Chapter 30

One of the doctors that had been taking care of Jaime walked up to Laura and Laura quickly got out of her seat worriedly "How is he?" She asked "Still in coma" the doctor replied Laura breathed out through her mouth frustratedly and said, "Is he going to be okay?"

"For now, it's fifty-fifty."

Tears started rolling down from Laura’s eyes and she quietly went back to her seat while praying for Jaime’s full recovery.

A few minutes later, Laura's phone rang. It was a call from a TV presenter that she had booked an interview with. Laura hurriedly wiped her tears away and picked up the phone "Hey," Laura said.

"Hey Miss Davilla" the TV presenter said "About the interview"

"I'm on my way" Laura replied, hung up the phone and got out of her seat. She walked to where one of the nurses that were taking care of Jaime was and told her that she will soon be back and that they can call her at any time concerning him.

When she got to her car, she reapplied her makeover and opened her purse. She brought out her engagement lookalike ring and put it on her finger "This is for our relationship" she thought as she started the car ***

"Good afternoon everyone" the TV presenter said, "Welcome back to Blue Kath. Today, I'm here with one of the hottest models in the world. LAURA DAVILLA."

Laura was shown on the screen smiling and waving.

"So, Laura welcome back on the show" the TV presenter said.

"Kath, I'm really happy for being here again."

"Now, let's talk about the deal you have with…"

After talking about Laura’s career for half of the time, the TV presenter stylishly changed the subject of their discussion to Olivia, the drunken woman that Jaime Scott was seen with last night.

"What do you know about Olivia?" The TV presenter asked "Em…" Laura trailed off as if she was just searching for words. "Olivia Grimes is someone that Jaime and I met recently," she finally said, and carefully but intentionally flashed her engagement ring to the camera.

"So, you mean you've never met her before until recently?" The TV presenter pressed Laura nodded her head and said, "Yeah. That is absolutely true. Olivia Grimes, according to what she told me and what I know about her, is a drunkard who Jaime and I had planned to take to a rehabilitation center a few weeks back, but she said that she didn't need a rehabilitation center. Instead, she said what she needed was a dinner date with Jaime. She said if Jaime went to dinner with her just once, she would stop drinking forever."

"So, it's not as if they're in any kind of…relationship?"

"Hell no," Laura replied, "I'm Jaime's fiancée." She showed the TV presenter her engagement ring. "Our wedding is in few weeks’ time."

"Whoa!"

"Olivia Grimes is just a woman we tried to help."

"Whoa, that is so kind of you. And about Mr. Jaime Scott…?"

"What about him?" Laura asked "Can my crew and I meet him and ask him some personal questions concerning this matter?"

"Em…about that, Jaime is very busy right now, but you can ask me all the questions that you want to ask him. I'm his fiancée."

Olivia's phone rang and she quickly checked the caller. It was Bianca. She rolled her eyes and sighed heavily. "Jaime, where are you?" She thought before she picked up the phone "Bianca," she said into the phone.

"Did you see the interview that his so called fiancée just did?" Bianca asked "No, what is it about"

"About you"

"I'm not interested. I'm concerned about Jaime. My gut is telling me that something is wrong with him"

"He still hasn't called?" Bianca asked "Yeah and I'm worried. Kylie is asleep now, and I don't know what I'll tell her when she's awake."

"We'll figure it out."

"I'm scared Bianca. I don't want to lose him again," Olivia said almost inaudibly before hanging up the phone.

A few hours later, Olivia heard some commotion outside her house, and she ran to her window to see what was going on.

"No" she said angrily when she saw who was walking toward her door. It was Laura. She intentionally didn't watch Laura’s interview because she knew that whatever the interview was about, it wouldn't be good for her.

The paparazzi ran after Laura with multiple questions as she headed toward Olivia's door with a smiling face.

"Miss Laura, why are you here?"

"Miss Laura, where is Jaime Scott? Why aren't you here together?"

When Laura got to the door, she sighed heavily and knocked twice with her smile still on her face.

A few seconds later, Olivia opened the door and Laura walked toward her and hugged her firmly while saying, "Hi sweetie, how are you?"

Olivia was shocked for few seconds but when she saw the cameras that were turned their way, she hugged her back and stylishly closed the door.

Once the door was closed, both of them broke apart and Laura sneered at Olivia while sniffing herself as if she was expecting some bad odors.

"What are you doing here?" Olivia asked.

"What does it look like I'm doing here?" Laura replied.

"Mom" Kylie called sleepily as she was walking to the sitting room "Where is…" She trailed off when she saw a stranger inside their sitting room "mom?" She called worriedly "I'm okay" Olivia replied "You go to your room"

"Hey, Kylie" Laura said with her sweet smile "How are you doing?"

Kylie looked from her mother to the stranger that was smiling at her for a few seconds before she replied to Laura's question "I'm fine but who are you?"

"I'm Laura Davilla, a friend of your mom’s." Laura replied with her beautiful smile still plastered to her face.

"Go to your room Kylie. I'm going to be okay," Olivia said to Kylie with a reassuring smile.

"Okay mom" Kylie replied and walked back to her room.

Once Olivia was sure that Kylie was inside her room, she looked back to Laura whose beautiful smile had vanished and said, "So tell me, what are you doing here?"

Laura's smile came back to her face, and she said as she confidently walked to a couch "I'm here to make a deal with you, Olivia"
