Chapter 31

"Jaime, where are you?" Seth, Jaime's father, said for the hundredth time as he dialed Jaime's number which went straight to voicemail.

"He is still unreachable?" his wife asked.

Seth sighed heavily before replying, "he is still unreachable."

"Call Lucian again."

"That is going to make it the fifteenth time," Seth said.

"This is our son that we're talking about."

Seth dialed Lucian's number once more.

Kylie quietly tiptoed out of her room and headed to a corner in order to be able to eavesdrop on what the beauty lady and her mother were talking about because she was sure that things weren't okay even though her mother was telling her that they were.

"I have no deal to make with you" Olivia said as she sat on another couch that was adjacent to Laura's "I will advise you to listen to it first"

"Where is Jaime?" She asked calmly "Oh…Jaime…" Laura said and rolled her eyes "The last time I saw him, he was lying on my bed, and he is too tired to be bothered about what is going on right now"

"What have you done to him?" Olivia asked while trying not to cry "You must be crazy Olivia. Do you think that I will hurt Jaime, my love? He's my fiancé for goodness’ sake. Let me just go straight to the point"

"I'm all ears"

"I want you to stay away from Jaime" Laura said "And what if I don't"

Laura snickered "I'm asking nicely"

"Only Jaime can tell me to stay away from him"

"Then, we can do it the hard way"

Olivia looked at Laura with a frown but said nothing "You love your girl, don't you?" Laura asked "Don't get my daughter involve in this" Olivia said between gritted teeth "Then, you've to stay away from my fiancé. If you don't, I'm going to call the police as a worried friend and tell them how unfit you're in taking care of your precious daughter"

"You can't do that"

"Of course, I can. You drink too much to the extent that you can't even take care of your own daughter"

"I stopped drinking weeks ago"

"Really? The video was staged, wasn't it?" Laura asked and got out of her seat. She took few steps toward the door and stopped walking "I want you to stay away from my fiancé and I want you out of this city in twenty four hours or else…"

"You're going to separate my daughter and me" Olivia completed her sentence, got out of her seat and took few steps toward Laura. She stopped in front of her and said "Do you think that I don't understand what you're doing? I know you're behind everything that is happening to us right now. Last night, I ordered sparkling water and not alcohol. You spiked my drink because you're desperate"

Laura laughed and used the tip of her second finger to push Olivia's forehead "Stop being paranoid. I have nothing to do with your misfortune. You have twenty three hours, fifty five minutes to get out of my house or else, your precious daughter will soon be in a foster care"

After saying this, Laura put her beautiful smile on and opened the door "See you later dear" she shouted at the door and headed to her car Olivia sighed heavily after her visitor had left "Mom" Kylie called and walked out of the corner that she had been hiding "I heard everything"

"You aren't supposed to"

"I've known since the seconds that you came inside my classroom that something is wrong. And I am right"

"Kylie"

"She is dad's fiancée, isn't she" Kylie asked "Kylie…"

"He chose her over us"

"Kylie…stop"

"She is beautiful, isn't she" Kylie said and a drop of tears rolled down from her right eye "It's obvious"

"Kylie"

"Dad isn't even picking our calls because of her"

"Kylie"

"I'm not mad at dad, he made his own choice. What I will be mad about is if you're separated from me. I won't get over that"

"Kylie"

"If they want us out of this house, it's fine by me. We can go back to Aunty Bianca's house and live happily together there. You're the best mother in the world and I want you to know that. I love you mom"

"Kylie" Olivia called once more with tears in her eyes and ran to where her daughter was standing. She hugged her and whimpered "I love you too daughter"

Few minutes later, Olivia dialed her sister's number "Bianca" Olivia called when Bianca picked up her phone "Hey Olivia"

"I and Kylie have decided to move out of this house. Can you help us?"

"Of course"

Later that night when the paparazzi had left for their houses, Bianca packed her car outside the house and Olivia and Kylie started packing their luggage out of the house.

Once they were through with the packing, Olivia went back inside her room with a pen and 'The Mysteries of Udolpho' in her hands. She opened the back cover of the book and wrote something inside with tears in her eyes.

Bianca joined her inside the room and put her hand on Olivia's shoulder as a reassuring gesture "It's going to be okay."

"I love him."

"I know but he chose her over you which I'm never going to forgive or forget. Let's go"

Bianca got hold of Olivia's hand and they started heading out of the house. As they were heading out, Olivia kept stopping and looking at the house "Stop looking back" Bianca warned "And stop crying. You have to be strong for Kylie. It's hard on her too"

When Olivia heard this, she stopped crying and wiped her tears away.

"Now let's go" Olivia said
