Chapter 47
Chapter 47
As we drove home, Xavier's hand wrapped around mine, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. The tension and anger from earlier began to fade away, replaced by a warm and fuzzy feeling.
"When we get home, I have some documents for you to sign," Xavier said, his voice gentle.
My heart skipped a beat as I turned to him, my eyes wide with excitement. "What kind of documents?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Xavier smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I've granted your request babe. I'm handing over some of my houses to you," he said, his voice low and husky.
I felt a surge of happiness, my heart racing with excitement. I knew exactly what he was talking about. We had discussed this before, and I had been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever.
"Oh my god, really?" I squealed, my voice high-pitched and excited.
Xavier chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Really," he said, his voice firm.
I bounced up and down in my seat, my hands clapping together in excitement. "Yes, yes, yes!" I exclaimed, my voice echoing through the car.
Xavier laughed, his eyes shining with happiness. "I take it that's a yes?" he asked, his voice teasing.
I nodded eagerly, my heart racing with excitement. "A million times yes!" I exclaimed, my voice barely above a whisper.
As we pulled into the driveway, I could hardly contain my excitement. I knew that these documents would change everything, would help us get rid of Marco.
And I couldn't wait to sign them.
I bounced out of the car, my heart racing with excitement. Xavier chuckled and followed me, his eyes shining with amusement.
As we walked into the house, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. I knew that these documents would be the key to my freedom, to finally being able to live my life on my own terms.
And then I remembered Marco. I would finally be able to hand the documents over to him, and he would leave Xavier and me alone. We would be free to live our lives as we wanted, without his constant interference.
A smile spread across my face as I thought about it. I couldn't wait to see the look on Marco's face when I handed him the documents. He would finally realize that I was serious, that I wouldn't be pushed around anymore.
I felt a sense of empowerment wash over me, and I knew that nothing could ever hold me back again. I was free, and I would never let anyone take that away from me again.
As we walked into the house, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. I had been waiting for this moment for what felt like forever, and I couldn't wait any longer.
"Xavier, can we please go to our room now?" I asked, my voice eager and impatient.
Xavier raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "What's the hurry, babe?" he asked, his voice teasing.
I took a deep breath, my heart racing with excitement. "I want to sign the contract," I said, my voice firm. "I want to make this official."
Xavier's smile grew wider, and he nodded. "Okay, let's go," he said, his voice low and husky.
I practically dragged him to our room, my heart racing with excitement. As soon as we were inside, I locked the door and turned to him.
"Here," I said, holding out the contract. "Sign it."
Xavier chuckled and took the contract from me. "Honey, you're so eager," he said, his voice teasing.
I nodded, my heart racing with excitement. "I am," I said, my voice firm. "I want this, Xavier. I want this for us."
Xavier's eyes locked onto mine, and he smiled. "I want it for you too, babe," he said, his voice low and husky. "Let's do this."
And with that, he signed the contract, and I felt a sense of joy and relief wash over me. It was official, and nothing could ever come between us again.
I walked into Marco's room, the document clutched in my hand. I was feeling triumphant, thinking that I had finally found a way to escape his grasp.
"Marco, I have something to show you," I said, my voice firm.
He looked up from his desk, a sneer on his face. "What is it, Lilith?"
I held out the document. "I've signed the papers, Marco. I'll be signing them over to you tomorrow."
Marco's expression changed from sneering to shocked. He jumped up from his desk and strode over to me.
"Really? My girl is so hardworking." he spat, his eyes blazing with anger. "This is so nice. Let me see the papers."
I stood my ground, handing over the papers to him. He scanned it and scoffed.
"I'm doing this for Xavier and nothing else."
Marco scoffed, his face twisted in disgust. "You're doing what's best for Xavier?" he repeated, his voice rising. "Or you're doing this for yourself. What do you expect me to do with these documents? Do you think these houses can seal my mouth? "
Suddenly, he slammed me against the wall, his hand gripping my throat. I gasped, trying to breathe.
"Are you playing with me, Lilith?" he hissed, his eyes blazing with fury. "Or is it because I've become lenient?"
I tried to struggle, but Marco's grip was too strong. I was trapped, and I knew it.
Marco's grip on my throat tightened, his eyes blazing with anger. "What do you think you're doing, Lilith?" he spat. "You think you can just sign away these houses and escape me? I have houses under my name too Lilith. I want the company and shares Lilith."
I tried to speak, but his grip was too tight. I managed to croak out a few words. "I...I'm just trying to start little by little, Marco."
He sneered. "Start over? With what? Those useless properties? You think those are worth anything?"
I shook my head, trying to think of a way to explain. "I...I need to start small, Marco. So I don't raise suspicion."
Marco's expression changed from anger to confusion. "Suspicion? What are you talking about?"
I took a deep breath, trying to think of a way to explain. "I need to start with small properties, Marco. So no one suspects that I'm trying to escape you."
Marco's face lit up with understanding. "Ah, I see. You want to play it smart, huh? Well, I've got news for you, Lilith. I don't want those small properties. I want the big houses, the companies. That's what I want."
I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized what Marco was after. He didn't just want to control me, he wanted to control Xavier's wealth and power too.
"I...I can't give you that, Marco," I stammered. "I need to start small, so Xavier wouldn't suspect."
Marco released his grip on my throat and grabbed my waist. His grip tightened again. "You'll do what I say, Lilith. Or else."
Just as Marco's grip on my waist was starting to feel like it was going squeeze the life out of me, a maid burst into the room holding a tray. Her eyes widened in shock as she took in the scene before her - Marco's hand wrapped tightly around my waist, my face red and close to Marco's face.
"Oh, I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, clearly thinking she had walked in on something she shouldn't have.
Marco quickly released his grip on me, and I gasped for air, my hand flying to my throat. The maid quickly backed out of the room, her eyes fixed on us in a mixture of shock and embarrassment.
"Wait, no, it's not what you think!" I called out after her, but she was already gone, the door closing behind her.
I turned back to Marco, my heart racing with anger and fear. "That was close," I spat at him, my voice shaking with rage. "You're going to pay for this, Marco."
With a surge of adrenaline, I forced myself out of his grip and made a run for the door. I stopped by the doorstep so he wouldn't be able to grab me again.
Marco's voice was like a cold slap in the face, making my blood run cold. "You have three days, Lilith. Sign over Xavier's properties to me, or else."
My mind raced with fear and frustration. How could he do this to me? Didn't he care that I was trying to escape him?
"Or else what?" I spat, trying to sound braver than I felt.
Marco's smile was like a snake's hiss. "Or else I'll ruin them. I'll make sure Xavier loses everything. And I'll make sure you lose him too."
My heart raced with terror. I couldn't let that happen. I couldn't lose Xavier. But how could I stop Marco? He had all the power.
I felt like I was trapped in a nightmare, with no way out. Fear and frustration swirled inside me, making my stomach churn. I wanted to scream and cry and fight, but I knew I had to stay calm. I had to think of a way to stop Marco.
But for now, I was trapped. Trapped in this hellhole of Marco's making. And I didn't know how to escape.
The emotions swirling inside me were suffocating me. Fear, frustration, anger, and helplessness all mixed together in a toxic brew. I felt like I was drowning in them, unable to breathe.
I knew I had to find a way to calm down, to think clearly. But how could I when Marco's threats were ringing in my ears? When the thought of losing Xavier was like a knife twisting in my heart?
I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. I had to think. I had to come up with a plan. I couldn't let Marco win. I couldn't lose Xavier.
Marco's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with triumph. He pointed to the door, his finger beckoning me to leave.
"No get out, Lilith, I'm done with you." he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "You have three days. Don't waste them."
I felt a surge of anger and humiliation, but I knew I had to keep my cool. I couldn't let Marco see how much he was getting to me.
I turned to leave, my head held high, but my heart racing with fear and anxiety. As I reached the door, I heard Marco's parting shot.
"Don't think about trying to escape, Lilith. I'll be watching you."
I shuddered at the menace in his voice, but I didn't look back. I kept walking, my eyes fixed on the door, my heart fixed on finding a way to outsmart Marco and save Xavier.
As I closed the door behind me, I felt a sense of determination wash over me. I was not going to let Marco win. I was going to fight back, no matter what it took.
As I left Marco's room, I saw the maid who had barged in earlier standing in the hallway, chatting with another maid. They were both giggling and glancing at me, and I could tell they were talking about me.
I felt a surge of embarrassment and anxiety, and I quickly considered going over to them to clear the air. I didn't want them to think I was involved in anything shady or inappropriate with Marco.
But as I approached them, I hesitated. What if they didn't believe me? What if they thought I was just trying to cover my tracks?
I changed my mind and decided to leave them alone. I didn't need to justify myself to anyone, especially not the maids. I had more important things to worry about, like figuring out how to stop Marco and save Xavier.
I quickened my pace and walked away, leaving the maids and their gossip behind me. I had to focus on my plan and stay one step ahead of Marco. That's all that mattered.
