Chapter 307: Who Reimburses the Room Fee?
Chapter 307: Who Reimburses the Room Fee?
At this moment, Aaron came up to Harrison and said softly, "Elena's inside. I kept an eye on her last night - she never left."
Hearing Aaron's report, Harrison chuckled lightly.
He figured that when he was dealing with Gloria earlier, Elena must have been eavesdropping the whole time.
She'd watched for so long and still hadn't come out - she really could hold it in.
He raised his eyebrows and called out toward Elena's room, "Elena, the show's over. Are you planning to come out or not?"
Hearing Harrison call her out, Elena looked at Charlotte helplessly and said, "He knows I'm here. I have to go face him."
Elena had the expression of someone facing the music.
Charlotte couldn't help but smile. She opened the door and walked out into the hallway with Elena.
Last night, when Elena had come storming over to catch him cheating, she'd been full of confidence, banging on the door like some kind of female bandit, all fierce and aggressive.
But looking at her now, standing in front of Harrison, she was like a child who'd done something wrong, her head hung low.
Harrison had originally wanted to scold her a bit, to complain that she didn't trust him, but when he saw Elena's expression, all his anger vanished in that moment.
Last night, after they'd made love, wouldn't it have been nice to just hold her and have a good sleep? Why did she have to run to a hotel and put on this whole catching-him-cheating drama?
Charlotte also came up to Harrison. She glanced at him and greeted him somewhat awkwardly, "Mr. Frost, hello."
Facing Charlotte, Harrison didn't blame her either. He said nothing, just reached out and pulled Elena into his arms.
He asked gently, "Elena, do you really not trust me that much? Thinking I was cheating and running out in the middle of the night - what were you thinking?"
Faced with Harrison's reproach, Elena couldn't argue back.
She scratched her head, still keeping her face lowered.
Seeing her like this, Harrison reached out and affectionately patted the top of Elena's head.
This gesture was totally being all lovey-dovey in front of everyone.
Charlotte was so envious. If Nathan could treat her like this, she'd probably give up all those male escorts she'd been thinking about and marry Nathan already.
At this moment, Charlotte looked at Harrison with admiration in her eyes. She really wanted to say - Harrison is so gentle.
After finishing their display of affection, Harrison left with Elena.
Charlotte immediately followed them. Thinking about how she'd paid for that hotel room last night, she was kicking herself.
Elena came to catch him cheating, Harrison came to show off their love, and she, the one who just wanted to watch the drama, had to pay for the room?
No way.
She had to get that money back from Harrison.
With this thought, Charlotte quickened her pace and caught up with Harrison and Elena.
She said, "Mr. Frost, Elena, which one of you is going to reimburse me for the hotel room I booked last night?"
Harrison turned back and gave her a cold look, saying, "Reimburse yourself."
Seeing Harrison being so stingy, Charlotte was quite unhappy.
She argued back at Harrison, "Mr. Frost, if you're going to say that, that's not quite right. Last night's situation was actually..."
Harrison left with Elena, and he didn't hear a single word of Charlotte's protests.
Meanwhile, at home, Connor, Mia, and Lily learned from Charlotte about Elena's impulsive attempt to catch Harrison cheating last night.
The three children gathered together, chattering away.
"Connor, Dad's totally devoted. I thought when faced with Gloria's seduction, he would definitely hesitate and be tempted, but I didn't expect him to refuse so decisively."
Mia lifted her face proudly, looking like she understood Harrison very well.
Lily smiled. She raised her eyebrows at Mia and said, "You guys just don't trust Dad enough. I've lived with Dad the longest; I understand him best. He's that kind of perfect man."
"See, I told you he couldn't possibly cheat."
Lily was defending what she'd said yesterday.
Connor had been holding his laptop the whole time. After quickly entering a series of numbers, in no time at all, the information he wanted to find appeared on the laptop screen.
He let out a long sigh of relief.
Seeing him like this, Mia and Lily couldn't help but ask, "Connor, what's wrong?"
Connor pointed at several plane tickets on the computer screen and said, "You know what, Dad handled this well. To completely stop Gloria from bothering him and Mom's life, he actually had someone send Gloria back home."
"This afternoon's flight - not a minute of extra delay."
"Dad and Mom have been through life and death together; their relationship is really admirable."
Connor rarely praised Harrison, and he even gave a thumbs-up to show his respect for Harrison.
At this moment, in the hospital, a somewhat bored Charlotte was sitting in Nathan's office.
Nathan was handling his work, while Charlotte was half-lying on his sofa, changing positions and sighing from time to time.
Her behavior naturally caught Nathan's attention. When he could steal a moment from his busy work, Nathan would look over at Charlotte.
When he saw Charlotte's anxious appearance, a smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
He simply put down the documents in his hand and looked at Charlotte seriously.
He asked, "Charlotte, you seem to be in a bad mood today. What's going on?"
Hearing Nathan's question, Charlotte quickly stood up. She came to Nathan's desk, sat on it, and looked at Nathan's face.
She said wistfully, "Nathan, Elena is getting married."
When Charlotte said this, she seemed somewhat dejected. Nathan raised his eyebrows and asked Charlotte, "Elena's getting married - are you unhappy about it?"
Nathan didn't think Charlotte had any reason to be unhappy about Elena getting married.
After all, they were good friends who had supported each other for many years. Their relationship was exceptionally solid.
Faced with Nathan's clueless question, Charlotte was a bit annoyed. She reached out and punched Nathan's chest a few times.
"Nathan, you're too much!"
