“Uhm, Nanny has told me that everything, mine and mom’s have been brought here,” Rhiannon said immediately after she met Octavius' eyes.
“Yeah. One of the rooms will be arranged and you will keep Mom’s stuff there. Or, since you will be moving in with me, your room should be used to store her things,” Octavius said without noticing the stunned look on Rhiannon.
After waiting for an answer without getting one, he looked at her face.
“What? Why are you looking at me with that look?” Octavius said as he was confused and at the same time worried that he had said something he wasn’t supposed to say.
“Mom? You said Mom, do you have your mother’s belongings here? Also, when did I say that you will be moving in with me?” Rhiannon said angrily as she thought of his words.
“Of course, your mother is also my mother. As a son, shouldn’t I address your mother as my mother also? About moving in, you are my wife, you should sleep in the same room as me,” Octavius said with a smile on his face.
“You!” Rhiannon shouted as she hid her face as it had already turned red out of blushing.
Octavius chuckled when he saw her blushing took her hand and dragged her to the sofa he had been sitting on.
“What do you want to do with mom’s stuff? We should go to sleep then you will take care of them tomorrow,” he said then kissed her making Rhiannon forget everything she wanted to.
“Your silence means yes, right?” he asked with a teasing smile as he knew what had made her speechless.
“Of course not! Tomorrow, I have to go to the company or it will be chaotic. Also, those old men may think that I am not serious with the company if I don’t go,” Rhiannon said immediately when she heard his words.
“You are right. Tomorrow is a very busy day and you should rest early. That’s why I am saying that we should go to sleep,” he said making Rhiannon speechless as she wondered whether she had misunderstood him.
She had thought that she had but when she saw the smirk on his face, she understood everything and immediately tried to get out of his arms but Octavius was holding her so tightly.
“Where are you going? It’s like you are running away from something and I am curious about what it is as I can’t say anything worth to make you so afraid,” Octavius said as he looked around the room causing Rhiannon to slap his chest softly.
He glanced at her and then started laughing out loudly.
“What have I done? Let’s go to sleep, okay? I won’t touch you today just cuddling,” he said as he knew what she was afraid of.
“How can I trust you? Are men trustworthy?” Rhiannon asked causing Octavius to halt his actions and stare deep into her eyes.
“I don’t know about other men but what I can assure you is that I am trustworthy,” he said in a serious tone stunning Rhiannon as she didn’t expect him.
Looking at his eyes, she understood that he knew what she was afraid of and didn’t know what to feel about the situation.
“No. I want to go through Mom’s stuff. Some things will help me with my tomorrow and future. Something that will help me enter the capital with my head lifted high,” Rhiannon as she tried to free herself from Octavius' embrace.
“Oh?” Octavius asked as he stared at the woman who was trying her best to get out of his embrace and didn’t know what to say or think but he knew that she didn’t trust him at all however, he was willing to wait till she trusted him fully.
“Do you need my help?” he asked as he glanced at the piled boxes in the corner.
“For now, no but I will inform you if I need it,” she said as Octavius released her.
“Okay. I will be in the bedroom,” he said as he left.
Rhiannon glanced at his departing figure and sighed in relief.
She walked to the boxes and started unwrapping them.
It took her more than 2 hours to find her mother’s notebooks and she remembered her mother once telling her that there would be a time she would need them.
She flipped over the first one and glanced at the title before going to the next one and she kept doing that time she was done with all of them.
Octavius frowned when he saw what time it was and got out of bed.
“You should now go to sleep,” he said after he walked to the room’s living room.
Rhiannon turned around, glanced at him then nodded.
“Do you know how to cook?” She asked him.
“Yes, why do you ask? Are you feeling hungry?” he asked and she shook her head.
“Mom left this recipe book. I thought I should give the chefs in the restaurant some recipes for them to try making the dishes. Then we will see whether they will be tasty and increase the restaurant’s profit,” she said shocking Octavius.
“Was Mother a chef? Where did she get all these recipe books?” he asked as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.
Rhiannon shook her head. “Not all are recipe books but am sure that they will help in the company’s profit increase.”
