A plan is set
We both looked at Elyisum as she hummed about the test in front of her. I don't know what I was thinking that test was. Just that it didn't take a lot of blood and I was glad. My mind was running around a million miles a minute. Draven looked from me to Elyisum who was drumming her fingers on the table as if thinking about what to say. Finally she looked up at them seeing the worry in both their faces.
"Well I might have some info for you, but I have to get you two back to the lab." Elyisum told us with a sigh. "I had hoped that this test would work for what I was looking into, but it didn't seem to give me the answer I wanted."
I wasn't sure what she was looking for but it drove me crazy that I would have to go to that lab again. It was almost enough for me to say okay to have a lab at the house. As I was thinking about that, I looked between the two, an idea coming to her mind. Should she suggest it to them? I wasn't really sure if they would agree or think I was nuts. I looked around the kitchen seeing all the work going on and hated it. Having an up to date kitchen is great but she hated having these men in her home. After a few moments one of the workmen walked in to see if they could go back to work. I stood almost growling at the man, taking a breath I walked out of the kitchen leaveing the others to talk to him.
"I didn't mean to interupt." The man looked at Draven.
"It's okay, she just has had some..." Draven trailed off not sure how to explain or not to. "We will go to the office."
The two left the room Elysium taking her bags with her as they entered a large office that had a large wooden desk sitting in front of the window. The walls where filled with books, not the leather bound volumes you would normally see in a home office. No these where books from all genras. Some looking like speical bound copies, others worn and well loved. The one wall had a square that seemed to be a place for a painting. The other had sevreal shelves that had little knick knacks. The carpet was well taken care of looking rather old. Elysium put her bags on a chair in front of the desk.
"What is it you are looking for in this test?" Draven finally asked her when I came over to lean on the desk.
"I don't want to say right now. The lab is just to far away for me to do the testing I would like to do." Elyisum looked sad, but deep in throught.
"Wild idea here, how about we purchase the land next to the house. We can put in a strip mall that has a medical center on it. Though it would be just for vampires or other paranormals out there. You would be the head of the place and anyone that wanted to use the place would have to have a card or something to get in. It would be registered with their blood so that no one would get into the building without us knowing. Also we could put a club there, for again just vampires. It would be member only. A few stores such as clothes, food, and more. So many vampires have human's helping them that it would help them as well. If we bought two lots of the land then we could put safe houses in that they can rent thought us.'I wasn't sure what I was expecting but the look on Draven's face made me laugh.
"How the hell have we not thought of this before? Yes a few have done little things, such as a few homes that vampires owned. This would help those that aren't as old and have a ton of money. We could also have them work at the stores, medical, and resturant." Draven smiled brightly at me. "You area a genius you know that."
"It wouldn't be built soon enough for the test I need. However I love the idea. The underground lab is more for testing new drugs. I would rather have a clinc close to the city. That way it would be legal and not unground." Elyisum smiled brightly. "It is something I suggested to the old doctor that was in charge."
"Then it is settled. We shall get things started for getting the land." Draven couldn't stop smiling at me.
"I was also thinking that we could do a small apartment building for those that don't want a house. I mean I know I have always had money but Dad didn't. I watched as he struggled to get a place. So I thik for the ones that can't afford the homes rent we could do apartments. Trouble with that is we have to be sure that anyone in them knows about us." I told them thinking it over. "Maybe put word out to the commuinty and have to apply before hand. They can purchase the homes before hand which would pay for the building and be the layout they want. for the ones that want to rent we could go ahead and preaprrove them. I want it to be like a commuinty for us."
"Do you have a thought on a name for the area?" Elyisum asked wondering if she would have a great idea for it as well.
"Echos in Time." I said with a bright smile. It just fit, well if you asked me.
"You know that makes sense." Draven's voice was filled with pride.
"I also think that the clinc should be called Elyisum Fields." I told them looking at her when I spoke.
"Wait..what?" Elyisum was at a lose for words. She never thought she would have a clinc in her name. Tears started to slip from her eyes.
"If not for you we wouldn't be here. I would still be a monster in that lab." I told her smilinga s tears slide down my face.
"Alright, so here is what we can do so you don't have to come to the lab." Elyisum told me that i could let her take a few tubs of blood to test. That way it was here and she didn't have to deal with the lab again.
"Sounds good." I told her knowing that I would hate being in that lab again.
A few moments later she was finished and leaveing the house. The workmen had finally finished the kitchen and started working on one of the many other projects in the house. I sighed as I walked out of the office, letting Draven do the work to get things rolling. When I went into the living room I turned the TV on to watch from Supernatural. One of my favortie shows. I couldn't help but laugh at some of it seeing as I was a vampire. They got that part way wrong.
