Chapter 49 049
Chapter 49 049
The wealthy young man was, it turned out, already married for a long time. His wife came out to disclose this information, sharing numerous private pictures of her husband and Winnie kissing and cuddling during dinner.
His wife intended to get her into trouble and make her leave the entertainment business. She hired a gang of ghostwriters on the Internet to make remarks meant to curse Winnie.
Winnie maintained a low profile for a while after this occurrence. At last, Winnie replied, "Of course she would be sad, but I think she would prefer knowing the truth than to be sad."
Stella responded, "Understood, I will find a suitable time to tell her."
Afterwards Stella set her phone aside and entered the restroom. She kept herself awake by patting her face. In three days, she needed to sketch out the design. She could not afford to waste any more time.
Stella delivered Justin her first draft of the design in just two and a half days, giving her another half day for editing. Who knew that as soon as he sent him the design, Justin would respond right away, saying, "This design is good enough, thanks for your hard work." I'll get someone to process the jewelry in line with this blueprint."
Stella responded, "Okay, then I will send you the drawing of the end-product."
She got a second message from Justin after sending him the photo. "If I want to invite you to my mother's birthday party, you won't come right?"
Stella declared, "I'm not attending the birthday celebration. I hope Ms. Conrad has a wonderful birthday.”

Stella reported to Stanford on the status of her task the following day when she showed up at the SG Jewelry Magazine office. Sherry took her aside as soon as she arrived at the office and asked, "Stella, are you free tonight?"
"Yes, what's wrong?"
"Liam's return was quite some time ago. He said that because he was free, he wanted to throw a party and invite some friends over to enjoy themselves. I didn't call you since the last time I saw you, you were busy. Come hang out with us tonight if you're free." She said, "This time he invited many friends who I don't know, so it's good that you come and accompany me."
Stella found it difficult to turn down Sherry's invitation after seeing her dejected expression. She also wanted to use tonight as an opportunity to discuss things. After some time, Stella gave a soft nod, "All right. I'll accompany you there."
“ That's terrific..” Sherry said, grinning again and giving Stella a hug. “Hurry and find Mr. Leif. First, I have to go shoot."
There was a woman sitting in Stanford's office when she got there.
"Sharon, you're just in time," Stanford said. “Allow me to present Modesty Parker to you. She recently signed on as SG Jewelry Magazine's designer."
Modesty rose up, grinned, and held out her hand to Stella before waiting for Stanford to finish introducing her. "Hello Sharon, I've heard a lot about you," she said.
Stella was acquainted with her. She was the first Young Designers' Contest runner-up three years prior, and the person who took her place to study in Paris afterwards. Stella held out her hand and said, "Hello."
Following his introduction, Stanford stated, "Sharon, you will continue to be in charge of the 'Puppy Love' Series and the custom-made jewellery, while Modesty will be in charge of the latest series..."
"Mr. Leif. I have a suggestion."
Stanford halted and said, "Go ahead."
Grinning at Stella, Modesty replied, "I hope I can also be in charge of the custom-made jewellery. Please don't misinterpret, Sharon. I'm not attempting to take your position. Simply put, I was frequently in charge of the upscale personalized jewelry when I was overseas. I ought to pay closer attention to the fashion preferences of those wealthy women."
"Um..." She said, "When the time comes, we can each come up with a design, and whoever is chosen will do the job."
Stella said with a sly smirk, "Yes."
Stanford said nothing more after realizing Stella had already consented: "So that's it for the time being. If there's anything about the task, I'll get in touch with you all."
Stanford failed to disclose to them that Stella was the one who was requested to customize jewelry by every SG Jewelry Magazine reader. Modesty stopped Stella as she was leaving the workplace and said, "In the future, we are competitors as well as colleagues. I'm not going to treat my rivals well."
Stella paused, pivoted, and said, "I won't either."
"Then let's see who is more talented."
Stella walked to the studio to wait for Sherry after leaving the SG Jewelry Magazine office. Sherry stopped by to talk during her shoot, saying, "It seems like SG Jewelry Magazine signed a new designer who is rumored to have returned from Paris. She is well-known in the industry and has taken part in multiple fashion shows. She is also really conceited. In the future, you ought to stay away from her.”
"I have already met her," Stella remarked.
"What When?"
"When I was in the office of Mr. Leif."
Sherry seemed to be asking Stella a lot of questions. The artist had just completed getting dressed and left when she turned to ask Stella what had transpired in Stanford's office.
Sherry was invited by the artist to conduct the photo session. "I nearly finished the shooting," Sherry said. “Please give me a moment."
Stella said with a nod, "Go ahead."
Not too long afterward, Stella's phone rang with a message.
{Ms. Radomil, Mr. Conrad asks if you've finished your job yet.}
She received an SMS from Nathan. Stella couldn't say anything. She pondered whether the miserable man had put in the security camera on her. When she was free, that's when he knew how to push her.
Feeling displeased, Stella shot back, "No, you tell him that I am very busy and not free."
Nathan soon followed up with, "Mr. Clarence asked how busy you are."
"So busy that I didn't have time to eat anything for two days and didn't wash my hair for a week," Stella clinched her teeth.
"Mr. Conrad said you are working very hard," Nathan texted her once again. “Continue as you are."
Stella firmly set her phone down and inhaled deeply twice to help her feel better. She wouldn't have owed him 10 million dollars if the awful man hadn't set her up, and now he was expecting her to continue.
Fuck it. Anyways. Liam reserved a table at a fancy restaurant, and the patrons were all extremely well off. Nearly every visitor had arrived by the time
Sherry and Stella arrived. As soon as Liam noticed them, he approached them and said, "Sherry, you two are finally here."
Liam had been wandering around the private area. He turned to Stella at that point and said, "I'm sorry about last time." I'm too busy at work to take the time I would have liked to treat you to dinner."
Just after he was done speaking, a woman approached Stella and inquired, "Liam, is this your girlfriend? She is so lovely."
"No, my girlfriend is the one next to her," Liam said with a hint of embarrassment.
"Ah, you always saying your girlfriend is attractive. I believed that to be the one." Once her comments were complete, she poked her tongue out at Stella. "I'm really sorry."
With a serene expression, Stella murmured, "Never mind, Ms. Young."
"No need to be so polite," Jolie grinned. Liam and I work together. Call me Jolie, please."
