-Yes, of course I do. I am very happy about all that. I have not expected that after three years comatose, Umberto still loves me so much - said Yolanda sweetly.
Cheerfully held by Mrs. Santangel, Yolanda saw Albina paling malevolently.
-Mrs. Santangel, this house should be the matrimonial home of Umberto and me. But this blind woman has lived here for three years. What bad luck!
-If this blind woman still wouldn't leave Umberto, I'd throw him out of here," said Mrs. Santangel bitingly and looked at Albina with annoyance.
Albina straightened up so as not to look humble.
Mrs. Santangel still dismissed her as usual. Good thing she was divorced and would no longer need to put up with these rude words.
She just wanted to get out of here without wanting to say anything. When he advanced a few steps, suddenly Yolanda pushed him and stopped him.
Since she was leaning on the suitcase, she didn't fall because of the push.
-What do you want? I've already agreed to the divorce and I'm leaving. What do you want?
Looking at Albina's thin face, Yolanda was reminded that this woman had already been married and sleeping with Umberto for three years. She felt a strong resentment.
-Mrs. Santangel, we have not yet examined this blind woman's suitcase. When she got married, she brought nothing. Now she's divorced, of course she can't take anything from here.
Yolanda turned her head to Mrs. Santangel and said smiling.
-You are right. We have to search it. All the things belong to the Santangel family. Maybe this blind woman is a thief, who is taking something from here?
Mrs. Santangel looked at Albina's suitcase.
-I didn't take anything! -Albina became very angry because of her suspicions -You can examine my whole suitcase. Except for my clothes, I have taken nothing.
Mrs. Santangel and Yolanda opened the suitcase and examined it carefully. It was true that, inside the suitcase, there were only some clothes that had been out of fashion for three years.
-Now do you believe me? I didn't take anything. Before Umberto left, he told me that he was going to give me this house, but I didn't accept it. I promised that I would leave without taking anything from the Santangel family, and I'm going to keep my promise!
Albina squatted down, to pick up the clothes that they had shuffled into the suitcase.
Mrs. Santangel felt a little embarrassed. But hearing that Umberto wanted to give her the house made Yolanda jealous. Mrs. Santangel had told her that Umberto had decorated this house for her, why did he want to give it to this blind woman?
Thinking about it, Yolanda became angrier. Looking at the thick coat draped on Albina, an intrigue occurred to her and she said something to Mrs. Santangel in her ear.
-Although there is nothing in the suitcase, perhaps you have hidden something in your body. My son is always generous with women. Surely he has bought you some treasure. Albina, take off your clothes, let us search you," looking at Albina, Mrs. Santangel said.
Hearing her, Albina began to cry with rage and also, with grief.
Since she was blind, could everyone mistreat her?
Although she loved Umberto very much, she would not allow her mother and her ex-lover to humiliate her.
-No, you have no right to search me! -Albina hugged herself, wanting to defend her dignity.
But her behavior made Mrs. Santangel believe that she had hidden something inside her clothes.
-I said to her, "Tighten her up and take off her clothes. Let's see what she has hidden in her body," said Mrs. Santangel.
-Don't come near me! -Albina shouted back.
But since she was blind, she was nothing like these two people. They pressed her and took off her coat and sweater. Albina was left with only her underwear.
The white skin was seen, where there were fresh footprints, so everyone understood what had happened.
The house was silent.
The prints left all over the body indicated the recent sex Umberto and Albina had had.
And these traces also broke Yolanda's last sanity. Her eyes reddened and she began to cry loudly after slapping Albina.
-Sinvergüenza! You're already divorced, why are you still seducing my Umberto? You're a whore! Whore! To hell with it!
