Chapter 179 – Bonus – Grand Prize
Chapter 179 – Bonus – Grand Prize
Zander’s POV
“Salvatore?” Dante prompted.
“You know Nina is going to kill me, right?” Salvatore smirked.
“Nah, well, at least not until you get home. Too many witnesses here,” Dante chuckled.
“In the VIP section of a club,” Salvatore said, bluntly.
“Nathan?” Dante asked.
“In a car, Mount Haleakala on the island of Maui,” Nathan answered.
“Zander, your turn,” Dante grinned.
“In a greenhouse,” I said, not daring to look at Salvatore.
“My greenhouse?” Salvatore asked.
I gulped, “Yes, sir.”
“Hmmm,” Salvatore responded gruffly.
“Next question!” Dante said, reading his cue cards. “According to your partner, if they were an animal, which animal would they be?”
“Bunny,” I replied.
“Kitten,” Nathan said, matter-of-factly.
“Tiger,” Salvatore responded.
“Last question, gentlemen,” Dante uttered. “What’s your partner’s favorite song to sing in the car or shower?”
Nathan grinned, “Lose It by Eminem. Definitely that one, Amelie goes all gangster in the shower.”
The crowd laughed collectively.
Salvatore answered quickly, “Material Girl by Madonna.”
“Zander?” Dante said.
“It’s raining men, but I’m not sure if she’s singing the Gloria Gaynor version or the Geri Halliwell one,” I responded.
“I think it’s the Gloria Gaynor one,” Salvatore chuckled.
Morgan walked up with big cue cards for the gentlemen to hold on their laps.
“Ok, let’s bring out the ladies,” Dante declared, and Kimmy brought everyone out. “Welcome back, ladies. Let’s get started with the questions. What song do you like to sing the most in the shower or in the car? Nina?”
“Easiest question ever!” Nina said, smiling. “Material Girl by Madonna.” Salvatore lifted his sign to show the matching answer.
“Amelie?”
“I honestly be throwing it down in the shower,” Amelie giggled. “Only place I can swear. Has to be Lose It by Eminem.” Nathan lifted his match, and Amelie hugged him.
“Isabella?”
“Well, Zander has only caught me singing twice, and it was the same song both times,” Isabella grinned. “It’s Raining Men, the Gloria Gaynor version.”
“Yes!” I declared, holding up the sign, then leaning over to kiss her.
Dante asked the second question about the animal, and everyone got it right.
Then the dreaded third question came. “Ladies, where is the weirdest place you’ve ever had sex?” Dante asked. “Nina?”
I could hear Isabella physically gulp.
Nina was red as a beet. “Um, at a lookout point in Italy?” Nina blushed.
“Sorry, that’s incorrect,” Dante said, as Salvatore held up his card.
“Sal!” Nina shrieked, hiding her face, and the crowd chuckled.
“Amelie, same question?” Dante grinned.
“Well, it’s definitely in Hawaii,” Amelie giggled. “Um, in the maze?”
“Shit,” Nathan scoffed. “I forgot about that one,” he chuckled and held up his card.
“How long were you lost in the maze?” Paul shouted from the crowd.
Amelie blushed.
“God, enough,” I laughed. “I don’t need to know about my sister’s sex life.”
“I’m feeling the same way with Isabella answering the question next,” Salvatore grimaced.
“Isabella, for the grand prize,” Dante said with game show host flair. “What’s your answer to the question?”
“Mama, Papa, please don’t kill me,” Isabella squeaked out. “In the Aventini Greenhouse?”
I jumped up, picked Isabella up, and spun her around. “Yes, bunny!” I yelled.
“Wait a minute,” Mama said, sternly. “You had sex in our greenhouse?”
“Nina,” Salvatore exclaimed, grabbing her arm. “Let it be.”
“You’re right,” Nina said, shooting me the evil eye.
“So, Isabella and Zander, here is your trophy for the first annual not-so-newlywed game,” Dante said, pausing. “As for the grand prize, maybe I should let Nathan and Amelie tell you.”
“Zander,” Nathan stated. “We are all so happy that you and Isabella have found each other, but now not only can you find Isabella in your life, as your bride, you can also find her on a map.”
“What are you talking about?” I questioned.
Morgan and Kimmy stood up and unrolled a map. Right there, next to Amelie Cay on the map, was Isabella Cay.
“You gave us an island?” Isabella said, crying.
“Yes, the best thing is there is only a small lagoon between the islands, so we are building a connecting bridge between the two islands when we start construction on the facilities and bungalows on your island,” Amelie announced.
“Wait, what if we lost the Newlywed Game?” I smirked, raising my eyebrows.
“The winning team would have gotten only the trophy,” Nathan laughed.
I looked at Isabella, and she was bawling her eyes out. “Isabella, are you ok?” I asked, hugging her.
“Happy tears,” Isabella whimpered.
“Stop, you’re going to make me cry,” Morgan said, sniffing and wiping her eyes.
“Oh no,” Amelie said, starting to cry.
“That’s what you get for having three pregnant women in one room,” Logan laughed.
Amelie, Isabella, and Morgan all moved toward each other and had a big pregnant hug. It was the most adorable thing that I’ve ever seen.
“So, Zander,” Nina said, stepping in front of me. “Tell me when you desecrated both my daughter and my greenhouse.”
I gulped, “But Nina…”
“I’m joking, you big lug!” Nina bellowed in laughter, slapping me on the shoulder. “I’m glad you’ll be my son-in-law. I can’t wait for the babies to come.”
“Me neither,” I smiled. “I think we’ll be needing a lot of help. Isabella is excited, but I know she’s nervous.”
“You’ll have so much support,” Nina said, smiling. “Remember, family isn’t just who you’re bound to by blood. Look around this room. All the people here are family.”
I looked around. Nina was right. I was so blessed to have found a true family now. For so long, it was only Amelie and me. However, now, we are part of a family and loved by so many people. It was totally heartwarming, and I was on the verge of tears.
“Don’t go soft on me, brother,” Nathan said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. “There is poker to be played and shots to be taken. The ladies are going to do a bridal shower for Isabella while we play.” Nathan looked up at the staircase. “But first, the Quints, Eliza and Marcella want to say goodnight.”
I looked over to see the staff bring all the kids down. They made their way over to the stage, and Eliza was organizing them. Geesh, it was like herding puppies.
“Hello, everyone,” Eliza announced. That girl has stage presence. “The Quints would like to say something.” Eliza looked at them. Nothing. “It’s your turn!”
“Oh,” Hailee giggled. “Good night!”
The remaining four echoed her declaration.
“Thank you for your attention,” Eliza said, bowing. Then the Quints repeated the motion.
The crowd clapped loudly as the Quints were taken back upstairs.
