Chapter 376 The Next Family Head

Chapter 379 Please Agree

Naomi never dreamed that she would become the head of the Harpers family and receive everyone's support.

Every elder in the Harpers family couldn't wait to stay and receive her treatment right away, afraid that delaying even a moment would mean missing the best treatment window.

Naomi kept explaining and promising that she would definitely cure the Harpers family members of their diseases and suffering. Only then did they leave the hospital, but they said they wouldn't leave Avalonia and even wanted to move their branch offices there.

Looking at the completed transfer documents, Naomi asked hesitantly, "Jonathan, this isn't all a dream, is it?"

Suddenly she felt warmth on her face - a bottle of warm milk pressed against her cheek.

Jonathan looked at her with a smile, "Feel the heat? Then it's probably not a dream. Or do you want to pinch me?"

He leaned his face closer. Naomi gently patted him, "Why would I pinch you? Whether you feel pain or not, how would I know?"

"Of course you'd know." Jonathan pulled her into his arms, his hot breath spraying on her neck, "Family head, you now own dozens of companies worldwide. I'm afraid you'll have to support me from now on."

Naomi just felt her neck tickling. She tapped Jonathan's forehead, "Is Mr. Cavendish planning to retire?"

"I'm considering it, after all my wife is very capable." Jonathan kissed her ear, feeling that today's Naomi was especially adorable.

"Naomi, have you gained a little weight?" He suddenly pinched the soft flesh at Naomi's waist. Naomi slapped his hand away and opened the milk, drinking half the bottle in one gulp, "How could I not gain weight? Mr. Cavendish gives me food every time he sees me. I think staying up late has messed up my hormones, so this is all fat."

She pinched the flesh at her waist - she did seem a bit heavier, but it seemed only her waist had gotten bigger.

She sighed and took out the documents again, "Xander has transferred all his patents to me. I want to cooperate with General Harrington."

"Cooperate? How?" Jonathan said, "The National Science and Technology Department won't let the Harpers family profit too much."

Naomi nodded seriously, "I know, so I plan to transfer the patents for free and cooperate with the National Science and Technology Department, not for profit, only for research."

"Jonathan, I know as a businessperson this is very irrational, but what could be more meaningful than helping more patients recover?"

Naomi had served many cancer patients before. When she was still a young caregiver, she had seen too much of the pain cancer patients suffered in their final stages.

Now with this opportunity, she really hoped to help all patients, even if she could only help some of them for now.

Seeing the hope in her eyes, Jonathan's lips curved slightly, then he held her in his arms, "Naomi, whatever decision you make, I'll support you."

"The Cavendish Corporation will provide full support. How about we go see General Harrington tomorrow?"

"Really? You support me too?" Naomi looked at him with delight. Seeing him nod, Naomi planted a firm kiss on his cheek.

Before she could pull away, Jonathan sealed her lips with his.

His girl had finally grown from a somewhat timid and cowardly young woman into a capable woman. Watching Naomi's transformation, Jonathan felt the emotions in his chest surging.

However, Naomi's transformation also brought drawbacks - the two of them spent less and less time together.

As head of the Harpers family, Naomi had to go abroad to handle many procedures.

Just familiarizing herself with the companies in different countries and handling the paperwork took Naomi a whole month.

Finally when Naomi returned, she was called away by Francis to continue developing the cell regeneration chamber.

After Naomi had worked continuously for 48 hours, relying on her keen intuition, she finally found a way to break through the bottleneck.

"Excellent! Naomi, the data has been updated!"

Seeing the latest data, Francis became completely excited.

More than a month of rest had already restored him considerably, and with the medication Naomi had specially prepared for him, he was now back at his post full of energy.

"I actually couldn't understand much of the data your father left behind, but you understood it as soon as you came back."

"Is this the telepathy between father and daughter?"

Hearing Francis say this, Naomi smiled and shook her head, "Maybe it's the understanding between witch doctors?"

The reason others couldn't understand what Everett left behind was because he had been using a witch doctor's approach to improve the cell regeneration chamber. Each improvement was coordinated with follow-up witch doctor treatment.

Francis let out a long breath, "Yes, witch doctors are truly mysterious. After this research is finished, the new equipment will undergo its first trial. Have you decided which patient to choose?"

As soon as he finished speaking, everyone fell silent, staring at Naomi.

Ever since Naomi had transferred all the data and patents to the National Science and Technology Department, everyone had been working with full energy, just to develop a more perfect cell regeneration chamber.

And whether the cell regeneration chamber could really be effective couldn't be proven just by experimental data - the key was the treatment results.

Naomi clenched her fists, then released them, then clenched again.

She turned to look outside the laboratory and saw Jonathan who had just walked over. They hadn't seen each other for forty days. Jonathan seemed much thinner, his large windbreaker hiding his slender frame, but Naomi could still tell he had been very tired recently.

Jonathan looked up at Naomi and gave her a gentle smile. Naomi smiled back at him, then said softly, "Let's choose William for the first test subject. Let's choose my grandfather."

Francis paused, then nodded, "He's a user of the old regeneration chamber, and his physical condition is still relatively stable. He is indeed the most suitable candidate, but..."

He paused, asking somewhat hesitantly, "Ms. Kennedy, have you thought this through?"

"Yes, I'll develop a detailed treatment plan. I'll discuss this with Jonathan and try to get his agreement." Naomi nodded at him, then strode toward the door.

Jonathan didn't expect her to finish so quickly and was still on a work call.

Feeling someone rush into his arms and smelling the familiar scent, he instinctively hugged Naomi, "Finished so quickly?"

He hung up the phone and reached out to ruffle Naomi's hair.

Naomi rarely showed such intimacy with him in public. At this moment, Jonathan felt a warmth in his heart.

Naomi looked up at him with bright eyes, "Jonathan, there's been a breakthrough with the cell regeneration chamber."

Jonathan smiled and raised an eyebrow, "Congratulations, what gift do you want?"

"I don't want a gift." Naomi hugged him tighter again. Her arms tightened more and more. Jonathan frowned, about to ask what was wrong, when he heard her say, "I've decided to let Grandfather be the first to receive treatment. Please agree."

Jonathan's expression paused for a moment. He understood that the first person to receive treatment might encounter many problems. Usually they would choose patients whose lives were about to end.

But if that were the case, they couldn't fully know the treatment effects, and there might not even be a chance for a second treatment.

"Jonathan, if you think it's not appropriate..."

"It's fine." Jonathan lowered his head and kissed her forehead, "Grandfather will definitely agree too. We all believe in you."
