Reason to love

He nodded immediately, and shut the door.

The door soon was opened, revealing a strange pair of shoes.

I didn't want to believe my eyes at first, but not until the hand came in view.

It was a light skinned individual.

Definitely not the same skin tone as Jonathan, and the sleeves of his shirt were not rolled up to the elbow.

My heart sank, and I hissed at the entrance of the man.

He has this smile at me, and bowed slightly in greeting.

“ Good morning Ma'am, I was referred to you by HR, and I was cleared to have an appointment with you by this time.”

I stared at him with hatred.

Not like I had known him from anywhere. Most likely the first time I am having an encounter with him, but he came in the worst possible time and manner.

I nodded my head slightly.

“ So what is it that you came for? I don't remember having anything doing with you today.

And did HR…”

I paused and hastily walked over to my desk.

And yeah he was right as hell.

I had booked him for the hour.

Absent mindedly, and he was not to be blamed.

I quickly ran through his cause, and looked up to him.

“ Justin Jabeur?”

I asked, and he nodded, “ yes ma”

I paused briefly, and stared at him.

I went through his credentials once more, and stared at his picture.

He had this resemblance with someone in my memory.

I just didn't clock who it was.

“ Jabeur?” he energetically answered, “ yes ma'am, at your service.”

I asked him, “ do you have any relatives in this city? Or in this company?”

He took a brief pause, and shook his head.

“ No ma'am” he chuckled.

“ That came as a surprise question. Guess my name triggered some memories.”

I smiled and shrugged.

“ Maybe. My brain is playing games with me at the moment, but I know your face looks familiar.

Very much familiar if you ask me actually”

He chuckled and replied, “ nah.. ma'am honestly none of my relatives work here, or are even in this city.”

I still didn't believe him.

But I couldn't do much other than to still stare at his picture as I tried to figure out whose face his reminded me of.

Soon I looked down from my mirror, and I caught a glance through the blinds of a parked SUV a few meters away from the building.

I could recognize it.

I immediately got up from my seat, and slowly walked towards the blind.

Battling with the tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

“ He cannot be leaving without paying me even a farewell visit.

It is not possible.

Jonathan you dare not.”

I murmured under my breath and as I rolled the blind up.

I stared at the vehicle for a moment, instantly forgetting about the gentleman in my office.

I nodded my head slowly, and just as I was about to get back to my seat, I saw his figure walking up to the vehicle.

He had a lot of men around him.

If not for the knowledge of who he was, I could have easily felt he got arrested or something.

Although he never really moved about with this much of security.

Tears now flowing freely out of my eyes as I stared at him.

He soon paused and turned.

He looked up to my window where I stood.

Instant joy came into my heart as we locked gaze.

He smiled initially, but acted indifferent immediately he looked around him once more.

He winked at me, while I nodded at him.

I waved, and he looked around carefully before stylishly waving back.

With that, he walked into the SUV, and he was driven off.

I stared till the vehicle was out of my sight.

I then sighed, and remembered I had a client waiting.

I turned to meet him staring at me smiling.

But he quickly went into character as soon as he saw me looking at him.

“ Hey man, what was that again?”

He was about to explain, and I waved him down.

“ Worry less, you can be on your way, I'm really sorry for taking your time.

You're sorted.

I will let HR know you are cleared.”

He instantly got on his feet, and pressing his palm together, “ I really appreciate Madame, and I pray that Allah be with you on all of your sojourns.

He will give you peace in your heart, as well as your desires.”

He bowed and left

I stood speechless as I watched him walk out.

I chuckled, and turned to my seat.

I immediately wrapped up with the task on the screen and dialed for Tyler.

“ Hey Tyler, hand in my schedule for the day.”

He delivered prompt, and I had a board meeting next up.

I tapped my mousepad aggressively.

“ Fucking board meeting.

Nothing serious to be discussed by the way.

Just a bunch of recaps, and programmed speeches.

But missing it meant serious indication.

I would wait.”

I already felt the need to help him.

It was now clear and evident that he was not in charge of these moves.

He was being coerced in a quite coordinated and planned manner.

If anyone could hold the family of Rocks by the balls, it should be a member, or a well informed enemy.

This was too accurate to be random.

I prepared for the meeting, and just a few minutes before the time, I got a message from Tyler.

“Treat as important”

I immediately reached for my glasses and went through the message.

“ There had been some irregularities in the build up to the boards minutes meeting, and as a result, the date scheduled for the meeting has been postponed to the 4th of June.”

I smiled at the notification.

“ Nah… this is a sign from heaven.

He sure does need help.

I'll take this as my sign.”

I hurriedly picked my bag, and called out.

“ Tyler!”

He did not hear me apparently.

“ No need actually, these could wait till later.”

I got up to leave.

“ Hey, I'll be closing for the day, I have things to take care of.”

He took a quick glance at the wall clock, smirked and nodded, “ allright ma'am, Noted.”

I also took a look at the time.

“ 11:42 ”

I sighed.

I surely would not turn back, I was the CEO after all.

“ Allright bye, talk to you later.”

He smiled and waved.

I hurriedly walked to the car.

And I took no time in zooming off.

I needed to begin my next step immediately.

Just as I drove past a hospital on the way home, I caught sight of the particular SUV he had been driven with parked by the side of the road.

I reversed, and backed just at the corner of the street.

I had the perfect view of the side of the car , Just adjacent.
