Chapter 36 36

Chapter 36 36
Karin's POV
Lathered with a sheen of perspiration, I rocked forward onto his cock. Adrien was sitting with his back against his headboard. One hand was on my hip, the other cupping my breast.

He was so big that I could feel every inch of him deep inside my body. He had taken me hard and fast the first time, me on my knees and him behind me. I had watched us in the mirror. Every muscle in his torso contracted as he pumped me, and his dark eyes held mine.

It was the hottest thing I had ever seen.

His hand had a strong grip on my hip bone as he rocked me back and forward with force. Our eyes were locked, and this was one of those moments where neither of us spoke—it was perfect without words.

He grabbed a handful of my hair and dragged me down to him; his lips took mine, and we kissed. His tongue slid into my mouth at just the right angle.
“Legs up,” he whispered as he lifted my knees to a squatting position.

My face faltered.
“What?”
“Be careful.”
“I won’t hurt you—you know that.”

He kissed me again with just the right amount of suction; my body knew who was in control here. Adrien Vale may have given me control of drink ordering, but it was glaringly obvious he would never give me control in the bedroom.

Not that I wanted him to; what he did was sheer perfection.

He began to lift me, slowly and carefully at first, and we went at a controlled speed. He looked up at me in awe.
“Oh,” I moaned. “So… good,” I whimpered.

His eyes rolled back in his head as he lifted me higher and slammed me down harder. My hands were on his broad shoulders, and I felt the muscles contract beneath me.

He began to moan as he slammed me onto his body, the look on his face one of sheer ecstasy.

I tipped my head back as a freight train of an orgasm shuddered deep within me.
“Oh fuck,” he cried out as he held himself deep inside me. I felt the telling jerk as his body emptied itself in mine.

His eyes searched mine, and in slow motion, he reached up, cupped my face, and brought my lips down to his.

We kissed, and it was slow, tender, and intimate—nothing like the detached version we had talked about.

He was right here with me. I knew he was.
“You are so fucking beautiful,” he murmured against my lips as he pulled me close.

I lay down on his chest and smiled against his skin as his arms wrapped around me. I could feel his heart beating hard against mine, and I felt so safe and cherished.

I knew this was supposed to be friends with benefits. But it wasn’t… it was more.

What kind of more I just didn’t know.

I felt a hand on my behind, and it gave me a sturdy pat. “Come on.” I screwed up my face and rolled toward him. “What?”

“Up you get.”
“Huh?” I stretched and opened my eyes. The drapes were pulled, and sunshine was beaming through the huge windows. I looked around, half-asleep. “What time is it?”
“It’s eight. Get up. We’re going for a run around Central Park.”
“Who is?” I frowned. He was in a towel and freshly showered. “Me and you.”

I scratched my head in confusion. “You had a shower to go for a run?”
“I smelled like sex.” He smirked as he leaned down and kissed me on the lips.

I wrapped my arms around him and held him down.
He pulled from my grip. “Come on.”
“I have no stuff here. What shoes would I wear?”
“What size are you?”
“Eight.”

“Hmm.” He put his hands on his hips and thought. “Well, you can wear some of mine.”
“I’ll fall over and break my neck, Adrien.”
“Hmm, okay.” He disappeared into the walk-in closet and came out in black Nike shorts and a blue Nike T-shirt.

I smirked when I saw him.
“What?”
“Are you sponsored by Nike today or something?”
He looked down at himself and smiled. “No, it just happens to be comfortable.”
“Like this bed.” I smiled sleepily as I snuggled back under the covers. He sat down to put his shoes on, and I watched him for a moment. “So how does this work?” I asked.
“How does what work?”
“Well . . .” I paused as I tried to articulate what I wanted to say without sounding needy. “I’ve never done this casual thing before.” I shrugged shyly. “How do we navigate this? When do we see each other?”
“Well . . .” He bent to tie his shoe. “We just play it by ear, I guess.”

I frowned. But what if he didn’t call? I’d be waiting all week. Oh, I didn’t like the sound of that. “I think I would prefer set days.”
He frowned. “How many days?”
I shrugged. Shit, did that sound clingy? I’d play it down. “One day a week.”
“I want to see you more than once a week,” he scoffed.
“You do?”
He smiled, knowing exactly what I was doing. He stood and then leaned down and kissed me. “Yes, three times a week.”
I tried to hide my smile. “What days?”
“Do we have to have set days?”
“I kind of do.”
“Why?”
I shrugged as I twisted the blanket between my fingers, embarrassed by my neediness.

He put his finger under my chin and brought my face to his. “Why, Karin?”
“Because I hate waiting around, and then we know not to plan anything else on our days.”

“Okay.” He put his hands on his hips. “When do you want to see me?”
“Maybe twice through the week and once on weekends.” I hesitated as I watched for his cues. “But only a few hours each time, of course.”
“No.”
Shit. I was going too far with my demands here.
“Two full nights through the week and one full night and half a day on the weekend.”
I smiled. “Half a day.”
“Yes, starting today. I want my half day this morning.”
“Today? Why today?”
“I’m going to go for a run while you go back to sleep. Then I’m coming home, and we are going to shower, and then I’m making you breakfast.”
I smiled softly. That sounded really good.
“And then we’re going to come back to bed, and I’m going to fuck you stupid again to get me through another few days without you.” He cupped my face in his hand. “Okay?” he asked.

He was really quite swoony when he was being nice. I nodded as I tried to control my goofy smile.
He closed the drapes and then laid me back down and tucked me in and kissed me softly on my temple. “Go back to sleep, sweetheart,” he whispered.

I closed my eyes and smiled into my pillow, and I heard him leave the apartment.
I rolled onto my back and looked up at the fancy ceiling.
The man’s a god.
