Chapter 60

Chapter 60
"Michael, Jay is currently the chief architectural consultant of our Brown family. We're here to discuss work, that's all," Lidia explained with a cunning smile.

In Sofia's ears, it sounded deeply contemptuous.

Aside from that woman, Isabella, Michael probably wouldn't give anyone else a chance, right? Lidia was just deluding herself.

Lidia took the initiative and picked up her fork, eagerly picking food from Michael's bowl and smiling as if trying to please him. "Michael come on, let me personally serve you a piece of pork rib. I come to this restaurant often, the taste is really good."

Sofia held her chopsticks tightly, wishing she had supreme martial arts so she could crush that fork into powder and show Lidia how powerful she was.

However, dreams are full of ambition, but reality is always too harsh.

Even if she looked at Lidia with disdainful eyes, she couldn't stop that woman's flattering thoughts.

Jay sat on the side, very humble and courteous, occasionally glancing at Sofia with eyes that flashed with a thousand emotions.

Sofia had no time to pay attention to this and stared at the bowl of Michael, lost in thought. In a trance, Lidia had already picked up the food for him.

She pursed her lips. Michael had a cleanliness obsession, and Lidia was definitely poking him in the sore spot.

"Ahem..." Sofia cleared her throat deliberately and put on a brilliant smile. "Michael, Miss Brown is really enthusiastic. Why don’t you give her the honor of eating some food..."

Michael glanced at her.

With just this casual glance, Sofia felt that his sharp eyes had already tortured her twice over.

However, Lidia was displeased and furrowed her brows.

"I'm talking to Michael. When did it become your turn to interrupt, little secretary?"

Oh~. Sofia pulled the corners of her mouth. She risked her life stealing blueprints for the Brown family, and yet Lidia turned against her with vile words!

Years of accumulated hopes and old grudges burned in Sofia's chest like a flame!

With a sudden smile, she reached out and, in front of Lidia, took the bowl of rice in front of Michael and placed it in front of herself. "Miss Brown, don't you know that our boss doesn't eat spicy food?"

Lidia was stunned, then showed a fierce look.

Sofia smiled and glanced at Michael's deadpan expression.

Then, in front of him, she picked up the dishes that Lidia had just picked for him, piece by piece, and threw them directly onto the table.

The angrier Lidia got, the happier she seemed to be.

At last, she picked up a few crispy green vegetables and presented them in a bowl in front of Michael.

"Look, our CEO is a vegetarian. He can't bear anything too heavy in taste," she said.

Sofia's comment about the taste being too heavy was filled with ambiguity.

Her eyes were like the voluptuous body of Lidia, not like the food in front of Michael...

This made Lidia furious, and her face turned pale.

Michael subtly twitched his jaw.

Lidia narrowed her eyes and asked, "Michael, are you really going to let her act like this? Do you really like her?"

"Yo~, Miss Brown, what do you mean? Why is there such a strong sour taste?" Sofia looked at Lidia's pale face and felt overjoyed in her heart.

Unexpectedly, Michael suddenly jerked his arm away and separated from her.

Before she could react, he immediately turned around and hugged her into his arms, sealing her lips...

"Um..." Sofia was shocked.

This kiss came too suddenly, and everyone present, except Michael, was dumbfounded.

Needless to say, Lidia's degree of shock.

Jay was stunned for a moment but quickly concealed it.

Sofia was indignant!

This guy succeeded in sneaking an attack on her again!

His ice-cold lips carried a hint of punishment, and he was ravaging her to the point where she couldn't catch her breath.

She wanted to resist, to struggle, to do all sorts of things...

However, when her peripheral vision caught Lidia's unbelievably shocked black face, all of Sofia's rebelliousness disappeared.

She instead boldly extended her arm and climbed onto Michael's head, her fingers inserted into his thick, smooth, black hair.

She even deliberately made disgusting whining sounds, "Um...Um...Um..."

Intentionally angering Lidia!

Lidia couldn't bear to watch it anymore, but to maintain her image, she still forced herself to say, "Michael why don't we eat first..."

Only then did Michael release his mouth.

Sofia felt a chill once again.

Looking at this guy nonchalantly letting go of her and calmly turning his eyes towards Lidia, his deep voice spat out, "You saw it, she's clingy. It's hard to eat a peaceful meal with her around."

The indulgent tone of his words sounded as if he and Sofia had something going on!

Sofia's mouth twitched. It was a good thing he still looked elegant like a person!

She secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Truthfully, that kiss just now really made her heart jump and her blood pressure rise.

She needed to calm down.

Lidia's face turned white all of a sudden, and she angrily glared at Sofia, "Michael I understand, but I don't mind waiting patiently for you..."

Michael raised his eyebrows but remained silent.

He picked up his chopsticks, picked up the vegetables that Sofia had just served him, and started to eat...

Sofia was dumbfounded.

Didn't he just say that the dishes she ordered were for the rabbit to eat?

Lidia was also dumbfounded, but she was shocked that Michael actually ate the vegetables that Sofia served him!

So, this meal began in a strange atmosphere...
