Truth is told

Truth is told
Nataila

"Does this mean it can be lifted?" I asked not knowing anything about a curses.

"It is possible, but this curse was done by a very powerful witch. She wanted him to look like this for a reason. Does he have memories of the past? Like how he got to look like this?" Sadie asked looking at Juilian.

"No, I can't recall anything from the past." Juilian spoke but it seemed like he was scared to say much.

"Well that is part of the curse then. Alot of witches will do that so you can't recall how to lift the curse." Sadie stepped down from the porch to looka t Juillian again. "Do you recall who your family is?"

"No, I do know that I am from Europe or that area." He told her but I could see the fear in his eyes.

I watched as Raven fell to the porch then jumped up to growl at Sadie. The moment she tried to go after her Juilian stopped her. It was strange to see him step in to stop Raven from harming someone. I put a hand on her shoulder to get her to stop fighting. The moment she looked over her shoulder at me she stopped cold. It seemed werid that she would just stop fighting like that. Normally she would fight till the end.

"Raven give her a chance. She hasn't touched him or tried to harm him." I told her and saw her relax slightly.

"What name do you go by?" Sadie asked as she stopped at the steps to the porch.

"Juilian." He told her but he looked like he wanted to run.

"Hmm let me talk to the coven and see what they know. You need to stay here in the area. Don't go any place a human might see you. Goddess knows we have had to deal with enough crazy stories over the years." Sadie didn't touch Juilian just turned and walked away.

I let go of Raven letting her go to Juilian. She looked him over making sure that he hadn't been hurt. He looked crushed by what had happened. When he looked at Raven I could see the love in his eyes. The way that he wanted to hold her but couldn't because of his claws. When she wrapped her arms around him he put his around her keeping his claws on his own arms. It was touching and I felt like I shouldn't be watching it. I loved her and wished that she had just talked to us. I also wondered when she met him.

"Raven, how did you meet him?" I asked as I sat on the steps to the porch.

"I took photos for a while, putting some online in groups. Juilian saw a few and we started talking. When I found out he lived over seas, well you already know." She told me then sighed. "In truth I should have gone about all this in a better way. Not treating you like a dog or dirt under my feet. I could have just asked to go see Grandma and Grandpa."

"Child I swear, you did all of that so you could meet him? I agree that you that you could have handled all this much better. We would have been happy to send you to see them." I told her rolling my eyes.

"I'm sorry mom, I just really wanted to meet him in person. In truth the frist time I meet him I almost lost it." Raven smiled as she stepped away from Juilian.

"Juilian did you tell her that she was being insane?" I asked finally.

"Yes, I did tell her that but she is who she is." Juilian shrugged his shoulders.

"That is for sure, Raven is a mule when it comes to listening to people. Trouble is she started acting out before she meet you. So I want to know why she did that. I am glad that she said she was sorry, but she needs to think things thru before acting." I looked between Juilian and Raven.

We all went into the house grabbing blood bags and rare meat for Juilian. It seemed strange to see real food here that wasn't made with blood. Granted the meat did have blood just not the kind vampires needed. After that we all went about other things. I decided I wanted to take Raven to get some new clothes maybe grab a few things for Juilian while we were out. She grumbled a little but decided to come with me. We went to the mall to get stuff, it was the first time in a long time that we had gotten along.

"So what would you like?" I asked as we walked through hot topic to start with.

"A few skirts I really like, they aren't to showy at least." Raven didn't really go for the short short skirts. "Maybe this shirt for Juilian, not sure he can wear it however."

"Alright, grab those. I see some earrings I like." I walked over grabbing the earrings. We walked to the register to pay. The lady was really nice as we checked out.

"You are being really nice to me." Raven sighed as she grabbed the bags. "I was horrible."

"I have always been nice to you. Raven the whole thing between us wasn't about me. I don't believe it was at frist. It was a means to an end." I told her as we walked into a candle store.

We didn't really need more candles, but I loved the scents. So we picked up two candles then went to another store to grab some shoes for Raven. Then we found a store that made and sold fantasy items. I loved almost everrthing in the store. I picked up a few items and Raven picked up a nice dress with some boots. The woman in the store smiled brightly when we checked out. I told her that I would love to get a cloak if she had one a little shorter. It wouldn't do for me to trip on it as I walked. She told me that she could make one in a beautiful green that would bring out my eyes. I gave her my number to let me know when it was ready.

On the way home Raven and I found a way to speak to one another and not yell. She still had some hate in her but she seemed to have calmed down enough that I didn't have to hide the anger. We had a habit of bumping heads and Juilian hadn't changed that. As we turned into the drive way I looked at the front of the house to see something laying in the grass.

"Raven what is in the yard?" I asked her as she looked out the window.

"I am not sure, it looks like a person. Though I see animal ears." Raven looked worried but didn't jump out of the car.

Once we parked she bolted to the figure. When she stopped a few feet away I couldn't tell if she was seeing something bad or good.
