Chapter 189 – Bonus - Superstar

Chapter 189 – Bonus - Superstar
Zander’s POV

“Not a word of this to Izzy,” I demanded. “Do I make myself clear?”

Everyone either nodded in agreement or said yes.

“I don’t want her to worry about this at all,” I stated. “Especially since it’s been taken care of. I’m going to check on Izzy. I’ll text you when she’s ready for visitors.”

“We’ll keep you updated on Morgan as well,” Kimmy advised.

“Sounds great,” I said, as I turned to head back to Isabella’s room.

I slowly pushed the door open, and I was greeted by the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen. My little bunny, fast asleep, looked like an angel with her hair splayed around her. I have never loved this woman more than I do right now.

I glanced over at Nina in the corner of the room. She was sitting there knitting. Nina knits? The scary former Mafia Donna was over in the corner, knitting baby clothes.

“What?” Nina whispered.

I walked towards her. “I didn’t picture you as a knitter,” I softly chuckled.

“My Nonna taught me,” Nina shrugged. “Isabella can knit, too.”

“Really?” I said, shocked.

“Yes, you should see some of the beautiful work she has done,” Nina grinned. “In fact, she knit the christening gowns for the twins.”

“When?” I asked, puzzled.

“While you were at physiotherapy and out with Nathan at work,” Nina informed. “Please don’t say anything, she wanted it to be a surprise.”

I turned to look at Isabella, and her eyes fluttered open. I smiled at her. “Il mio coniglietto,” I said sweetly (My little bunny). Isabella’s face lights up with pure joy.

“Since when have you known any Italian?” Isabella questioned.

“Nonna has been teaching me a bit,” I answered, walking over to the bed. I bent down to kiss her forehead, but she grabbed my neck and pulled me down to her lips. I felt Isabella’s moan against my lips. Then I heard Nina sigh. Both Isabella and I pulled back, embarrassed.

“Oh, don’t let me stop you,” Nina beamed. “Having someone who loves your daughter with all of their being is the best thing for a mother to see.”

“Ew, Mama,” Isabella said, scrunching up her nose. “You just made it weird.”

The door to the room opened, and in walked Nurse Wren, pushing a baby cot. “I tried to put them in separate cots, but they just wailed for each other,” Wren explained. “Sophia has quite the set of lungs on her.”

Right now, though, both twins are on their sides, ‘staring’ at each other, not making a sound. I know their eyesight is crappy at this point, but they seem perfectly content looking at each other.

“Your children are gorgeous,” Wren grinned. “Although it figures since both of you are good-looking.”

“Thank you, Wren,” Isabella blushed.

“Just stating the facts,” Wren advised. “Do you want to try nursing, Isabella?”

Isabella looked terrified. “I… I… guess I could,” Isabella stuttered.

Wren patted Isabella’s hand and smiled. “Isabella, we’ll take it slow, okay?” Wren encouraged her. “If you have problems, we’ll get the lactation specialist to help you.”

“Thanks, Wren,” Isabella uttered.

“Sophia seems a little more demanding, so we’ll try her first,” Wren giggled. Wren picked up Sophia and helped Isabella. “Daddy, now is your chance to bond with Alexander.”

I walked over and picked up Alexander and settled into the seat next to Isabella’s bed.

“Hey, baby boy,” I whispered. “I’m your dad. Sorry, I’m not some action movie star or a prince or something, but I promise I will love you with every inch of my being. I will protect you and love you until the end of time.”

Alexander responded by letting out a large wet fart. Great, my son didn’t like my speech, I chuckled to myself.

“Sounds like someone needs a diaper change,” Nina laughed.

“You think so?” I smirked.

“Come, I’ll show you,” Nina declared.

We walked over to the change table, and I laid Alexander down.

“The first poop always is a shocker,” Nina informed. “It looks like black tar.”

Thank God, Nina is here. I would never have known. Nina wasn’t joking, but I did it. I changed my son’s diaper, and I didn’t get peed on. I felt a sense of accomplishment until I looked over at Isabella, who was grinning from ear to ear. There she was, Sophia, latched to her breast, giving our daughter life. My wife was a freakin’ superstar.

“Go praise your wife,” Nina said as she picked up Alexander.

I smiled at Nina, walked to Isabella, and stroked her hair. “You are amazing, bunny,” I grinned, bending down to kiss her forehead.

“I did it,” Isabella beamed.

“Yes, you did, bunny,” I said, smiling. “Do you want to try Alexander now? It looks like Sophia is sleeping.”

Isabella looked down at Sophia, who was snoozing away.

“Yes, let’s try Alexander,” Isabella said cheerfully.

Nina brought over Alexander and placed him in Isabella’s arms after Wren took Sophia to put her in the baby cot. Isabella switched to her other breast, and after 5 minutes, Alexander was happily sucking away.

Yep, Isabella was a superstar, and I will never forget that.

The door swung open. It’s Amelie. She’s super excited about something.

“Oh, sorry,” Amelie apologized. “I should have knocked.”

“It’s ok, Amelie,” Isabella declared.

“I’m just so excited,” Amelie said, bouncing up and down. “Morgan had a little girl!”

“Oh, my goodness,” Isabella squealed. “That is exciting!”

“Amberley Hailee Marks,” Amelie advised.

“That is so pretty,” Nina said, smiling.

“She’s actually next door,” Amelie informed. “So, when you’re up for it, we can have all the babies visit.”

I took Alexander from Isabella since he had passed out and put him in the baby cot with Sophia.

“First things, first,” Isabella giggled. “I should see if I can make it to the bathroom, since I really have to pee.”

“I’ll help you,” I said, holding out my arm. Isabella slid out of the bed and stepped into her slippers. We started walking slowly to the bathroom. “How are you feeling?”

“Like I pushed two watermelons out of my pussy,” Isabella whispered, snickering.

“Point taken,” I grinned. “I guess I should spoil you rotten for doing that.”

“No, all I need is your love and support,” Isabella expressed, leaning on my shoulder.

“Izzy, you have that until I take my last breath,” I said, kissing the top of her head. “Always and forever.”
