Sofia's POV

Marie was finding It hard to even relate with anyone at the office again.

She kept holding malice with everyone including Annie her bestfriend.

"Do you really have to beg you to talk to me!?"It Annie asked in frustration one day at the office.

"I said I want to be alone for some time." Marie stated and walked out.

It was Monday morning, I and Alexander had already prepared to go to work.

We had breakfast together, tied and helped each other to finish pending works.

Well, I was fast at finishing up some unsigned files that needed Alexander's signature so I helped him do it while he attended to others and had a webinar.

"Honey, I really didn't know you'd be this fast." Alexander stated as he sprayed wet kisses on my body.

"If you continue this, then we wouldn't go to work today." I chuckled.

"I don't care then, we could stay home all day. " He replied.

" Stay home all day doing what? " I asked.

Whoops!

I didn't know when that came out of my mouth. It was out of the blues.

" We haven't consummated this marriage yet.... " He said and trailed off.

" I'm not in a haste, we are barley one year you know. " I replied ad he nodded his head in affirmation.

We finished up as soon as possible. "I'd be driving us today."

"Why, you didn't catch enough sleep last night." I bantered.

"Don't worry, I can still drive." He assured and started driving out if the compound.

On getting to the main get, Alexander punched the car horn do the gate keeper could open the gate but the gate keeper wasn't firth coming.

The securities weren't there either.

"Where are those fools!?" Alexander yelled. He was obviously angry.

"Sofia!!" I heard a voice— Actually a familiar voice which sounded like my mom's own call out.

"Why the heck is she doing here!?" The moment I realized she's the one, anger flushed through my veins.

She was making a scene outside with the securities, no wonder they didn't open the gate fast. My mom Maggie is a dram queen and I hate her drama's.

"What in earth are you doing here." I jumped down from the car, Alexander tried stopping me but I was faster than him.

" Sofia my baby....." She said in pretense.

" Don't you dare call me that you—" I held my self back in order not to use fowl words on her, after all she's till my mother.

"Who is this person troubling you?" Alexander asked but before I could reply, she already did.

"I'm her mother my son..." She stayed and tried touching Alexander's suits but I slapped her hands away instantly making Alexander stare at me in shock.

Call me protective or whatever but I know who my mom is.

She looks very young and virile like she doesn't have kids. She could even pass for a lady who's in her early twenties. Well, that's where I got the gene and beauty from, many don't believe I'm 24 years old as some say I'm 16 or 18.

"She's not my mom." I retorted. "Gosh....what are you doing here? You're getting I and my husband late for work." I panted in frustration.

Alexander patted my back to sooth me.

" You'd be late for work, go now I'd be fine." I said with concern.

" Have you forgotten? I'm the CEO and I can go at anytime I want." He replied.

Even a small kid knows that Alexander's company is his greatest priority.

" Please Sofia, forgive mummy." Maggie, certainly not my mom said and started shedding crocodile tears.

" This tears won't change the fact that I would want to forgive you or anything close to that." I retorted.

"Honey, just forgive her please." Alexander started pleading on her behalf.

"Do you know what thus woman who called herself my mother had done? She left us and followed a rich man, so now I guess her oh–so–rich man Is broke." I shouted.

" To err is human and i forgive is divine." Alexander reminded while I puffed my cheeks and rolled my eyes. That made him to laugh.

Oh damn!

I just looked at my mom to realize the unholy trash she's wearing.

" Don't tell you wore this nonsense around!?" I shouted.

" What's wrong with my dressing?" She's asked and she was fucking directing the question at Alexander.

"Ma'am, if you want to earn your daughter's forgiveness I think you need to respect yourself and beware of boundaries." He stated harshly and my mom looked at him before gulping down the lump that appeared in her throat.

" Sofia, please forgive me. Give me one last chance my love. I'd change from today henceforth." My mom begged.

Lies!

She Is good at lying

I'm sure she left her husband because she knows I got married to a rich man!

This world is something else, when Alexander wasn't treating me well no one came around but now we started living fine, temptations here and there.

You can't hold much grudge against her okay? Just forgive her and let go off the past." Alexander coax.

The tears I've been holding up for some moments now rolled down.

This woman made me go through hell but I don't want to involve all the mistreatment I got from Alexander because she caused it.

" It's not so easy to let go and even if I do, Devon would never forgive her." I sobbed silently.

She hugged me and just like that, I forgave her?

Says who?

I'm still weary of her.

"Thanks for doing this." Alexander whispered in my ears earning a sweet smile from me.

"Your husband is so loving.... My mom blurted out and I eyed her immediately.

" We'd be goi—"

I wasn't able to finish my sentences because my mom immediately brought the bag she hid behind her all these while.

" What's this?" I asked surprised.

"My bag, I want to live with you." She stated without shame.

" Aren't you ashamed of yourself? You can't stay so just go." I announced.

Seeing that she can't pass through me, she began pleading with Alexander who just asked her to come into the house.

" Introduce her to Jake and ask him to treat her we." Alexander told his minions who nodded and we zoomed off.
