Chapter 107

Chapter 107

Isadora pov.

I was busy in the gym area doing the baby penguin style on my yoga mat when a loud knock came on the door. I turned around and saw daddy standing by the door before finally stepping in, “How are you honey?”I stretched out and got up, panting softly, “Hi daddy, I’m okay, how are you?” Daddy was in an an exercising fit which meant he either came to work out too or join me, “What are you doing here? I thought you would be at the office by now?”

Daddy approached me slowly, “Honey, did you forget I’m the boss? I can go into the office whenever I want and still leave wherever I want too okay.” Daddy scoffed as he pressed in some of the buttons on the treadmill and then he got on it and began jogging slowly, swooping his arms in opposite directions.

“Oh right, that’s true.” I chuckled and went down on my yoga mat once more, “Err have you seen Oliver all day?”

“No, I haven’t seen him, he’s probably out somewhere, I don’t really know where he is, although I’m actually glad I caught you here,”I turned to daddy, it seemed like he had something to say to me, “Is everything okay?”

“Yeah, everything is fine, you have a dress fitting today.”

“Dress fitting?!—“

“The wedding dress Isadora, you’re gonna make a selection…”

“Daddy, I don’t think I’ll be able to make it, I … I have so much work to do at the office and I didn’t plan any of that, none of it is in my schedule so I don’t think I’ll be able to squeeze it in.”

“Isadora, you didn’t even let me finish speaking yet and here you are dishing out excuses.” Daddy chuckled softly.

“Those aren’t excuses dadddy, I’m just saying, I really wished I was informed about this earlier on, you know?”

“Your fiance was aware of this before I told you, I’m just a little bit surprised that he didn’t mention it to you, I wonder where he is.”

“Daddy, can we please reschedule?”

“No honey, I’m sorry we cannot reschedule, the wedding planners set up an appointment for you at the dress shop so you have to meet you with it.”

“Daddy you’re the one who’s always telling me to never skip work and always be present at the company at all times when I’m supposed to—”

“Honey,” he interrupted, “I know that’s what I usually tell you, but this time around, I’m telling you to go on with this.”

Daddy increased his pace on the treadmill, while stealing glances at me, he asked, “I really thought this is something you would be super excited to do as a bride.”

“Yeah… daddy I am, I just … “

“I mean it’s your wedding Isadora, I mean you’re a girl — women, I mean women get really excited about things like this, Oliver told me how dress shopping went, I mean the celebration party.”

“It was good daddy.”

“Honey, he said you didn’t seem too excited at all.”

“I was just distracted that day, that’s all it’s nothing serious.”

“That’s alright, honey. I completely understand. Just brighten up your mood okay.”

“Yeah sure.” I got off my yoga mat and rolled it up. “I need to go get dressed up I guess.” I said to daddy and rushed out.

“Isadora?!” Daddy called out to me but just at the door frame, I stopped and turned to him, “I got an invitation from Charles Montclair for his official ceo celebration party.” Daddy said in a soft tone.

Hearing his words, I immediately felt some kind of cold sensation run through me, “Wait what?”

“He was awarded the —”

“Daddy, why did he invite you?” “I have no idea honey.” I shook my head, agitated. I mean the day literally just started and it was already ruined for me. I stormed towards my bedroom and kept all that there before heading out of the room.

Oh my goodness what was going on and where the fuck was Oliver?! I couldn’t believe things had fast forwarded to the part where I had to pick a wedding dress. I was seriously trying to stall the whole thing, I wasn’t even sure if I was doing the right thing.

Before I hopped into the shower, I ran down to the kitchen to ask any of the maids if they had seen Oliver anywhere, but for some reason nobody knew where he was.

“Oh my goodness.” I grumbled in frustration as I stormed out of the front door, there I saw a car pull up. I curled my brows in confusion as the car door flew open, I was wondering who that was because that car looked different.

“Oliver?!” I saw him step out of the car, fully clothed in a suit and he had a bouquet of flowers in his grip, “Where have you fricken been?!” I yelled at him.

He had a smirk on his face and he grabbed my waist and handed the flowers to me, “Oliver, to be completely honest with you, I’m not in the mood for any of this, where have you been—“

“How about you sniff the flowers first?”He shot me a smirk.I gently took a whiff of the flowers and truthfully they smelled really nice but I wasn’t about to tell him that considering how pissed I was at him.

“What did you tell daddy?!” I asked but he turned around and headed into the car and picked out a couple more stuff, “I got these for you,” he handed some shopping bags to me with a wide smile on his face, “I got you some gifts for you.”

“Wrong timing Oliver!”the smile on his face disappeared, “What do you mean?”

“Daddy got an invitation to Charles’ party.”

“What?!” Immediately a frown appeared on his face.
