Work and test
Two days later and I am running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Draven has moved into the house with me which means a ton of upgrades and installations of a blood room. He also wanted to made the master bedroom closet bigger which was fine with her. They also upgraded the kitchen, something she hadn't gotten to yet. I hated having strange people in her home, but she had said yes to him. So he started the remodels before talking to her. Thankfully she didn't mind most of them. He also wanted to have an office in the house but I had put a end to that. I will have an office that can double as his. He seemed alright with that, but not very happy. Wanting a man cave isn't going to happen. I grinned at the look on his face.
"Everyone, OUT!" I screamed to the people in the kitchen as I try to get my blood from the fridge.
They all look at me like I am insane, but they leave. A moment later Draven walks into the room looking worried. I roll my eyes as I finally get my blood bag drinking the blood right out of the bag. The look on Draven's face makes me want to scream. He knew that I did this and should have made sure that the people knew what we are. He sighes as he moves to stand in front of me. His back on the island in the kitchen.
"You ok?" Draven asked which was a stupid quesiton.
"Do I look ok?" I ask as I finish the blood throwing the bag away.
"You have been a lilttle off since we got back." He tells me with a sigh. "We still need to see Elysium."
"I called her and she said she would come here. She didn't want to make us go to her." I look at him with sigh. "She should be here any moment."
At that moment the door bell rang. I smile as I leave the kitchen to answer the door. Elysium smiles brightly as she comes into the house with her bag and a tote bag. I bring her into the kitchen where Draven is. They both say hi and then he goes quiet. Letting me give the information to Elysium.
"How was the trip?" Elysium ask as she put the bag and tote on the table.
"It was great, I loved it but at the same time I hated it." I tell her with a laugh. "The vampires over there are so sttuffy. Almost locked in an era that isn't around anymore."
"That is pretty normal really, they don't like the new gadgets." Elysium smiled up at Draven. "How did it go?"
"Well she said yes." Draven smiled at her.
"So we have some news for you." I tell her with a smile. I can see that she is thinking something else than I am.
"Already?" She says with s bright smile. "I can do some test and see when you are..."
"Not that." I tell her with a laugh. "Something else. A side effect that is good."
"Oh." The look of sadness on her face make me sigh. "What is it?"
"Well while over seas I decided to try to go in the sunlight." I told her twisting my hands. "It worked and then...Well"
"Natalia just tell her before she has a stroke." Draven tells her with a laugh.
"What?" Elysium asks looking between the two of them.
"Draven stood in the sun as well." I tell her and watch as she falls onto the chair beside her.
"What? How?" She asked looking at Draven. "The men didn't have that happen. How did he? No test on him."
"I believe it is because he drank my blood. Hence he got the drugs as well. Just after it has been through my blood." I told her with a bright smile. "It is what I think at least."
"I have to take blood to see what is going on." She starts opening the tote then her bag pulling out tubes, needles and badages.
"God I hate the needles." I tell her as I sit on the chair beside her.
"Not you this time, him." Elysium points toward Draven.
That brightness my day as I stand to let him sit down. He doesn't seem to care as much about the needles. I still can't see it however as I start to feel dizzy watching her. Pulling out the chair beside Draven she sits down seeing black spots in her eyes. Draven looks her way looking worried.
"Are you alright?" He asks not moving but putting a hand on hers.
"Not really sure, I feel really dizzy." I feel my body flush as I finally sit up looking into his eyes.
"I might need to get blood from you as well. Not much thought so a finger prick should do it." Elysium finishs with Draven patting his arm. "Come here Nat."
I stand and I'm not as sick as I was a moment ago. Draven stands to let her sit down. As Elysium pricks her finger to get some blood. Granted normally she would have to have more blood, but at this moment she was rather sure she didn't have to go that far. Natalia wasn't a big fan of needles and the way she was feeling wouldn't make it better. So Elysium would have to do this was a small amount of blood. Elysium put a band-aid on her finger which is useless because the wound already healed.
"Sorry we don't have any lab stuff here. Though Draven wants a lab added. I am not a fan of the idea." I tell her with a frown.
"I understand that to be honest. We have a lab, a nice lab thanks to Draven. Maybe a small lab would be nice to have here, but it isn't a must." Elysium puts the tubes and needles again taking the small amount that Natalia had given to put on a small plastic test.
"Don't feed his wants there doc." I tell her with a sigh. I am so tired, this jet lag was getting on my nerves.
"Natalia how have you been feeling?" Elysium looked her over as she waited for the test.
"Tired but that is jet lag for you. Moody but that is just dealing with all the work on the house. I haven't really had time to do much." Natalia spoke with a yawn.
I watched as Elyisum waited to talk until the test told her something. Draven was watching with worry in his eyes. They had traveled a lot of the past month, and it did take a toll on the body. He was used to it for the most part. Natalia should be used it to after all the travel she had done. But not as a vampire, so it was harder sometimes. Natalia needed to rest and get back to her normal self.
