Chapter 179: The Roberts Family Owes Her, She Will Get It Back With Interest

Chapter 179: The Roberts Family Owes Her, She Will Get It Back With Interest

Dennis's eyes were dark and cold, giving off an arrogant vibe.

Seeing this, the male trainer said angrily, "Why should I apologize? You should thank me for warning you not to be fooled by these women. They're all gold-digging liars."

Dennis narrowed his eyes. Just as his hand came out, it was grabbed by another pair of hands.

Lily stepped forward and stared at the male trainer.  "Sounds like you got scammed pretty badly before. Since you hate women so much, why don't you just disappear and stop embarrassing yourself out here?"

He hated women so much, yet he was born to a woman who went through so much pain to bring him into this world.

The male trainer's face instantly changed. "You dare say that again?"

"Weren't you the one who said it? That all women are liars, so your mother must be a liar, too, right? She tricked your dad and then gave birth to a disgusting man like you."

When facing false accusations, never fall into the trap of trying to prove yourself innocent.

Lily's words instantly enraged him.

Rolf stepped forward and pushed the male trainer. "That's enough. Do you want to throw a punch and end up in jail? There are cameras here."

The male trainer glared at Lily fiercely and stormed off in a rage.

Rolf turned back to look at Dennis and Lily, his tone apologetic. "I didn't expect him to be that kind of person. I should have dealt with that male member earlier, too."

Who would have thought it would blow up like this?

Dennis's face looked terrible, and he said nothing.

Lily quickly spoke up. "I know, these things are sometimes unavoidable. It's not your fault."

"Ms. Roberts, thank you for understanding."

Dennis suddenly spoke. "That's it?"

Rolf was a bit confused about what the behind-the-scenes owner meant. He looked at Cameron.

Cameron cleared his throat. "After all, this happened at our gym. We should offer Ms. Roberts some compensation, like waiving the annual fee and class fees."

"Right, just look at my brain," Rolf said hurriedly.

Lily shook her head. "No need. If I hadn’t secretly acted and just endured it, it wouldn’t have blown up like this."

But she simply refused to put up with it.

After all, thinking about other girls like her being harmed, she couldn't help but want to teach that disgusting man a lesson!

Dennis spoke, "No need to put up with it. You did well. When something happens, you can’t afford to take a loss!"

Lily nodded. Only then did she realize she was still holding his hand. She let go awkwardly. "But you were going to keep hitting him!"

She had never seen Dennis look so terrible, like he wanted to eat someone alive.

Usually, Dennis had that refined and aloof look, but she didn't expect him to be quite ruthless when he fought.

But hitting someone under surveillance cameras wasn't worth it.

So Lily stopped Dennis.

Dennis answered vaguely. "They had foul mouths."

Cameron looked at Dennis's injury. "Mr. Gonzalez, it's safer to go get a tetanus shot."

If something happened to Dennis, he couldn't bear that responsibility.

He wasn't actually a professional trainer—he was more like Dennis's bodyguard.

Dennis replied flatly. "It's nothing."

Lily frowned. "How can this be nothing? Go to the hospital right now."

Dennis clearly didn't want to go.

Rolf immediately looked at Cameron. "Then you take the two of them to the hospital. I can see Ms. Roberts's hand is scratched, too."

Dennis immediately grabbed Lily's hand. "You're hurt?"

There was indeed a scratch on the back of Lily's hand. She didn't know where she got it and hadn't even noticed.

Before she could speak, Dennis grabbed her wrist. "Go to the hospital."

"Mine just needs some disinfectant."

No need to be so dramatic and go to the hospital.

But Lily saw the wound on his arm. The blood had already clotted, but Dennis needed to go to the hospital for a tetanus shot.

Cameron drove directly to a private hospital.

When Dennis got out of the car and saw the hospital, his expression froze for a moment.

It was easy to run into acquaintances here.

Cameron was worried. "It's already arranged."

Dennis couldn't afford to have anything happen to him.

Dennis went straight to the director's office. After he appeared, the entire floor was cleared.

Soon, the director came over with a medical kit. Seeing a girl standing next to Dennis, there was a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Is it your girlfriend who's injured this time?"

Lily pressed her lips together to explain. "I'm not his girlfriend."

Dennis glanced at her and directly grabbed her hand. "She's hurt."

The director looked at the wound on the back of Lily's hand. "This wound, if you'd come any later, it would have healed on its own."

Lily's face instantly flushed red. "It's his arm that's injured. He got cut by a metal cabinet. He needs a tetanus shot."

She turned to the side and pointed out Dennis's arm wound to the doctor.

Seeing Dennis's injury, the director immediately became serious. After examining it, he gave Dennis a tetanus shot.

The director glanced at Lily, then asked Dennis, "Getting hurt playing hero to save the beauty—that's a bit embarrassing."

Dennis had been so cocky since childhood, but today, in front of a young woman, he was much more restrained.

Rare.

Dennis's face looked a bit awkward. After getting the shot, he took the disinfectant from the medical kit to disinfect Lily's wound.

But when the disinfectant touched the wound, it hurt a bit.

Lily let out a small cry, and Dennis raised an eyebrow. "Does it hurt?"

She knew he was asking on purpose.

The director coughed. "Alright, now that you've got your shot, leave. Don't be an eyesore here. I'm old with high blood sugar—I can't stand watching this mushy stuff."

Dennis put down the disinfectant and left the hospital with Lily.

Lily glanced at him. "You know that doctor?"

"Yes."

Lily suddenly spoke. "Dennis, are you pretty rich?"

Dennis's steps paused, his gaze locked on her face, trying to read her thoughts.

But he failed.

His tone was probing. "Why do you ask?"

"This hospital is a private hospital, opened by the Gonzalez family, one of Empire City's wealthy families. People who can come here all have significant status. And you know the director and seem so familiar with him."

Lily thought it was a bit strange.

Dennis coughed. "I used to be a doctor too. Isn't it normal for colleagues to know each other?"

Only then did Lily remember he used to be a doctor, though just a small school doctor.

"Then why did you go to a university to be a small school doctor?"

Lily remembered that in her past life, this sharp-tongued school doctor didn't seem to stay long before leaving.

Dennis looked up at the sky. "Some personal matters."

Personal matters?

Lily looked at him curiously and suddenly realized Dennis wasn't simple. "Are you hiding some secret?"

Dennis's gaze paused.

He said softly, "Yes."

"You weren't some mysterious mercenary before, carrying out secret missions, and now you're retired but still have secret things to handle?"

Dennis flicked her forehead. "Read fewer novels."

Dennis walked ahead, his long legs moving quickly.

Lily jogged to catch up. "Then why did you come to our school to be a school doctor?"

This was a bit unusual.

After getting in the car, Dennis glanced at her. "So interested in my business?"

"I suspect you went to our school as an undercover agent."

"You have a rich imagination. You should be a screenwriter."

Lily smiled. "How did you know I've written scripts before?"

In her past life, she had written scripts for Peter.

Peter was a Best Actor who also opened a film company, but while he could act, his film company kept losing money because there were no good scripts.

Later, she learned to write scripts too, but Peter always looked down on her scripts. Yet in the end, it was the movie made from her script that became a hit and made tons of money!

But in the end, Peter said Sophie was the main creator, and she was just a minor screenwriter who polished it.

Her achievements were stolen again.

Sophie successfully entered the entertainment industry as a celebrity using her identity as the most beautiful screenwriter.

This time, though.

She wouldn't give that movie script to Peter.

Counting the days, Peter's TV series should have already aired.

But he still hadn't paid her for writing the script!

She was going to get it all back with interest!
