Chapter 37 Bad Intention
Kelsey stared in disbelief at Weylin. Her gaze could be interpreted as if she was saying 'You're kidding right?'
Weylin himself was astonished when he said that. He was even taken aback by his words. But of course he couldn't take back what he said, could he? He was a gentleman and it was impossible for him to refute what he had just said.
Since he didn't get any response from Kelsey, Weylin repeated himself more slowly, "Marry me, Kelsey!"
"For Aiden's sake," Weylin added.
Kelsey suddenly woke up after a few seconds of silence, too shocked by Weylin's words that she thought were just his imagination.
However, as soon as Weylin repeated his words, Kelsey began to understand that her hearing was fine.
"Are you really kidding Weylin? I'm not interested in responding to your joke," Kelsey said lazily.
Weylin sighed, "I'm not kidding, Kels. I really want to marry you. I want to give my last name to Aiden. I want to be a father to him.”
To be honest, Kelsey had never if Weylin would say that. She initially thought that Weylin would snatch Aiden or pick a fight with her.
In fact, the man was only asking for his right to be Aiden's father.
“Kels, come on. We don't really have a good relationship but please, this is all for Aiden's sake. We can give him a complete family. He will definitely be happy," Weylin said earnestly.
Again Weylin was surprised by his own words. When did he start to think so highly of others like this? He said it as if he would be willing to do anything for the sake of his son? Why could he be like this?
Kelsey did see the sincerity in those words but she still replied, "I can't marry you. I already have a boyfriend."
Weylin's jaw immediately dropped, "You. You mean the guy who asked you out for lunch? The lawyer?"
"Yes. I will marry him," Kelsey replied, which was actually just a lie.
Gerald had indeed asked her to marry him but he had never given the man the answer, so it was clear when the marriage would take place.
Weylin immediately glared at Kelsey fiercely, "You want to give Aiden a stepfather? You have the heart to do it?"
Kelsey shot back, "So what? Gerald loved Aiden very much. Besides, Aiden is also close to Gerald. Aiden even considers
Gerald like his own father, so where's the problem?"
Hearing Kelsey's words like that made Weylin want to go even more. He really didn't like hearing that.
"He's not related by blood to Aiden," Weylin replied getting annoyed.
"They can still be close even without blood relations," Kelsey replied.
Weylin glared angrily at Kelsey who didn't seem to want to budge, "What do you want?"
"I should be the one asking you. What do you want? You just walked into Aiden's life and now you act as if you have the right to rule everything, including mine. Who do you think you are, huh?" Kelsey said with her hands on her hips.
The woman's gaze was even unfriendly, it was clear in Weylin's eyes that when Kelsey was holding her anger out desperately.
Instantly, Weylin had to think of another way because he couldn't possibly forcing Kelsey at this point. Okay, he would choose to lose now, but he would soon find another way to achieve his wish.
"Okay. Okay. Well, it's up to you if you want to marry someone else. But don't stop me from meeting Aiden. At least, let me do something for him," Weylin said.
Kelsey suddenly suspected, the Weylin she knew couldn't possibly give up so quickly. Kelsey thought hard.
Is it true that Aiden has succeeded in making the heart of the ice cube from the north pole start to melt? thought Kelsey confusedly.
"Please, let me make amends to Aiden. I want to spend a lot of time with him and do what a father does with his son," Weylin added again.
Kelsey closed her eyes for a few seconds, trying to convince herself. Hesitatingly, he combed his hair and started to say,
"You're not going to poison Aiden's mind are you?"
Weylin was of course surprised, "What do you mean by poisoning Aiden's mind?"
"You're not going to make Aiden hate me or reject the idea of me marrying Gerald are you? We're going to be three of us anyway," Kelsey said.
I didn't think of that but it's a very good idea, Thank you, Kelsey Lieven. I will certainly make Aiden dislike your lover, Weylin thought happily.
"Do you think I'm that bad? Wasn't it clear earlier, I just want to be the best father for him. You don't need to be overthinking, Kels," Weylin said, not daring to look at Kelsey.
Kelsey fell silent again but when she saw from the classroom window that Aiden was peeking at them, then she had no other reason to refuse Weylin's request because it was obvious Aiden was already comfortable with Weylin.
"Okay. Please meet with Aiden but don't tell Aiden about your identity first. I'm afraid he'll be surprised," Kelsey said.
Weylin smiled happily. He said, "I will do my best for him."
"Hm. It has to be," Kelsey replied coldly.
Kelsey turned and started walking towards Aiden's classroom but she had to stop when she suddenly heard Weylin say,
"Kels, why did you tell Aiden his father was a dancer?"
Kelsey couldn't answer. There was no way she could say if they had made love before because that would mean he had to admit about himself seeing Weylin's face back then.
"Did you know ...."
"I happen to like a dancer," Kelsey cut in quickly.
Kelsey instantly cursed her stupidity. Of all the reasons why she had to admit that? She bit her lower lip nervously, what if Weylin found out? She was at a loss as to how to explain later.
"You like dancers? What dancers do you mean?" Weylin asked with his heart thumping wildly.
