Chapter 143 CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-THREE: DON'T HOLD BACK.

ZARA
“Where are you going?” Aiden groaned when I pulled away.
I ran my finger through his hair and smiled. I didn't explain a single word to him as I made my way to our room. He was on my tail and followed me in.
I ransacked the drawers until I pulled out the original contract we signed the night before our marriage.
“Our marriage started here,” I said, flipping through the pages and sighing at my ridiculous terms.
The contract had been done in such a way that he would have to walk away with nothing. I just didn't know; between both of us, I was the one who needed fifty per cent of his wealth.
“I don't mind if you want to keep the contract between us; it is…”
“You gave those to me.” I raised my finger to his face. The pink diamond was reflecting the light as I shook my hand. “It feels weird to still be bound by a piece of paper.”
“I agree.” He pulled me by the waist and rocked me from side to side. “That contract was no good at all.”
“Okay, good.” I took a long sigh and ripped the document down the middle, and then again and again until it was small enough to be mistaken for confetti.
I threw it in the air dramatically and gripped his shoulders. “That was fun to do,” I squealed happily, jumping in the same spot.
“I guess this calls for some kind of celebration, doesn't it?”
“It does,” I nodded.
“I will pop a bottle of wine. You should get freshened up.” He pushed me to the bathroom.
The table was already set when I came down. There was a plate of grilled salmon, one for each person, and he had already decanted a bottle of white wine.
“Fancy dinner?” I teased as I lowered myself into the chair he pulled out for me. He sat next to me and nudged me by the shoulder gently.
“We have a reason to celebrate, don't we?” he asked. I nodded.
“We do.”
I took a sip of the wine. A fruity, tart taste laced my tongue and then went down my throat. “I like the taste of this,” I murmured as I swirled the glass around.
“You should have a taste,” I added when I realised how hard he was staring at me.
We were married, but I still got flustered when he looked at me like that. My toes curled up, and my heart was beating so fast I was afraid it might stop.
“I still have a meeting tonight… better not to get drunk,” he said.
I nodded and took another sip. I slowly took the cup out of my mouth and turned to him. He was staring so intently at me.
“Are you sure you don't want a taste of it? You are looking at me like you really want to.”
“I want a taste,” he murmured, staring at my lips.
“Then you should have it.”
“Are you sure?”
I nodded with a smile. “I am sure one glass won't hurt as bad as…”
He kissed me, stopping the words before they could form a full thought. I melted into the kiss. His hand steadied the back of my head while his tongue explored every inch of my mouth.
The cup dropped from my hand and shattered on the table. The liquid spilled into my skirt.
“What was that?” I murmured into his lips when he slowly pulled away but was still holding onto the back of my head.
“You said it was okay to have a taste.” His voice was raspy; my stomach was rumbling.
“Of the wine,” I groaned. I closed my eyes, ashamed of the miscommunication between us. He pressed his forehead to mine and slowly traced my lips.
“I did. I couldn't have it, but I could taste it from you,” he continued in the very low tone he had earlier.
My eyes flew open as I realised this was his intention all along. “You sly man.” I hit his chest slightly and pulled away. He grabbed my hand before I could hit him again. He rubbed his nose against mine.
“I never pegged you to be the kind of guy to play these kinds of tricks,” I said slowly.
His hand played on my lap and slowly went up to my mid-thigh. I closed my legs to stop him and shot him a warning glance.
“I am hungry, Zara,” he groaned, pulling me closer. His eyes dragged over my skin slowly. “Are you saying I can't eat?”
I pressed my hand to his lips before he could kiss me. I shook my head and pushed myself away from him.
“When did I ever say anything like that?” I tilted my head. “Dinner is right up there; you can have as much as you want to eat. No one is stopping you.”
I slowly unclenched my legs, and his hand travelled up.
“Moreover…” I trailed off, my finger tracing up and down his chest. “I am also hungry.”
His fingers tightened over my kilt slightly. He looked up at me with wide eyes like I had done something wrong.
“You are…”
“What? I can't even try to seduce my husband now?” I cut him off, leaning into him.
I had a plan. Eat first, seduce later. Because we both needed that fuel.
He got out of the chair and pulled me up. I pouted and blinked rapidly at him. He pushed me onto the table. I grabbed his neck and kissed his Adam's apple before pulling his skin with my teeth.
I held on, and he threw his head back; a groan that made my thighs ache escaped his lips. “Zara!”
“You have a meeting later; we shouldn't be…”
He crashed his lips onto mine before I could even draw the line. He pulled away breathlessly, pressing his forehead on mine.
“I still have time before the meeting starts.” He was not even trying to hide his lust for me.
I traced the button line of his shirt and slowly took it off as I traced the lines of his chest. He carried me up, and my legs wrapped around his waist, settling on him like I had trained for this for years.
“I can't hold back anymore, Zara. I don't think I can.”
I pressed my lips to his ear and dragged the lobe slowly. I whispered in a low, groaning voice,
“Make sure you don't.”
