Chapter 144 The Ambiguity at the Workstation
The atmosphere between Paul and Emma was very ambiguous, and their breathing was getting heavier.
Suddenly, a new email arrived on the computer, and the sound of the notification brought both of them back to reality.
Emma immediately stood next to Paul, blushing as she fixed her hair. Paul also felt awkward as he looked through the email on the computer.
"Emma, why aren't you going home so late?" Paul asked first, needing to change the subject to break the awkward atmosphere.
Emma seemed to remember something upsetting, her face darkening as she pulled a chair over and sat down.
"It's all because of my dad—he's been on my back every day, shoving some guy at me," Emma sighed, shooting Paul a look.
Paul didn't bat an eye, no jealousy in sight. Instead, he cracked a grin and said, "That's awesome! So, what's the man your dad introduced to you like?"
"He's a lawyer, super hot, loaded, sweet, driven, clean-cut, into sports—just this all-around golden boy," Emma replied.
"Sounds like a great partner! But you don't seem to like him very much." Paul felt happy for Emma, but her expression seemed to tell him that she didn't like the man.
Emma's displeasure grew more evident. She poked Paul's forehead.
"Mr. Parker, have you forgotten your identity? In my father's eyes, you are still my boyfriend!" Emma looked at Paul, feeling frustrated.
It was then that Paul remembered the last time he went to Emma's house and was almost mistaken for a thief. It was Emma who claimed they were dating and fooled her parents.
From Emma's words, Paul put it together: her dad probably couldn't stand him, and while she was home, he must undoubtedly filled her ears with sentiments like 'Paul is unreliable.'
But Paul didn't give a damn—their whole "relationship" was a sham anyway. Whatever Emma's dad said about him, he wouldn't hear it.
"If you like that lawyer, you can tell your father that we broke up, it's all fake anyway," Paul couldn't finish his sentence because he noticed Emma staring at him with anger.
"What's wrong with what I said?" Paul shrank back in fear. A pissed-off woman could be downright scary.
Suddenly, Emma stood up from the chair. She grabbed Paul's shoulder, brought her face close to his, and asked, "Mr. Parker, don't you feel a little jealous?"
"Why should I be jealous?" Paul looked at Emma in surprise.
"Because you are my master! Without your permission, how can I meet other men?" Emma's eyes were slightly red, showing her disappointment and anger towards Paul.
"What are you talking about, Emma! I have never been your master, you are a free person!" Paul reached out to touch Emma's forehead, worried that she might be feverish to say such things. She only called him master when they were making love.
"No, Paul, you are my master. Without your permission, I would never fall in love with another man!" Emma suddenly leaned in to kiss Paul.
Paul sat stiffly in the chair, but Emma didn't just stop at kissing, she even unbuttoned his pants.
"Wait, Emma, stop." Paul quickly pushed Emma away.
Sure, he wasn't one to turn down a willing partner, but he had to set the record straight—he wasn't her "master" or anything like that.
Emma didn't give Paul a chance to speak. She took off Paul's underwear and exposed his penis.
"Emma, wait. We need to clarify this first." Paul tried to stop her, but Emma stubbornly lowered her head and took Paul's penis into her mouth.
The sensitive glans entered the warm mouth, and the penis quickly began to swell.
Paul couldn't control his physical reaction and could only sigh. "Emma, I really am not your master. Please don't say such things again, okay?"
Emma looked up at Paul, her eyes filled with stubbornness.
Just then, footsteps approached, and a figure with a flashlight arrived on the floor where the HR department was located.
"Oh no, it's the security guard on patrol, we need to hide!" Paul exclaimed, pulling Emma to find a place to hide.
