Chapter 214 Ready for the happily.......

The romantic tension of the ceremony dissolved into the lively, chaotic energy of the reception, but peace was a rare commodity wherever young Andrew was involved.

Near the edge of the dance floor, a diplomatic crisis was rapidly unfolding. Little Leila stood with her hands planted firmly on her hips, glaring daggers at Andrew, who was clutching a leftover flower basket to his chest like a military shield.

"Give it to me, you stubborn little space cadet!" Leila hissed, trying to yank the handle.

"Absolutely not!" Andrew snapped back, pulling it out of his reach and standing on his tiptoes. "Do you not understand rank and hierarchy, Leila? I am older than you by a full three hundred and sixty-five days! Seniority dictates that I should be holding the basket, not you!"

"I don't care about your stupid math!" Leila yelled, her face flushing bright red with fury. "My mom said I'm in charge of the petals!"

Before the dispute could escalate into a full-scale physical brawl, Claire and Kristy swooped in like peacekeeping forces. Claire grabbed her daughter by the shoulders, while Kristy pried the basket away from Andrew’s stubborn grip, both women sighing deeply as they separated the pint-sized combatants.

"All right, courtroom is adjourned," Claire sighed, rubbing her temples. "Andrew, let it go. Leila, drop it."

Andrew crossed his arms, huffing indignantly and muttering under his breath about the general incompetence of junior members of society, though he quickly stationed himself a safe distance away, keeping a suspicious eye on Leila.

The formal reception smoothly transitioned into an intimate after-party.

The string quartet packed up their instruments, replaced instantly by a rich, warm sound system that filled the courtyard. Suddenly, the soft, sultry melody of Elisa’s own voice drifted over the speakers. It was her breakthrough international hit,the song that had once defined her life as a global pop star before the shadows of her past caught up with her.

Ridge turned to his new bride, a soft, rare smile touching his lips. He held out his hand, pulling her effortlessly against his chest as they stepped onto the glowing dance floor.

Elisa rested her head against his shoulder, letting out a long, contented breath as they swayed in rhythm to her own voice echoing through the gardens. Baby Sunny was safely tucked upstairs in his nursery under the watchful eye of a trusted nurse, sleeping peacefully after a long day of being the most famous infant in the city. All the fear, the hospital monitors, and the doubts planted by her father melted away into the warm night air. She was safe. She was loved.

A few yards away, Andrew stood on a velvet-cushioned chair, scanning the area like a true Head of Security, desperately trying to keep a watchful eye on Leila, who was busy eating a mini wedding cupcake instead of causing trouble, leaving the young "bodyguard" entirely exasperated.

Soon enough, the night began to wind down. The few specially invited guests, family members, and close friends offered their final warm hugs and congratulations before filing out through the flower-draped gates. The doors of the estate closed, leaving the newly minted family in a quiet, blissful cocoon.

Far away from the music, the laughter, and the glowing lights of the Lockhart estate, in a damp, sterile maximum-security prison cell, the world was entirely different.

Jason sat on the edge of a cold metal bunk, his hands cuffed to the bolted frame, his eyes hollow and burning with a psychotic, obsessive fire. He stared blankly at a small, contraband screen wired into the prison's underground network,a feed broadcasting the aftermath of the Lockhart wedding.

He watched Ridge Lockhart hold Elisa close. He watched the way the billionaire looked down at her with fierce, protective devotion.

A twisted, wretched smile spread across Jason’s bruised lips.

Weeks ago,Jason had managed to smuggle a message directly to Vicenzo through underground channels. Vicenzo had also reached out him secretly letting him know that he was Rick Darco.
Jason had made sure the criminal syndicate boss knew the ultimate, explosive truth,a dark, ticking secret that Ridge Lockhart was still completely blind to.

Ridge didn't know.

Ridge thought he was playing the noble savior, accepting Elisa and her newborn son Sunny just to shield her from external forces, completely ignorant of the biological reality. Deep down, Jason knew Ridge still secretly harbored a microscopic, agonizing seed of suspicion that the infant now carrying the Lockhart name might actually share another man's blood particularly his.

Jason let out a raspy, hysterical laugh that echoed off the cold stone walls of his cell, his eyes wild with sadistic glee.

The doors of the master suite closed softly, shutting out the lingering echoes of music and laughter from the courtyard below. The wedding night had finally arrived, wrapping the sprawling Lockhart estate in a quiet, luxurious stillness.

Inside the softly lit bedroom, Elisa stood in front of the vanity mirror, gently unpinning the delicate veil from her vibrant red hair. Her fingers brushed over the soft silk of her gown as she let out a long, contented sigh. The wedding had been everything for her, intimate, beautiful, and entirely real.

A gentle knock echoed at the door before it opened a fraction, and Kristy poked her head in, holding a freshly burped, milk-drunk baby Sunny in her arms.

"All fed and completely passed out," Kristy whispered with a warm, knowing smile. "He is officially dead to the world, Elisa."

Elisa walked over, a soft, affectionate smile curving her lips as she looked down at her son. Little Sunny was deeply asleep, his tiny hands curled into soft fists against his chest, completely unaware that he was the most fiercely protected baby in the city.

"Thank you, Kristy," Elisa murmured, gently brushing a finger over the baby's chubby cheek. "Are you sure you don't mind taking him for the night? I know you must be exhausted too."

"Nonsense," Kristy beamed, adjusting her hold on the infant. "You and Ridge just survived a wedding, a hospital stay, and a family reunion all in one day. You deserve a proper night of uninterrupted sleep. Besides, I'm claiming official godmother duties for the night. Sunny and I are staying in the VIP visitor’s suite down the hall. If he so much as squeaks, I'll handle it."

Ridge walked out of the adjoining dressing room, wearing a loose white shirt with the top buttons open, his dark hair slightly tousled. He looked at Kristy and the sleeping baby, a rare look of profound gratitude softening his sharp features.

"Thank you, Kristy," Ridge said, his deep voice carrying genuine appreciation. "We owe you one."

"Just buy me a nice pair of earrings later, boss," Kristy laughed softly. "Goodnight, you two. Lock the door behind me."

With a quiet click, Kristy slipped out into the hallway, taking Sunny safely to the guest suite for the night.

Downstairs, the estate had finally grown still. The Lee family had already departed hours ago, leaving behind a stack of meticulously wrapped high-society gifts on the foyer table before their black town car rolled out through the iron gates.

Alone at last in the vast, elegant bedroom, the air between Ridge and Elisa shifted. The tension of the day melted away, leaving only the raw, magnetic pull they had fought so hard to protect.

Ridge crossed the room in long, deliberate strides. He stopped right behind Elisa, his broad chest pressing gently against her back. In the reflection of the glass, she watched his dark eyes lock onto hers with an intensity that made her breath catch.

He reached around, his large, warm hands resting softly on her waist, pulling her flush against him.

"Mrs. Lockhart," Ridge murmured, his lips brushing against the sensitive skin just below her ear, sending a sudden, electric shiver racing down her spine.

Elisa leaned her head back against his solid shoulder, closing her eyes as a breathless laugh escaped her lips. "Mr. Lockhart... I thought you'd be tired after running an entire wedding in secret."

"For months, I've had to share you with hospital rooms, bodyguards, and fear," Ridge whispered, turning her slowly in his arms so she was facing him entirely. His voice dropped into a low, gravelly register that completely stripped away the outside world. "Now, there are no gates, no doctors, and no interruptions. Just you and me."

He cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs gently tracing her cheekbones before his lips met hers.

It wasn't the desperate, public collision of the altar. This kiss was slow, deep, and intoxicating,a quiet celebration of everything they had survived and everything they were finally building together. Elisa wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, sinking completely into his embrace, letting the warmth of his love wash away every lingering shadow of doubt.

The world had narrowed down to just the two of them, locked safely in each other's arms, ready to claim their happily ever after.
