Chapter 79 Touch Sienna and You're Done For!
Gage remained defiant. When had the Smith family ever needed outside investment?
"The Smith family doesn't need your money!" Gage declared with unmistakable pride.
Alexander merely smiled, taking out his phone and showing it to Gage, whose expression shifted to surprise.
"You've mastered AI technology? These patents are all yours?" Gage's voice rose in disbelief. "Alexander, you planned this all along, waiting for me to walk right into your trap. This is outrageous!"
Gage, fuming, grabbed his glass as if to throw it, when William suddenly shouted, "Grandpa, aim for Daddy's big nose! I bet you can hit it!"
Cruz couldn't contain himself and burst into laughter.
The rest of the Smith family joined in the amusement. Alexander, unfazed, found it entertaining and pulled William onto his lap. "You enjoy seeing me threatened?"
William nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes! Usually I'm the one getting scolded by mommy. Finally, someone else knows how it feels!"
The dining room filled with laughter. Since the evening gala was scheduled for six, after lunch Sienna was whisked away for styling. Alexander had prepared over twenty designer gowns, all exclusive luxury pieces custom-made for the occasion.
Even the makeup artist couldn't help but praise her. "Ms. Smith, you're stunning. These gowns complement you perfectly!"
Sienna preferred subtle makeup, giving her a distinctive elegance.
Amara beamed with delight upon seeing her. "Sienna looks absolutely gorgeous. A true daughter of the Smith family!"
Hearing this, Gage's mood brightened considerably as he hurried over with jewelry. "Sienna, I've prepared these for you. They'll match your dress beautifully!"
Though Alexander had already coordinated jewelry sets, Sienna couldn't refuse Gage's hopeful expression. "Perfect, I'll wear these!"
Gage was overjoyed, personally fastening the jewelry on Sienna. The family gathered around, oblivious to someone entering from outside.
"My, Gage, have you opened a jewelry store? Such exquisite pieces!" The newcomer brazenly helped herself to several items, placing them on her wrists while instructing her servant. "Pack all of these for me. Take them to my room—I want them all."
The servant hesitated, glancing toward Amara. Before Amara could respond, Cruz rushed forward, yanking the woman away and pushing her toward the servant.
"Take off everything she's touched and clean it thoroughly, then deliver it to Sienna's room," Cruz commanded. "This is the Smith household. We're very much alive, and no one is inheriting anything yet!"
At his words, the servants quickly removed the jewelry and gathered all accessories and clothes, taking them upstairs to the dressing room.
The entire second floor had been converted for Sienna and the three children—even Ethan's study had been relocated to the third floor, demonstrating the Smith family's regard for her.
The woman, treated so dismissively by the servants, was furious. "Gage, what is the meaning of this? Just because Sienna has returned—a mere nobody—she gets royal treatment? Even I haven't been treated this way!"
Gage scoffed. "Who do you think you are to compare yourself to Sienna?"
Sienna looked questioningly at Ethan, who explained, "This is Sabrina, a distant relative who happens to share our surname. She uses the Smith name to con people and frequently steals from our home. Mother had her thrown out two years ago—nearly sent her to prison."
Understanding dawned on Sienna, who instinctively gathered the children protectively. Alexander picked up Olivia and called for Gemma.
"Take the children upstairs and keep them there," he instructed.
Gemma nodded, carrying the children away with Elodie following, holding Henry and William's hands.
Seeing this, Sabrina lunged forward like a madwoman, snatching William from Elodie's grasp.
"Ethan, if you won't give me what I deserve, I'll smash your child to the floor right now!" she threatened, lifting William as if to throw him down.
Everyone rushed forward, but Alexander moved fastest, kicking Sabrina down and catching William in one fluid motion.
William, terrified, burst into tears in Alexander's arms. "Daddy, I'm scared! So scared!"
"It's alright, I'm here. You're safe now," Alexander soothed, holding him tight.
Gage, stunned by Sabrina's audacity, grabbed her by the collar and slapped her repeatedly. Cruz moved to join in, but Ethan held him back.
"This is between elders. Stay out of it."
Sabrina's face was bloodied, shocking the guests who had arrived for what they expected to be a joyful family gathering.
"Gage, what are you doing? Isn't this supposed to be a celebration?" one guest asked in confusion.
Gage laughed coldly. "Today was meant to be a joyous occasion for the Smith family, but some people don't deserve the Smith name. This 'relative' walks in and tries to steal from Sienna, thinking she's entitled to our possessions?"
"You're treating one woman like a treasure," Sabrina spat. "If you want a daughter so badly, I have several I could send over. They could all be your daughters, Gage—"
"Silence!" Gage roared. "I have my daughter. I want nothing from you. From this day forward, you'll have no connection to any Smith enterprise. If you dare use our name again for your schemes, I'll have you shipped abroad and dealt with permanently."
Gage, normally composed in Amara's presence, had lost all restraint in his anger.
William continued crying, clearly traumatized. Sienna was heartbroken at the sight.
Alexander was equally furious. "Call the police. This woman belongs in prison for attempted murder of a child. I want her locked away for life."
Ethan agreed and contacted authorities. The police arrived promptly to take Sabrina away.
Not satisfied with mere arrest, Alexander made a phone call. While his overseas connections weren't as extensive as his domestic ones, he could certainly ensure this matter was handled appropriately.
Sienna carried William upstairs. They would return for the evening gala, though Ethan had already increased security measures.
Alexander retreated to the study, still seething over the incident.
"I've prepared a residence not far from here," he stated. "I want to take Sienna away from Smith Villa."
"Impossible," Ethan replied firmly. "My parents would never agree, and neither would I."
Alexander's laugh was cold. "But you can't protect them. The Smith family is the center of attention in this country. Sienna will have no privacy or security here. Can you guarantee she won't suffer? And what about the children? How will they study and live normally? Have you considered that?"
