I got home to my son Elgreen sitting on the porch.

“ Elgreen.” 

He turned hastily to me. 

“ Oh hi mum, you're here. 

I was waiting all afternoon for you to come back. 

What took you so long?” 

He asked running into my arms for a hug,and I patted his back. 

“ Yeah I had to stop by the store to get you a few of these.”
I reached for my bag, and pulled out an action figure pack. 

“ It says, Amazing Spiderman.” 

His eyes widened with joy, and he immediately hugged me even more. 

“ Aww mum, that is so sweet of you mum. 

I love you so much. How did you know I wanted one of these. 

Spiderman has been a long way coming.” 

I smiled at him, and patted his head

“ You can add to your collection.” 

He smiled, and leaped for joy, running into the house, and bumping into Elsa. 

“ Hey Elsa look! See what mama got me.”

Elsa stooped to his height, and she smiled at the gift. 

“ It's nice, there goes another superhero for you.

I hope you did thank her.”

He nodded, and ran up to his room. 

I watched him scurry away, with a broad smile on my face. 

I sucked my teeth, before catching glimpse of Elsa also smiling at me. 

I laughed and spread my arms for a hug. 

“ You're God sent in my life. 

Thank you for all you do, God grant your wishes.” 

“ Thank you very much ma, you've been a mother to me too.” 

I shrugged and smoothened her hair. 

Very funny. Even I know I haven't been a mother to my biological don, and not to mention to you.

I went into my room, and soon after dinner, I went to the balcony. 

Not that high, to observe the skyline of the city, but high enough to overlook the hustle and bustle of the very busy city. 

Liquor on the table, my glass in hand. 

I pondered on the previous steps I have taken on my journey to this point. 

This is the turning point. 

Jonathan was right. 

He was absolutely right, all of this had to actually end, as we really didn't have to stress ourselves any more. 

We had all it took to actually United as one, and bury the past. 

And to be honest, he had really proved himself capable, and up to the task at hand. 

Elgreen could finally be united with his dad

But just then an idea came to me. 

“ What if he found it hard to accept Elgreen was his son? 

He has not heard or seen anything of him since his conception. 

The cold of the night began to creep in, and I decided it was time to head for my cradle. 

Just before I lay to sleep, I took a stare at the picture beside my bed. 

It was one of Elgreen and I, on the first day of his enrollment at his school. 

“ Jonathan” 

Staring at his face brought no other memories than the face of his father. 

Remembering the earlier doubt about him accepting his son, I chuckled, and lay to sleep.

Today was mostly nothing. 

Nothing serious going on, and notably unseen on the block was the man himself. 

Jonathan. 

I really wanted him to get an idea at least of his son. 

I had brought a picture of Elgreen along with me. 

“ Hello, is he in?” 

I asked Amber. His blonde haired secretary, and she shook her head, “ no. He didn't report today.” 

“ Really? That's strange. Uhm.. when he does come around, please do me a favour will you?” 

I asked and she smiled, seeming confused.

“ Alright, and what will the favour be? “ 

I cleaned my throat. 

“ Please call me. Without letting him know, I would love to come around without his knowledge. I mean no harm actually, here is my card.” 

I slid a contact card to her. 

She had a suspicious look until she went through the card, and then nodded her head in conviction. 

“ Oh allright Ma'am, Degeant CEO I see. I will do your bidding, when or if he does come.” 

I smiled at her, and left.

Just before close, there was a knock on my door, and after permission to get in, Tyler came In with an envelope in his hand. 

“ Good day ma, this is a letter for you. 
I have no idea where or whom it's from.” 

I stared at the envelope, stretching my hand out.

I took a proper glance around it, and around a corner, I noticed an inscription. 

“JR” 

“ Hmm, okay, let's see. Thanks Tyler.” 

He nodded and left. 

I careful untied the knot, and opened the envelope. 

It contained a letter. 

I held on my hand smiling. 

It was from no other than Jonathan.

It read “ hey partner. This is an official invitation letter to join me on a a date by 7pm tonight at the “Arenas voen Flores” 

Attached to this letter is a number. 

Dial the number to relate your address to the seamstress who will deliver your clothes for the date. And also where you will be picked up by my men.” 

I blushed as I read the card. 

“ Okay, this is actually nice, I can't lie about it. 

It actually is a very pleasing gesture from him.”

I nodded still smiling as I proceeded to dial the number. 

I had given my address to them and also the venue I would get picked from, and dropping the phone, I sighed

I brought out the photo I had brought to work with me

“It may just be right to use this as am opportunity to unite you both. 

The day might just be here finally.”

I smiled, but then a new concern had come up. 

The manner of which I was supposed to introduce him. 

“ Of course it wouldn't be at the beginning would it? Nah.. that could ruin the whole thing.”

Definitely there will be an opening. 

I shrugged and got up. 

Stealing a glance of myself on the mirror, I paused

“ Hmm. Not bad after all these years actually. 

Still do I have it all in me.” 

Smacking my lips, and the clock rang. 

Another hour past. 

“ Indeed a sign.” 

I nodded and immediately prepared to leave. 

“ Date in a few hours time” I chuckled, and upon leaving the office I bumped into a lady. 

“ Hey excuse me,” 

She turned to me, her eyes widened in controlled shock. 

I stared at her with initial anger, but the joy of the day lost no time in captivating me. 

“ It's allright girl, next time you know the passage ain't that wide enough.” 

She still stared at me like as though she had encountered a ghost.
