Chapter 285 Newlywed Bliss
Chapter 285 Newlywed Bliss
Leila's POV
"Thank you, Sophia, thank you, Adam!" I said sincerely, grateful for their presence as witnesses.
Sophia looked at our newlywed joy and teased with a grin, "It's your wedding night! You two lovebirds better celebrate properly!"
I nodded without hesitation. "Of course we will!"
Theron smiled, addressing them politely. "Thanks for coming today. It means a lot to us."
Sophia waved her hand dismissively. "It's nothing. Just treat our Laylie right from now on, Mr. Sterling."
Theron nodded solemnly. "I will."
As our friends dispersed, Theron took my hand to lead me back to the car. Throughout the drive, I couldn't stop staring at the ring on my finger, admiring how the light caught on its surface. My heart was so full of happiness I could barely contain it.
While driving, Theron's gaze kept drifting to me, his eyes soft as water. "You like it?" he asked.
I nodded honestly, watching the sparkle of the ring. "It's beautiful."
When we arrived home, I was so overwhelmed with happiness that I threw my arms around his neck and kissed him, wanting to express all the joy and love I felt.
Theron responded passionately, holding me close as he kissed me back with gentle intensity. The entire room seemed filled with the warmth of our love.
When he finally pulled away, he kept his forehead against mine, his voice thick with emotion. "After all these years, we finally made it. You're back where you belong. Laylie, I'm never letting you go again! You're staying with me forever!"
Feeling the depth of his words, I kept my forehead pressed to his, my face radiating with sweet joy. "Yes!"
After our intimate moment, Theron and I sat together on the couch to announce our marriage on social media. We posted pictures of our marriage certificate and my sparkling ring, which immediately garnered countless likes and congratulations.
The comment section filled with well-wishes from friends and family. Both the Randall and Sterling families sent their sincere blessings. Then my phone rang—it was Margaret calling, her voice barely containing her excitement.
"Come to the estate for lunch! I've had the chef prepare all your favorites!"
I had no objections and glanced at Theron, nodding to indicate my agreement. He accepted the invitation on the phone, and we made plans to join his grandmother for lunch.
When we arrived at the Sterling estate, I discovered that Alexander and Victoria were already there. Theron greeted his parents first, and I followed behind him, politely addressing Alexander.
"Dad," I said respectfully.
I deliberately ignored Victoria, acting as if she didn't exist. She didn't cause a scene about my behavior, unlike her past dramatic reactions. She stood quietly beside Alexander instead.
Alexander smiled warmly. "Congratulations to you both. Happy wedding day."
Margaret enthusiastically beckoned us. "What are you standing around for? Everyone's here, let's sit down before the food gets cold!"
"Coming right now," Theron replied politely, gently guiding me to my seat.
During the meal, Victoria and Alexander ate quietly, occasionally attending to Margaret. While maintaining an outward composure, I secretly observed Victoria. She really seemed like a different person, completely changed from before.
Even so, the pain she had caused me couldn't be easily diminished. I just can't accept her again.
After lunch, Alexander and Victoria stayed with Margaret for tea while Theron took me for a walk in the garden to help with digestion.
"If you're uncomfortable, we can skip these family meals next time," he offered thoughtfully.
Looking at his hand holding mine, then at this man who considered my feelings at every turn, I couldn't help but sigh.
Not wanting to put him in a difficult position, I said, "It's fine. We barely talk anyway, and she's not bothering me anymore, so let's leave it..."
Theron didn't respond verbally. Instead, he pulled me into a tight embrace, holding me firmly against him.
His intense hug made me laugh, and I patted his shoulder. "Hold me any tighter and you'll squish the baby."
My words frightened him. He immediately loosened his grip, his face filled with concern.
I quickly reassured him, "Don't panic, the baby's fine." Seeing his anxious expression made my heart melt with sweetness.
Only then did Theron relax, changing the subject. "I'm taking you out for dinner tonight. Just the two of us celebrating!"
I readily agreed. "Sounds perfect!" Then a thought occurred to me, and my tone became slightly regretful. "Too bad Noah and Mia aren't here. They'd be so happy about this."
Though the children hadn't explicitly said so, I knew the little ones both hoped we would reconcile and be together again.
Theron smiled and kissed my cheek reassuringly. "Don't worry, they'll be at the wedding. Tonight is just for us!"
His words touched me deeply. "Hmm!" I murmured in agreement, then remembered to ask, "Are you going to the office this afternoon?"
Theron shook his head and candidly shared his plans. "No way. This afternoon, we're leaving. James has already booked the flights. We're going to a Caribbean island for our honeymoon!"
With excitement bubbling in my chest, I followed Theron out the door, filled with anticipation for our honeymoon trip. After several hours of flying, we arrived at the beautiful Caribbean island.
That evening, we enjoyed a carefully prepared candlelit dinner at a romantic restaurant over the water. With the sea breeze gently blowing and candlelight flickering, sitting across from the man I loved was one of the most blissful moments of my life.
In the following days, I posted a photo of the island scenery on social media each day. My pictures captured the azure sea, the golden beaches, and sweet selfies with Theron.
