Chapter 113

Chapter 113

Blake was in his study, the blue light from the screen in front of him reflecting on his face.

He moved his hand away from the mouse and pressed his fingers against his temples.

Why did he always feel so restless?

His phone suddenly rang.

He answered the call, and Lucas's anxious voice came through.

"Mr. Weston, our people said they lost track of the person who was following and protecting Ms. Hayes. Ms. Hayes is very likely in danger now."

Blake's eyes darkened slightly. "I put her in your hands, and this is how you watch her for me?"

Lucas's apologetic voice came through. "Mr. Weston, after we find Ms. Hayes, I'll accept whatever punishment you see fit."

Blake stood up and walked to the window, his voice full of indifference. "Any leads?"

Lucas was silent for a moment. "Currently, we know two groups of people are hunting Ms. Hayes."

The glass in Blake's hand shattered, red wine covering his hand.

"What did you say?"

Lucas started to stutter. "Our people found out that both Ronnie and Wesley have sent people to hunt Ms. Hayes. We've lost track of Ms. Hayes, but we don't know which side has her yet."

A trace of anger appeared in Blake's eyes. "A bunch of useless fools."

Blake hung up and drove himself. The moment he sat in the driver's seat, Lucas had already sent him the location of Debra's villa.

Blake hit the gas pedal, dust flying up from the ground. Soon, he arrived at Debra's villa.

The iron gate of the villa was wide open.

Blake got out and walked in, only to see Debra lying face down on the lawn.

He walked over.

His leather shoes stopped on the grass, and his deep voice spoke. "Where's Ophelia?"

Debra struggled to lift her head, blood from her forehead flowing down.

All the way to the corner of her eye.

"Ophelia, go save Ophelia quickly. She was taken by Ronnie's people."

Blake frowned slightly when he heard Ronnie's name.

Not long after he left, Lucas arrived with a doctor.

Seeing the wounds on Debra's body, even the very experienced doctor couldn't help but gasp. "Miss, hang in there."

Debra looked up and spoke weakly. "Ophelia, go save Ophelia quickly."

Lucas quickly explained. "Don't worry, Mr. Weston has already gone to Ms. Hayes himself."

After hearing this, Debra said, "That's good."

After saying this, she completely passed out.

Blake drove his car, speeding along the mountain road.

His peripheral vision swept past a bus stop, and he suddenly hit the brakes.

He got out and stood by the bus stop, thinking for a moment. Before long, a bus came by.

The driver saw his Rolls-Royce and looked troubled, carefully pulling the bus to the side.

Then he got off. "Sir, could you please move your car?"

When Blake looked up, the driver froze.

The driver instinctively took a step back.

Blake paid him no mind and looked at the bus behind him.

He suddenly spoke. "Have you seen this woman on the road?"

The driver stared at the photo Blake showed him, suddenly looking troubled and hesitant.

The next second, a stack of bills appeared before his eyes.

The driver was about to reach for it, but the money was pulled away. "Sir, I did see that woman, and she even got on my bus. But later she got off with a man."

Blake looked at him, scrutinizing. "You remember that clearly?"

The driver looked at the money, drool unconsciously forming at the corner of his mouth.

"Of course. I remember very clearly. When she ran on, she was panicking, like someone was following her. But later, it seemed like the woman threw something out the window. The man wasn't happy, and before long they got off together."

The more the driver spoke, the more he felt a chill down his back, and his voice got quieter.

After the driver finished, Blake was silent for a moment, and asked, "You said she left with that man?"

The driver nodded. "That's right, I saw it with my own eyes."

Blake turned and walked away. The driver looked confused, seeing the very eye-catching Rolls-Royce nearby, he couldn't help but mutter. "At least move your car. Your car is blocking my bus, and I can't get through."

Blake strode away, his eyes searching all around.

He keenly noticed that the driver said Ophelia had opened the window and thrown something out.

It must be a clue Ophelia left for him.

He heard footsteps behind him.

"Sir, please move your car."

Blake turned around, and from the corner of his eye, he saw the driver standing on a crumpled piece of paper.

He strode over and pushed the driver aside. "Move."

The driver was so scared he sat down on the ground with his legs spread, but Blake picked up a crumpled piece of paper from where he had just been standing.

"That's not good. Out here in the middle of nowhere, who knows what that paper is for." The driver tried to stop him, but Blake's look scared him into silence.

At the same time, another car appeared nearby.

Lucas hurried out of the car and came to Blake's side.

Seeing the crumpled paper in his hand, he was slightly stunned.

Though the paper was crumpled, traces of blood showed through, and when unfolded, some writing could be seen.

Lucas looked at Blake in surprise, but saw his brow was tightly furrowed. "Mr. Weston."

Blake gripped the paper tightly and looked up at the mountain road. "Find them for me. Even if you have to turn this mountain upside down, find them. If Ophelia is hurt, I'll make them pay back ten times, a hundred times over."

"Yes, Mr. Weston."

Ophelia was held at gunpoint by the man. After getting out of the car, they waited by the road for another vehicle.

The moment that car came, the man blindfolded Ophelia.

So Ophelia couldn't see anything.

"Stay still, don't try anything funny."

Ophelia stumbled forward and was pushed hard.

She fell into a corner.

Then, a harsh light penetrated through the cloth over her eyes.

At the same time, a familiar voice spoke, "Ophelia, are you okay? I'm sorry to invite you here this way, but your progress has been really slow."

The moment Ophelia heard this voice, she knew who it was, and immediately laughed coldly.

She let out a cold laugh. "Ronnie, are you really that impatient?"

Someone beside Ronnie immediately pointed at Ophelia. "How dare you speak like that!"

Ronnie smiled and had someone remove the cloth from Ophelia's eyes. After Ophelia adjusted to the light, she immediately looked around.

Ronnie was amused by her actions. "Ophelia, don't waste your energy. There's no way Blake can find this place."

Ophelia's eyes met Ronnie's with a dark look, but in an instant, her expression changed. "Why would I want him to come? If Blake finds out about our relationship, how am I supposed to continue my mission?"
