Chapter 34 Chapter Thirty-Four

Chapter 34 Chapter Thirty-Four
Nikolai's POV

"What thing?" She asked, still trying to press her hard nipples inside, and I walked closer, pulling them harder. "What the fuck?" She cursed, hitting my hand, and I found myself flicking my tongue over my lips while I chuckled softly.

"You're making it harder," I whispered, pulling further away, knowing Emma was at the door and would walk into the kitchen soon.

"Shut the fuck up, asshole!" She cursed, grabbing the glass and hurrying towards the door, colliding with Emma. "Sorry... I couldn't sleep, I was just getting milk. I will go in now." Elena's voice was rushed as she tried to get out of Emma's presence.

"Good night, Elena," Emma called after her as she walked fully into the kitchen, towards me. I didn't hear a single word from Elena; it only means two things: she had left the hallway and didn't hear Emma, or she was lost in her thought that she couldn't reply. Emma looked at me. I knew that look; when she wasn't smiling, she was going to scold me.

Emma had been my nanny since I was a child, she is more like a mother to me, since all my life I had never had one. So if there is anyone who has succeeded in scolding me without me being rebellious, it's her. She was among the few people, I could kill for. She is always worried about me. I gave her a tight smile.

"I will go to bed as well." I forced an awkward chuckle, "Good night, Aunty," that's what I call her, I couldn't bring myself to use her name, I was ready to leave her present when her voice came up.

"Why do you always like getting into Alessandro and his son's trouble?" My eyes snapped to her, I could already see the frustration mixed with worry on her face, that look of concern, of a mother wanting to protect her child.

"What did I do now?" I asked innocently.

"I saw everything, Nikolai? I just walked back out and shattered that vessel, before I curse, so it wouldn't be awkward for the little girl."

Typically of her. I know she saw us but I try to act shocked. My eyes snapped to her, holding my breath for real when the realization Dawn on me that she was going to scold me not because I brought a girl home but because she is my brother's fiancée. I pin my teeth to my lips without a word.

"Don't know what you are up to, but you should stay away from her."

"Why?"

"Is that even a question? Nikolai, you and I know she belongs to your brother and your father would not even think twice before pulling the trigger on you. You know the rules."

"Yes, I do. My brother's woman is off limits." I answered sarcastically. The last thing I wanted was for me to be reminded that she is Rafael's fiancée.

"But it doesn't seem to me, like you do. If you do, you wouldn't be messing with Rafael's woman and to think she is the daughter of Moretti. You know don Moretti doesn't like you, he felt..."

"That I'm a monster, a dangerous man without a heart. And what's up with everyone referring to her as Rafael’s woman? It's not like he hasn't taken what was mine in the first place."

"Nikolai, what are you thinking? Are you using the little girl to get back at Rafael and your father? So this is like a revenge on them." I pushed my fingers into my hair, combing it in frustration. How could I explain to them that I was falling for Elena and that I was fighting this thing growing inside of me and I'm losing. For the first time in my life, I wanted to forget something, but I can't. The more I tried to forget Elena the more I couldn't. The more I wanted her.

"No, for your peace of mind, I didn't touch her or cross the line."

"I don't understand you kids nowadays. I saw you groping each other just now and your lips were on her tits, and you say you haven't touched her."

I hit my hand on my forehead, "c'mon, aunty, we shouldn't be talking about this, I just told you, I didn't, and that is the truth, because I haven’t pushed my dick into her. I guess that is what they call sex. A pussy and a dick inside it."

"Too much information." I chuckled, I know she wouldn't want to hear that. "So?" I looked at her lost. "So, why is she here? Why is she not with Rafael? Did he even know she was here?"

"No to the last two questions, and she is only here because Rafael was being a dick,"

"When is she leaving?" My eyes snapped to Emma, she nodded at me, not taking her eyes off me, "Yes, because I wouldn't want my innocent little boy getting into trouble because of a girl." I giggled at her choice of words.

Innocent little boy.

Anyone hearing our conversation would think I'm not the dangerous man in the city, the one who bathes in the blood of people. A man who commands fear, no longer the little boy whom Emma raised.

Emma never wanted me to turn out like this, I could remember the first gift she had given me, 'a Bible,' the moment she had realized I could read, she had taught me how to say the Lord's prayer and had recited some prayer point, 'help me oh lord not to turn out to be a bad boy,'

But here I am today, a bad boy who had killed a man before he turned fourteen, and since then lost count of the number of men that had fallen asleep in his hand. Sleep and wake up with drugs in his system and had fuck a thousand girls before twenty-five.

How could I be innocent? I'm a bad boy, a dangerous man, and not a priest like she fondly calls me.

"Noted! She would leave by tomorrow." I finally said.

"Good and you should stay away from her."

"Yes ma, can I go now?" I smiled lazily at her.

"Yes, and your room, not hers." She added

"Maybe, it wouldn't be all bad if it's the same room, but a different bed." She glared, "I could take the floor while she takes the bed"

She giggles as she walks beside me, "No, separate rooms." I giggled as well, as we both walked out of the kitchen while she headed to her floor, I headed to mine.

I pulled my door, wanting to go inside when I heard footsteps. This time, I didn't pull out my gun because I knew whose footsteps those belonged to. I turned and looked at her, "Hey, I thought you were in bed."

"Can we talk?"
