The following day, Rhiannon woke up and went to the hotel’s kitchen after asking a staff where it was located.
As she went, she surveyed the area to see whether it was decorated as she had instructed. She was quite pleased to see that everything was just as she had said.
The hotel was decorated with the same colors as the gown and suit she had made for her parents.
“Young miss,” a man who seemed to be in his fifties called her as he stood at a distance from Rhiannon behind.
Rhiannon turned around with a frown as she knew that she was the only one around and it had to be her who had been called.
Seeing the face of the man, Rhiannon nodded her head as she recognized the man as the hotel manager, Mr Fred.
“Mr Fed,” she called out.
“Young miss. I was informed that you slept here yesterday. Hope you had a nice sleep,” Fred said in a serious tone making Rhiannon stare at him for a while as he looked like a professional butler and not a hotel manager.
"Yes. It was quite peaceful although it is in the middle of the city,” Rhiannon said as she was also shocked about that.”
“Well, that is all thanks to the best soundproofing walls. We always want to give our customers the best care and for them to have space and privacy,” Fred said causing Rhiannon to nod.
“And that’s why most politicians and businessmen like having their meetings and business banquets here causing it won’t get out of the walls,” Rhiannon added and Fred nodded while he was happy that the young miss knew a thing or two about them.
“What do you think of the decorations? We had the help of some of the brothers and sisters who are interior design industry and also decorations,” Fred said while telling her whose job it was as he didn’t want the others to feel like he wanted to take credit for himself.
If he did that, the next time he needed their help, they might refuse and he didn’t want that.
“I am impressed. Although I sent the drafts and everything, I never thought that you guys would do such a perfect job. It's actually better than I expected,” Rhiannon said what she thought.
“Thank you miss. We didn’t want to disappoint you,” Fred said calmly, yet his tone seemed to be doing, making Rhiannon smile as she felt warm.
Every time she met with any of her mother’s students, they seemed to care for her as if she was their own kid and at the same time sibling.
Even if she wanted to act professional, keep everything business as they were new people to her whom she didn’t grow up with or know, and be cold, she felt it was impossible as everyone managed to make her soft even when she also didn’t realize it.
“I don’t think that you guys can disappoint me. You have managed this hotel since it was started and managed to make it be top three domestically. Hope can I not be proud of you?” Rhiannon asked as she looked at him.
Fred smiled brightly as he felt recognized by her. Although he was given the job to prepare for the ball, he didn’t feel a thing for that as he knew that it was his work but hearing her saying that she was proud of him? Mehn, it was like he was hearing the compliment from his teacher Celestine.
“I will work harder to get it to the top,” he said sincerely while Rhiannon just smiled at him.
“Have you prepared the invitation cards and sent them?” Rhiannon asked as she changed the topic.
“About that, they are ready but we haven’t received the list of whom are supposed to be invited. Also, we wanted you to check them out before doing so,” Fred said causing Rhiannon to frown as she took her phone.
When she remembered that she didn’t get a chance to get any of Rodrigues's contact, she groaned making Fred stare at her and wonder what was the problem.
“I will dial a number and ask the person to forward the guest list,” Rhiannon said after her eyes fell on Fred who frowned upon hearing her words.
“But miss, it’s your phone. Shouldn’t you talk to the person? Also, they are your in-laws,” Fred said with a frown but inwardly wondered why the latter was refusing to talk to her family.
Thinking that they didn’t approve of her, his eyes darkened as he wondered how one couldn’t love their precious queen.
“Well, how I wish that I had their contacts. Got into an argument with my husband and I don’t want to talk to him less he thinks that I have forgiven him,” Rhiannon said causing Fred to sigh in relief before rolling his eyes when he remembered what she had just said.
‘Women!’ he murmured as he didn’t want Rhiannon to hear when he saw her glaring at him, He cussed inwardly as he knew that he had been heard.
Even if he initially didn’t want to do as she had said, now that he was guilty, he knew better than to argue with her.
“Okay, young miss,” he said causing Rhiannon give him a cold smile before switching on her phone and dialing Octavius number.
