Chapter 63 chapter 63
Chapter 63
“What happened to you?” Vivian asked when Jason arrived home with a swollen face.
“Were you in an accident?” She continued to ask, but Jason completely ignored her.
“Jason, what is going on with you? You have been acting strange lately. Are you hiding something from me?”
Jason touched his swollen face and winced in pain, “I am going to rest. Don’t disturb me unless it is something important.”
“You slept outside the other day, and now you come home with a swollen face. What is wrong with you? Are you involved in illegal activities?”
Jason walked past her and headed to the bedroom. Although he was physically hurt, the pain he was feeling in his heart could not compare to the punches that Sean had given him.
Natalie had really moved on, and she no longer loved him. Her gentleness and love were now reserved for someone else.
But Jason was not about to give up. They had loved each other since they were young, and he was going to make sure that Natalie developed feelings for him. He was going to make sure that he won her back!
After Jason went to the bedroom, Vivian sat in the living room and dialed a number. She had a feeling that something was wrong with Jason, and she had to find out what!
“I want to know what Jason has been up to for the past few days. Find out where he spent the night the other day, and where he had been today!”
“Yes, ma’am.”
“I am giving you thirty minutes. I want all the information, or you can consider yourself jobless.”
Thirty minutes later…
Seeing the information that had been sent to her email, Vivian's expression turned venomous.
She should have guessed. Ever since that bitch came back, Jason had not been himself.
How dare he go back to the house where he used to live with his ex? And what gave him the right to go and look for that bitch and her workplace?
She was a doctor, right? A surgeon whom everyone respected? She was going to make sure that Natalie fell from grace no matter what.
Vivian’s gaze turned cold as she mumbled, “Jason, you can only blame yourself for turning me into a villain. Natalie cannot continue to live. I have had enough!”
Vivian left the sitting room and headed to the master bedroom. Jayden will be turning five years old in a few months. It was time she gave Jason another baby. She did not care if she had to drug him like she had done the last time, but she had to get pregnant.
She pushed the bedroom door, and when she entered, Jason was already fast asleep. She walked over and looked at the man, her eyes turning gentle.
She could not help but mumble, “Jason, you know how much I love you. Why are you doing this to me? What does Natalie have that I lack? We are step-sisters, and we look almost identical. Why can’t your heart belong to me alone?”
She bent over and touched her swollen face. Although she was gentle, Jason was startled, and he opened his eyes due to the pain.
His eyes were not focused, and after seeing Vivian, he pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly.
Vivian smiled happily. So, Jason still loved her the most.
But before she could bask in her happiness, Jason pecked her on the cheek before he whispered in his sleepy voice, “Natalie, please come back to me. I will treat you right, and I will never let you down again. I will change and become a man worth being your husband. Just give me another chance.”
Vivian felt as if someone had poured a bucket of cold water all over her. Her heart chilled, and her whole body stiffened.
She was about to say something, but she realized that the man hugging her tightly was already snoring.
Had Jason mistaken her for Natalie? Goodness, they had been married for five years, and he still mistook her for his ex?
Vivian lay in bed, her heart pounding hard, and her body trembling. She had loved this man for more than five years, and this is what she gets in return?
He was hugging his wife, yet he was dreaming about his wife!
No, she could not take that lying down. Maybe it was time she taught Natalie a lesson.
…
“So, you are Judy?”
Judy looked at the strange woman facing her and nodded. “Yes, I am Judy, and who are you?”
“I am Vivian, but you can call me Viv.”
“Well, Vivian, I don’t know you, so why did you call me here? I don’t think that we have met before either.”
Vivian sipped her coffee before she spoke, “You don’t have to know who I am. I came to you because I need your help.”
“What is it?”
Vivian thought about it, and her expression changed. She looked like she had something to say, but at the same time, she did not know how to say it. She looked like a troubled woman who had gone through a lot, and she had no one to confide in.
“I… I don’t know if I should be telling you this. Maybe I should not have come here. After all, it is not like we are even friends.”
“What are you talking about? What happened?”
“I.,. are you married?” Vivian looked at her and asked.
Judy shook her head, “No, I am not. But what does it have to do with my marital status?”
“I… I am just troubled. I… I thought that you were married, and maybe you might be able to understand me, but maybe I was wrong. I shouldn’t bother you with my problems.”
Although Judy was always rude and egoistic, seeing another woman cry so much moved her heart.
She held Vivian’s hand and spoke in a soft voice, “Viv, I don’t have many friends, and since we happened to meet, I consider you my friend. You can tell me anything, and I promise you that I will not tell a single soul.”
“Really? Can you really do that for me?”
“Of course, just say it. My uncle is a hospital director. I will even help you get medical help if need be.”
Vivian’s tears fell freely as she said, “Thank you so much, Judy. I think that I made the right choice.”
