Police station.

Police station.
Claudia remains seated inside the car for what feels like forever as she hopes the CCTV footage will prove her innocence.
Moments later, Nicholas and the other cops step out of the boutique with the young lady who had called Claudia a thief. The woman is in handcuffs, her wrists pulled together in front of her, and Claudia watches with bated breath as they approach the car.
“We are so sorry, miss Claudia, but could you please step out of the car so I can remove the handcuffs?” the policeman beside Nicholas asks.
Claudia wanted to ask what they found and how they discovered the truth, but she pushes the question to the back of her mind. Right now, all she wants is to be free from the cuffs that have been digging into her skin.
She climbs out of the car, turns her back to the officers, and waits. A moment later, the metal unlocks and loosens from her wrists. Claudia quickly turns around and stares at the officer, her brows lifted in confusion.
She said nothing but the cops already understand that her fierce stare means she wants to know what the CCTV footage revealed.
“In the CCTV footage, the lady who called you a thief can be seen watching you from a corner until the moment you folded the gown. It appears she was waiting for the perfect opportunity to frame you,” the officer explained.
Claudia sighs softly. “Can I make a phone call?” she asks. Now that her innocence has been proven, all she wants is to tell someone how shaken she feels and find a shoulder to lean on. The only person who comes to her mind is Sebastian.
“You are free to make any call,” the officer replies.
Claudia nods. She reaches into her handbag and pulls out her phone, taps the screen awake, and dials Sebastian’s number, saved as ‘My date.’
On the first ring, Sebastian picks up immediately. “Baby girl,” he exclaims, his voice filled with worry. “I can see the cops car beside the boutique so hold on.” His tone carries both urgency and concern.
Before Claudia can say a single word, Sebastian hangs up.
Claudia shifted her gaze toward the other side of the road and saw Sebastian hurrying across.
She smiled, relief flooding her chest as tears streamed down her cheeks. “Hey,” Claudia called, opening her arms. Sebastian rushed to her and wrapped her in a tight hug.
He held her head gently against his chest, running his hand through her hair with soft, calming strokes. “I’m here, alright? Stop crying,” he murmured, leaning down to press a light kiss on the top of her head.
Claudia sniffed, then slowly drew back from his chest. She lifted her eyes to meet his. “Thanks for coming,” she whispered, and Sebastian nodded while brushing a strand of hair away from her face. When she finally stepped back, he turned to the officers with furrowed brows.
“Please, can you tell me what exactly she did?” he asked, directing the question at Nicholas, who had been watching them curiously.
Nicholas stepped forward. “The situation has been resolved. It turns out this woman, Anthonia, falsely accused Claudia.”
Another officer added, “We’ll be taking her to the station for questioning. She’ll face the consequences of what she did. We’re very sorry, Miss Claudia.”
Sebastian stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the officers. “Sorry is not enough, officer. You handcuffed her and treated her like she was a criminal. My driver informed me about everything that happened and it’s completely unacceptable.”
“Sir, we wouldn’t have handcuffed Claudia if she hadn’t run the moment she saw us. Her reaction was suspicious, so we had to act before questioning her,” the officer explained. “So once again, we’re sorry about earlier.”
Sebastian let out a slow sigh, then shifted his gaze toward the woman the officers claimed had framed Claudia. The instant his eyes met hers, he froze.
“Ant… Anthonia?” he asked, his voice edged with disbelief.
Anthonia stared at the ground and released a frustrated, shaky breath. “Sebastian, you know that I…”
“Wait,” Claudia cut in as her brows arched. “You’re Anthonia? The same Anthonia from the boutique Sebastian took me to some days ago?”
The young sales lady looked even more embarrassed. And now that Claudia had heard her name, everything began falling into place. Anthonia, is one of Sebastian’s many lovers and she was the same woman who had mocked Claudia in the VIP boutique room that day.
“Hold on, do you know this young lady?” Nicholas asks, his curiosity clear in his tone.
Sebastian lets out a frustrated sigh, running a hand over his forehead. “Anthonia… she’s obsessed with me,” he admits, his voice tight.
“And have you two aren’t in a relationship?” Nicholas presses.
“No,” Sebastian responds quickly, his frown deepening. “Anthonia has a crush on me, and I was the reason she got fired from her last job because she insulted Claudia and made her feel worthless.”
The other cop scoffs and guides Anthonia to the back of the police car. She remains silent for a moment, her head bowed in guilt. Then she suddenly lifts her head, staring at Sebastian with desperate eyes. “Sebastian, you know… you know I love you more than anything. You can’t throw that away just because some nobody suddenly appears, thinking she can love you too,” she blurts, leaning forward, trying to open the car door.
The tension crackles in the air as the officer beside the door tighten their grip on her, preventing her from escaping, while Sebastian’s gaze hardens and Claudia shifts uneasily beside him.
The police officer at the car door pushed Anthonia’s head down, keeping her firmly seated.
“I’m sorry, Sebastian. I didn’t mean to cause trouble, but that girl was doing too much. She was in the sexy clothing section, and I thought she was trying to seduce you… please, give me another chance, and I promise I…”
“That’s enough!” the cop shouted, slamming the car door in Anthonia’s face. He couldn’t bear to hear any more of her nonsense.
Turning to Sebastian and Claudia, he forced a smile. “So, Claudia, just to be clear, you and Anthonia are fighting over a man?”
“No,” Claudia quickly replied. “Sebastian isn’t my boyfriend. Anthonia just misunderstood our relationship.”
The cops nodded, not bothering to say another word. They opened the car doors, got in, and the police car soon drove away, leaving Sebastian, his driver, Claudia, and Nicholas behind.
“I’ll go and get the car ready,” the driver said, breaking the awkward silence as he excused himself. Now only Claudia, Sebastian, and Nicholas were left.
“Umm, Nicholas, thank you so much for proving my innocence,” Claudia said with appreciation, extending her hand toward him.
He shook Claudia’s hand and smiled warmly. “You’re welcome, beautiful,” he purred, giving her hand a gentle shake before withdrawing it, turning around, and beginning to walk down the road.
Claudia brought her hand closer to her nose and inhaled, lightly scuffing her feet on the floor. “Now my hand smells so nice,” she said out loud, causing Sebastian to glare at her in a mix of exasperation and amusement.
