Chapter 432 Want to Tell Her Personally

Chapter 432 Want to Tell Her Personally

So, when Amelia said Elijah had kidnapped Magnus, Benjamin didn't believe it.

It's just... he couldn't explain why no one could find Magnus.

Sophia's eyes rolled around, and she spoke slowly:

"I don't know Magnus, but I believe a person can't just disappear for no reason."

"You're right." Benjamin nodded and decided not to think about it for now.

As for letting Isabella go, that was absolutely impossible.

Isabella dared to go after Sophia, so she should pay the price.

And last night before bed, he deliberately spread the word.

Anyone who stayed on good terms with the Stewart Group was making an enemy of the White Group.

The Stewart Group's business partners pulled out one after another, terminating their partnerships with the Stewart Group.

The Stewart Group wouldn't last much longer.

Plus, the Knight Group issued a statement first thing in the morning, deciding to cancel the arranged marriage and throwing some serious shade at Zander.

Now everyone knew Zander was a backstabbing traitor.

Before long, he'd be completely ruined.

Without Zander, Isabella would never have another chance to make a comeback.

And since Isabella failed her mission, Elijah would probably treat her as a discarded pawn too.

He specifically ordered that Isabella be locked up in the same prison as Olivia.

When that happened, there should be quite a show.

Benjamin was never a soft-hearted person. He just didn't bother using dirty tactics on people.

If someone deliberately provoked him, he definitely wouldn't back down.

Seeing Benjamin frowning the whole time, looking so worried, Sophia felt terrible for him.

She moved closer and gently smoothed out his furrowed brow with her cool fingertips.

"Don't think about it for now. Clifton will come to the house tonight to treat you."

"Okay." Benjamin pulled Sophia into his arms and lowered his head to kiss her slender, pale hand.

During dinner, Clifton rushed over.

Benjamin told Sophia to keep eating and took him upstairs.

This time they went to the master bedroom.

Clifton said his guard was too high, so it had to be in a place familiar enough.

Benjamin lay flat on the bed as instructed, resting his head on Sophia's pillow.

Her pillow had a faint fragrance that could make Benjamin lower his guard.

Once everything was ready, Clifton began the hypnotherapy treatment.

Benjamin's recovery speed was fast, and his willpower was strong.

In all his years of practice, he'd treated hundreds, if not thousands, of patients.

But Benjamin had the strongest willpower of them all.

He couldn't help but feel curious about just how skilled the person who hypnotized and altered Benjamin's memories must be.

He was already at the top of his field in this area.

He never expected there'd be someone even better than him.

He couldn't wait to meet this person, but he knew it was just a thought.

After all, anyone who would do something that violated professional ethics was definitely not a good person.

The hypnosis session lasted a full three hours.

When Benjamin woke up, Clifton shared his theory.

"Benjamin, do you remember when I said you were the most guarded person I'd ever met?"

Benjamin had just woken from hypnosis, his mind still a bit foggy.

He sat on the edge of the bed, rubbing his temples.

Hearing this, he lifted his eyelids slightly. "What are you getting at?"

Clifton didn't beat around the bush and got straight to the point: "I've been thinking about this problem, and to hypnotize someone to this degree, there are only two possibilities."

Benjamin asked, "Which two?"

"First, the other person's ability is higher than mine, but I haven't met anyone like that yet."

"And the second?"

"The second..."

Clifton hesitated for a moment, then said quietly, "Is that the person knows you extremely well, knows everything about you."

Benjamin's eyelid twitched hard, and Valentin's face unexpectedly flashed through his mind.

Someone who knew him well enough and could make him lower his guard...

There really weren't many people like that.

In previous years, because of the poison, he treated everyone with a cold attitude.

Even his family.

The only exception was Sophia.

So, did that narrow down the range of suspects even more?

But to actually suspect his own family... he couldn't bring himself to do it.

Benjamin sighed heavily in his heart and said to Clifton, "Thanks for the reminder. I understand."

Clifton also knew when to stop and picked up his medical kit, preparing to leave.

Benjamin followed behind him, explaining his recovery progress this time.

He had basically remembered everything about meeting Sophia and even after their marriage.

During those few hours, he had watched these memories like a slideshow, from an observer's perspective.

The first time he saw Sophia, their first kiss, the first time he had sex with Sophia.

He remembered it all.

Only some perhaps less important memories hadn't come back yet.

But memories unrelated to Sophia were all considered unimportant parts to him.

So even if they couldn't be recovered, it didn't matter.

Hearing this, Clifton's face lit up with joy.

"Really? Looks like all our efforts during this time haven't been in vain! I need to hurry and tell Sophia."

With that, he was about to quicken his pace toward the stairs.

"Wait." Benjamin called out to stop him.

Clifton turned back, confused.

Benjamin's expression softened, and he said quietly, "I want to tell her myself."

Clifton immediately showed an understanding look. "I get it. You young people always do these surprise, romantic things. I won't interfere."

Clifton chatted with Benjamin as they walked downstairs.

Halfway down, Benjamin keenly sensed that someone else had come to the house.

His gaze swept toward the living room, and he saw Lachlan sitting on the sofa talking with Sophia.

Hearing footsteps from the stairs, Lachlan paused while drinking water and instinctively turned around.

"Benjamin."

"Lachlan, you're back?" Benjamin walked up to Lachlan and greeted him.

Lachlan had been away on a business trip recently and hadn't even made it to Tobias's party.

He didn't expect Lachlan to return today.

Lachlan showed a gentle smile, then shifted his gaze to Clifton behind him.

"Who's this?"

"I..."

Just as Clifton was about to introduce himself, Benjamin suddenly interrupted, "This is a doctor Alaric recommended to help me with my health."

Hearing this, Lachlan immediately looked concerned. "You're sick? What happened?"

Benjamin waved his hand with a smile, explaining, "Just frequent dizziness, nothing serious. Probably a side effect of the memory loss."

Clifton's eyes widened in disbelief.

He never expected Benjamin to lie without even blinking.

When had he ever helped him with his health?

Besides, for something like health maintenance, wasn't having Sophia enough?

However, he knew what he should and shouldn't say.

And he was smart enough not to ask questions.

"So this is Mr. Lachlan White? I've heard so much about you."

"Hello, thank you for helping Benjamin with his health."

Lachlan politely shook hands with Clifton.
