Chapter 107 - The Blessed Luna
Shelby's POV
9 AM ... 12 Hours To Go
The day has finally arrived. I'm so nervous to the point I'm nauseous. Yesterday was basically getting everything ready. We set out chairs and assembled the stage. I was so tired I passed out before dinner. Jenna made sure to wake me up though. She wasn't going to miss the chance for a bachelorette party, that she planned. I had fun. The boys went to their own bachelor party and stayed down at the dorms last night. Joel insisted we not see each other after midnight.
We just ate breakfast. Today is a day of relaxation and getting ready. Joel and all the goddesses said I wasn't allowed to see anything today. After I left the field last night, I was förbidden to go back. I have tried every window in this house and none of them show the field. The best view I got was the event hall building.
"The nail salon lady will be here at 1, the hairdresser will be here at 4, everyone will start arriving at 7, the wedding will begin at 9, since you want simple makeup I can do it, and our spa ladies will be here at 10. That leave us an hour to shower and meet in the conference room. We already have the space cleared for the massage tables." Jenna said excitedly.
"What about Elizabetha?" I asked, not wanting to exclude her.
"The conference room has no windows and is close to the basement door. She's going to come up and join us. No sun between here and there. Even if there was, she's a Queen, she can stand a little sunlight." Jenna beamed brightly.
"Perfect." I said smiling back. "12 hours till the wedding."
10 AM ... 11 Hours To Go
We went to get Elizabetha. As we opened the basement door she was coming up. I stood there admiring her as she walked up the stairs. She was a beauty. I'm so glad I got to meet her. I still get amazed at how everyone has came together.
"I've never had this done before. Is it really as amazing as I've heard others say?" Elizabetha giggled.
"Oh you have no idea." Jenna laughed.
We headed to the conference room. We got massages and facials. It was so relaxing. Afterwards, we went back to the basement with Elizabetha. Jenna is going to show the nail salon lady down here.
"Hello ladies." Rhapso said, appearing in front of us.
We all screamed, she scared the living out of us.
"Bells!" Jenna screamed.
I couldn't help but laugh because they always made fun of me for saying that, now look at them. It's not the first time in the past few days. All these random pop ins have almost kïlled us off from shock scares.
"I have brought your dresses. She pointed to the couch and four dress bags appeared. I will deliver the gentleman's next." She was gone with a smile.
"Well there's one less thing to have to worry about." Jackie chuckled.
"I am so ready to be married to Thomas, but I'll be glad when this day is over." I laughed.
"I had a triple wedding with Jenna. I know how you feel, believe me." Jackie joked.
"I'm just excited to see if it looks like Shelby wants." Elizabetha joined in.
"Oh she told you or showed you?" Jenna asked.
"I was a part of her. I have seen through her memories and seen what she desires."
"Then you know ..." I froze, I hate people knowing my past.
"Yes, I do. I wish I could've been a part of you back then, I'd kïlled him. I wouldn't have even drank his blood, he wasn't worthy." Elizabetha was getting riled up.
"It's ok. Really it is. That seems like forever ago. A lot has happened in 2 years. I have new family." I said patting Jenna and Jackie on the back. "And you're a part of that."
I think I saw a glimmer from the tears forming in her eyes. Soon the nail girls arrived and the day went by in a blur.
6 PM ... 3 Hours To Go
Our nails were done in a light coral color. Our hair was done up with cascading curls coming down the back. Wrapped up in all our curls was small peach colored baby breathes. It was elegant and beautiful.
"Time to see our dresses. Let's do bridesmaids first." Jenna was clapping her hands in excitement.
Elizabetha grabbed the dress with her name on the bag. She went inside the other room. A few minutes later she yelled.
"OMG! These are amazing."
She walked out and we froze in awe. Jackie grabbed hers and came out. She stood by Elizabetha.
"This isn't fair that I have to wear the same dress as her. She looks way better in it." Jackie laughed.
They were simple cute summer type dresses but Rhapso really made them amazing. The were spaghetti strapped coral dresses. Not the bright kind. They seemed to be a radiant but not over powering color. I didn't want outrageous and flashy.
"Ohhhh, I can't wait to see mine." Jenna said grabbing hers off the couch and running to the room.
She walked out speechless. Her dress was a little more elegant but still simple. It covered her full shoulder and hugged her torso. The skirt was a flared pleated style. It was a lovely peach color. She twirled in her spot. Joel rushed in out of breath.
"I almost forgot ... your shoes." He said as he handed out our shoes he dyed. "Aww. All my baby's look so beautiful. Let's see your dresses Shelby."
"Will you assist me?" Joel grinned brightly from my request.
He grabbed my bag and we went into the room. He unzipped the bag and gasped. I looked and my jaw hit the floor. He helped with all the fluff and zipped it up. We stood back and looked in the mirror.
"You really look like a Queen now." He said as a tear rolled down his cheek.
My dress was a beautiful light peach color. The top half looked like Jenna's top half, except I had a dark coral lace around my neck and I had sleeves made of the same lace. The bottom was a total princess gown in full bloom. It was light peach with the dark coral lace on top. There were diamond rhinestones throughout the lace on the bottom. The under fluff was the dark coral color as well.
As I walked out into the room I was met with amazed looks.
"We're speechless. You look like a Queen going to a ball in one of those fairytales." Jackie grinned.
"We better get our makeup done." Jenna said.
I wanted simple, all natural, so I went with a light peach and coral eyeshadow. Jenna made it look like the sunset on our eyes. A little eyeliner and some mascara. That was it. Lipstick was optional.
8 PM ... 1 Hour To Go
"We better go, get down to the event hall so we can get ready to walk out." Joel told us.
We all held hands and disappeared. We popped into the event hall. Times like these it's nice to have this power.
"I'm going to check on the guys and get them out there." Joel said giving each of us a kiss on the top of our heads, including Elizabetha. "Good luck girls."
As soon as Joel was gone my mother and father popped in.
"Oh my, Helios. Look at our baby."
"She's not a baby though. Sadly, we missed that." He said saddened.
"But you do have all eternity with me, so what's 20 years." I laughed.
"Plus, we get to see our grandchildren grow up and spoil them." Helios beamed.
"You are our greatest joy. We have a gift for you." Mom was getting teary.
They put there hands together and when they pulled them apart, it looked like electricity was dancing between them. Mom's sparks were blue and dad's were a reddish orange, together they made the color I loved. I guess Jackie was right, I am the in between. All of a sudden something started to take shape. In an instant a crown was sitting in my mother's hands.
"It is the perfect combination of us both, just like you are. It even has gems that have a sunset tint." She said placing it on my head.
Now I was getting teary. I hugged them both.
"Do not ruin my hard work I did on your makeup." Jenna yelled.
We all laughed. Joel busted back into the door.
"It's time." He said going back out.
Elizabetha was first. Jackie was next. Then Jenna. We lined up at the door ready to walk out. My mother and father on either side of me to walk me out. Then, Gammy appeared.
"I wanted to pop in before the walk. I love you Shelby. I want to wish you all the best. Good luck my darling granddaughter." She said kissing my forehead and popping out again.
"Ready ladies?" My dad said and with a gust of wind the doors opened.
9 PM ... Time's Up!
--- I wonder how all the decorations outside look? I can't wait to see the guys in there tuxes. ---
