nothing to me."

Lea grew angry and denied being worried, especially since she knew Elisa also possessed the dark energy derived from the Emperor.

"I’m just here to tell you that I defeated my opponent first, and I didn't even have to break a sweat like you did."

Lea noticed that Elisa had drained her energy and struggled in the fight, comparing it to her own battle, where she felt no fatigue.

"Wait, are you competing with me?" Elisa asked coldly.

"Ha? Me? Competing with you? I am clearly more capable and skilled than you are, so why would I bother competing?" Lea retorted.

Elisa agreed, clarifying that she didn't care if Lea competed with her, especially since the bodies they were using were only borrowed. She explained that Lavinia was stronger than Azula, so the power gap between them was significant. She also admitted that she could have finished the fight effortlessly, but she wanted to test the capabilities of Azula’s body, which was why the fight lasted so long.

"Besides, I intentionally exhausted the energy in this body so I could get more from Didi."

Lea was shocked and angered by what she heard. "What? You did that on purpose?"

Elisa smiled at Lea, touching her own lips as if teasing her. "I know you know that the Emperor gives Azula energy, and I think it’s his responsibility to provide it for me, too."

Lea froze, realizing that Daniel could give energy to Elisa just as he did with her—which implied that Daniel might have to kiss her as well.

"No! I won't allow you to do that!" Lea shouted irritably.

"Oh... really? But why?" Elisa teased.

Lea couldn't accept it, vehemently opposing the plan, especially since she was the Empress and Daniel’s wife.

"Oh... but even if you are the Empress, consorts have rights to the Emperor, too," Elisa replied.

She explained that Azula was a Noble Consort, practically the Emperor's second wife, and therefore had her own claims.

Lea was burning with rage. "I don't care! I won't allow it!"

Elisa ignored her and flew away. "Enough playing around. There are still many problems in the Empire."

"Wait! You can't lecture me on what to do! I am the Empress here, so I am the one who gives orders!" Lea yelled.

"Yes, yes, your Majesty, my Empress or what ever. Now, go and save the people," Elisa replied.

Lea didn't appreciate Elisa’s tone, which made it sound like she was the one being commanded. "I told you, I am the Empress, and I am the one who should be ordering you to help the others!"

"Believe whatever you want. Just make yourself useful to the Empire. I want to rest and eat, so let’s end this," Elisa retorted. "Wait, after this, have your staff prepare some snacks so the food is ready by the time I finish my bath."

"I told you not to order me around!!" Lea screamed.
