When I woke the next night I moved my arm to fid Nat, but she wasn't in the bed. My eyes flew open looking around to see if she was still in the room. Seemed she had gotten up before me this time. I got up getting a quick shower. When I went to the living room where I didn't find Nat. The next place to check would be the kitchen which told me yet again she wasn't there. With a quick look I saw that her car was gone. Normally she would have left a note or something. Maybe she was in a hurry to get to what she was doing. The door to the house opened and Lucien walked in looked upset.
"What's wrong?" I asked but he didn't seem to want to talk.
"I don't want to talk about it." Lucien sat at the table grabbing the box of candy.
"You don't normally eat that. Something is bothering you." I sat at the table with him wanting to make sure he was alright.
"Candy isn't something I really like much. It's just....I'm worried about Raven." Lucien sighed as he spoke putting a candy in his mouth.
"Your sister is big enough to deal with whatever she gets herself in. Other than your mother." I joked seeing a slight smile on his face. "Besides the ward wouldn't let anyone in or near the house if they wanted to harm us."
"Ward?" Lucien asked like it didn't know it.
"You kno what I'm talking about. It is that tingle you get when you first set foot on the land here." I told him waving toward the land around the house. "The coven land is warded by some of the witches here."
"That is what that feeling is." Lucien looked shocked.
"Yes, your mother thought of it when...well." I didn't want to go through that right now.
"Right, well I am bored out of my mind and worried about Raven. She wants nothing to do with me right now. Only Juilian for her right at the moment. He didn't come into the house last night. I know that for sure." Lucien told me and I knew he was right. Juilian had stayed in the woods.
"I need to talk to him, I have a tent he can use instead of staying in caves. Plus he could have blankets." I didn't think for a moment he would take any of it. He was scared of something, what I wasn't sure yet. "Have you found anyone you like? Maybe a mermaid."
"You are so funny, we both know mermaids aren't real. Also as far as finding someone I like, no I worry to much for Raven." Lucien didn't laugh like I had hoped.
"Lucien my suggestion is stop worring so much for Raven. She will take care of herself, if she needs it we will all be there. No matter what she has done or said." I sighed because I didn't want to see him like this. "Do you know where your mother went?"
"Umm I think she went to grab some food for Juilian. Not wanting him hunting on the land in fear that he might get himself in trouble. That and she heard that new clothes had been put out at her favorite place." Lucien smiled brightly when he saw my face.
"Like she needs to get more clothes." I said standing to go into the office. "Why not go out with some friends."
Once in my office I found a note from Nat. She knew I would end up in this room so she put the note there. Lucien had been right about where she had gone. I went to work on the computer to make sure that I kept an eye on the stocks and stores we had. Didn't need to start losing money because we slaked. While I was at it I put in a call to a witch that was part of our coven. She said she would come by and see what she could see. I hoped that Juilian didn't mind me asking her to check him over. So far we hadn't heard from Elysium about what she had found. Not that I expected to hear much just yet. Mom called a few hours later saying that noone in the area had heard of such a thing. Also no one had seen him in the area. She would keep asking around and see if something came up.
I looked around the office then sighed when I looked out the window that showed the back of the house. I could see Juilian and Raven sitting on the back porch. Juilian didn't seem to want to get to close to her, I wondered if it was beacuse he feared hurting her. That made my heart hurt at the though of telling her that she couldn't have him in her life if he was a werewolf. Nat didn't care, but the elders did care. They would kill Juilian and Raven to keep the covens safe. It didn't really matter if they didn't have kids, or share blood. The only thing that mattered was keeping the secret a secret to humans. Some humans knew about us, but they had run ins with vampire or werewolves. The fae didn't come to this side very often so it didn't worry them. My phone ping with a message from Nat telling me that she would be home shortly. She had a surprise for me. That could be almost anything with her around. I went into the living room to flip on the TV. The news was on but I didn't care to hear how bad the world was. I flipped on a show I had watched over and over again. It played in the background, my mind not really into the show.
"Draven?" Nat called from the front of the house.
"Living Room." I called back to her. "How many bags this time?"
"Oh hush, Juilian and Raven are getting the bags. I need you to follow me to the bedroom." She said as she started up the stairs.
"I would follow you every where my love." I stood heading up behind her to the bedroom. When I entered the room she closed the door behind me. I noticed that she was wearing a large coat. Why would she wear that.
The moment she let the coat open and fall to the floor. My jaw went with the coat. She stood in front of me in a lacy bra that was a emerald green that hooked in the front between her breast. As my eyes traveled down her body I saw the matching lacy panties. They were hugging her hips with lace that barely covered her. Around her wait was a garter belt that matched the panties and bra. Clipped to the belt were this high stockings in the same color.
"My god." I couldn't say anything else to her. All I could do was look at her when I closed the distance between us I captured her lips in a hell fire kiss, burning us both.
