Rhiannon, who was beside him, heard everything; her eyes darkened as she knew what was happening.
They wouldn’t dare to kidnap another prince after taking the other. She felt that they were more worried that her mother had told her what had happened in the past and they had hold of her brother, so, if the king were to find out that they had kidnapped his child immediately he was born to create his beloved, how will the king behave?
However, she didn’t voice it out as she knew that the more all her brothers knew the more they might be in trouble.
It was enough if she was the only one and not them as she believed in less than five years, she would have managed to do what her mother had told then ambush that organization and rescue her siblings.
The two siblings whom she was planning to protect were currently inside a room sitting opposite each other no one talking to each other as they were still shocked by the information they found out.
“So we are four kids in our family, huh? How did mom give birth to us all even when she was in danger?” the girl asked making her older brother glare at her.
“Well, for my twin and I, she didn’t know that there was anything wrong or that someone who took her child,” he said making the girl nod her head.
“Well, you are right but if you can recall when, it seems that when she was doing everything to escape with us, she was already pregnant with Rhiannon. I think that she realized that she had made a mistake by sleeping with your father and feared she might have been pregnant,” the girl said making Gustavo shake his head denying her words.
“Have you forgotten who mom was? There was nothing she didn’t know, and I am sure that even if she was two weeks pregnant, she knew that she was pregnant. So that means that even when she was protecting the both of us countless times when we tried to escape and we were caught, she was pregnant yet she never lost the baby,” Gustavo said and they remained silent.
“Do you think that she injected our baby sister with one of the drugs she made?” Yadira asked suspiciously as she looked at her older brother.
“Not injecting the girl as she wasn’t born yet but she injected herself,” he said making Yadira angry and she shook her head.
“No! Mother cannot do that!” Yadira said as she refused to believe that her mother could use her child as an experiment.
“Little girl, have you forgotten that she gave us something to drink too? After that, it was when our strength started growing and many more?” Gustavo asked as he had a smile on his face when looking at his younger sister even after growing up people thought she was cold and ruthless but in front of him she was always naïve and seemed not to want to use her mind and wanted to depend.
He shook his head as he didn’t have any problem with that as long as he knew that his sister could be a normal child in his presence and she was still innocent in her ways.
“I think she injected our baby sister with the same thing but since she was infused it from her when she was in mom’s womb, that would make her stronger than us. However, I don’t know, I am suspecting it,” he said as he added a few more lines he didn’t want to worry her since he knew that she might overthink it till she got stressed with it.
“Yes, you are overthinking,” she replied as she nodded her head vigorously.
“But, now we are on that, I overheard something when I was on Dad’s premises,” Yadira said with a frown as she remembered what she had overheard.
She didn’t think of it as she didn’t think that her mouth carried something with her but now that Gustavo also had his thoughts, she wondered whether it was true.
“What is it?” Gustavo asked as he sat upright every time every lady in front of him would frown, she would have heard important things.
“I heard that before mom escaped, she was making an item. Well, when she was trying to escape it was because her father had asked her to make it but she didn’t want to do it thus she thought that if she escaped, she wouldn’t have to make it. However, when we were caught countless times before we went further, she gave up resisting and started making the product as she planned how we were going to run away,” Yadira said making Gustavo’s expression turn serious as he wondered what it was that their mother didn’t want to make it.
After all, she had always made whatever she was asked to make without complaining but now, here she was resisting?
“What was it?” he asked once more.
“I heard that it is kind of a device or a necklace?” Yadira said unsure of what it was.
“A necklace” Gustavo asked as he raised his eyebrows at him.
“That is what I overheard but it isn’t just a simple thing. Now, I remember that it was a pendant thus it could be worn as a necklace or a bracelet,” she said as she nodded her head remembering what she had heard.
“What’s so special with a pendant?” Gustavo couldn’t guess anything although he knew that their mother had always done weird things that something they didn’t understand what it was.
“I heard Dad saying that if one wore it, he or she could escape death. Like it has the power to protect someone in times of need. Not immediately but at a crucial time. So I think that our baby sister was wearing it and used it to save those two men,” she said making Gustavo fall silent as he thought of what he had just heard.
Although he knew none of them would ever understand what their mother made, he had to admit that that little pendant was on another level.
“Well, if it's true, then she is safe for now. I guess. But I don’t think your father would let go to the palace so easily as he knows that if she does, he will never get his chance on the pendant and that if Rhiannon knew about me and my origin, she might tell the king whom wouldn’t waste time and power to rescue me,” Gustavo said.
