Chapter 29

"Hello…Hello…Jaime…Hello" Olivia kept saying repeatedly "Hello…Hello"

When Olivia couldn't get hold of Jaime after dialing his number multiple times, she knew she had to do something in order to save herself and her daughter so, she ran into her room, picked up a car key that Jaime had given her some days ago and rushed out of the house.

Laura jumped out of her seat when she heard the collision and she started shaking with fear.

"Something bad has happened to my baby," she started murmuring as she was rushing out of her house to her garage.

She dialed Jaime’s number before she started her car and fortunately for her, Jaime picked up.

Jaime had been unconscious for few minutes before something woke him up. He grunted out in pain and searched for the sound that had woken him up. It was his phone and he picked it up without checking the caller "Jaime" Laura said worriedly Even though Laura's voice wasn't the voice that Jaime was expecting on the phone, he didn't complain because he was in desperate need of someone's help Jaime breathed out before he could talk "Hey Laura. I need your help"

"Where are you?"

Jaime told her his address and before Laura could say a word, his phone fell off his hand and he went back to being unconscious "Jaime…stay with me" Laura said panicky "Jaime…Jaime"

Laura later hung up the phone and dialed 911. She told them where Jaime was and started her car ***

Olivia parked her car in front of L.A.N.A and walked inside the school as if nothing was wrong but once the teachers saw her, they kept looking at her as if this was their first time of seeing her.

While pretending not to know about the looks that the teachers were throwing her way, she walked into her daughter's classroom and told the teacher that she was there to pick her daughter up. And without questioning her, Kylie's class teacher released her.

"Mom, why are you here?" Kylie said to her mother as they were heading out of the school "We've to get out of here" Olivia said urgently "But why?" Kylie pressed, stopped walking and jerked her hand out of her mother’s “Where is dad?"

"We will talk when we get home"

"Don't tell me that we're leaving here. I won't go with you. I'm staying right here with dad"

Olivia bent down in order to be on the same eye level with Kylie and said while trying not to cry "We'll do what is best for us"

"Like leaving!? I'm not going with you mom."

"I'm your mother and you have to listen to me," Olivia said firmly and stood up. "Let's go."

The paramedics got there the same time Laura got there, and she followed them to the hospital as Jaime Scott's fiancée.

The moment Olivia and Kylie got out of the car, the paparazzi that had been tipped off about her home address showed up and started throwing questions at them.

"Miss Grimes, how were you able to meet Mr. Scott?" one of them asked.

"Is it true that you have no idea who the father of your daughter is?"

"Where is Mr. Jaime Scott?"

"Miss Grimes…Miss Grimes…" The paparazzi continued asking.

Olivia and Kylie found it hard to get to their door, but after fighting through the information-hungry paparazzi, they finally got to their door.

Olivia sighed heavily when they were finally inside and looked at Kylie who was looking at her worriedly. She slowly bent down in order to be on the same eye level with Kylie and said reassuringly "Everything is going to be okay"

"But where is dad, mom?" Kylie asked "I don't know" Olivia replied "But I will call him now"

Olivia brought out her phone and walked to her sitting room window. She slowly opened the curtain and peeped through the small opening. She counted the number of paparazzi that were in front of her house and sighed heavily. If she had knew that this was going to be the aftermath of their dinner, she wouldn't have agreed to go.

"Mom" Kylie called, and Olivia came back to the reality "Yes" she replied weakly "You said you're gonna call dad"

"Yeah. I'm about to" Olivia replied and dialed Jaime's number which went straight to voicemail. She disappointedly put down her phone and looked at Kylie "What's is it, mom?"

"His number is not reachable," Olivia replied disappointedly.

Laura paid the paramedics and the doctors for their silence about Jaime Scott's identity and made them move him into a personal room.

Olivia's phone rang and she hurriedly picked up her phone to see who it was. It was a strange number and she thought it was Jaime so, she picked it up "Hello" a woman said on the phone "Hello" Olivia replied "Who am I speaking with?"

The woman sobbed quietly in the background for some seconds before replying "My baby"

Olivia knew that voice even though the last time she heard it was years ago.

"Olivia" the woman called almost inaudibly "How are you doing?"

"Who am I speaking with?" Olivia asked as if she doesn't know who she was speaking with "It's me, your mother. How are you doing? We saw the news. Do you need any help? We can help," Rose, Olivia's mother, said pitifully.

"I don't need your help. I'm fine" Olivia replied and hung up the phone.

This was the first time in eight years that her mother had decided to call her, but she wasn't happy to hear her voice. Not after what they had done to her eight years ago. Not after what she had went through.

The first few weeks after they had been sent out of the house, she had always dreamed of her parents coming to take them back to the house, but it never happened. It was only in her dreams
