The Perfect Ending of Our Second Beginning

The Perfect Ending of Our Second Beginning
Austin's POV

I’ve never felt happier than I do right now. I have beautiful and handsome children, and most importantly, I have my wife, Mrs. Faith Fernandez Garcia, who is not only stunning but kind, understanding, and nurturing. There’s nothing more I could ask for.

I’ve long planned to marry her again because our first wedding wasn’t the story I wanted. I wanted a better, unforgettable memory this time. I wanted to see her walking down the aisle while I waited at the altar.

My plan was to have her marry me again in Zambales, a place special to us. So many unforgettable moments—happy and sad alike—are etched into our hearts and minds there. Memories we’ll revisit as we grow older together.

With the help of Ate Elvie’s family, all preparations were in order. We were already on our way. Faith only knew we were going on vacation. We would stay in Zambales for two months because of Jairee’s summer break. She had no idea about the huge surprise waiting for her.

We started our journey in the early morning, executing my plan to perfection. Friends of ours, and friends of Faith who were in on it, were already there.

“Hmm… why aren’t you sleeping, hon?” Faith murmured, waking up as she rested against my chest. “You’re smiling. What are you thinking? Or who?” She nudged me playfully. Over time, my wife has become so mischievous. Haha! I’ll tease her properly after the wedding, I thought, smiling wider.

“So… a woman?” she repeated, and now she sat up straight, glaring at me. There was something different in her movements.

“Honey, the woman I’m thinking about… is right next to me. Who else could it be?” I defended myself.

“Then why are you thinking about me? I’m right here! Huh! You have a woman, don’t you?” Her eyes started watering. Wow… just seeing me smile, and she’s jealous already. What’s gotten into my wife?

Of course, I had to calm her. I never wanted her to cry.

“Honey, I would never—” I didn’t finish because I heard her soft snore. Haha! She fell asleep so fast. What is going on with my dear wife? She’s acting so strange.

I held her against my chest again, gently caressing her tear-streaked cheek.

“I love you so much, honey,” I whispered, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

“Hmmm…” was all she replied.

I glanced back at the kids, both sleeping soundly in their car seats with their nanny. Once I was sure everyone was safe and peaceful, I closed my eyes too.

By the time we arrived in Zambales, it was bright. The car drove along the road Faith once ran along when she tried to escape me.

“Are we going to Ate Elvie’s?” she asked, clearly surprised.

“Nope. To our palace. That’s where we’re going, hon,” I replied with a smile.

“You bought a house here? But we already have one near town,” she said.

“This is ours too, hon. But I wanted it here… where this place is memorable for you. It’s peaceful and far from pollution,” I explained.

“You’re right, hon. That’s why I felt so relaxed when I was here with Jairee,” she said happily.

Before long, we arrived at our palace.

“You built this house here?” she asked in amazement as the car entered the massive gate.

“Yes, hon. This is our palace,” I said cheerfully.

“Wow! Is this our house, Daddy?” Jairee asked as we got out of the car.

“Yes, anak. Do you like it?” I asked.

“Super po, Daddy!” she said excitedly.

“Tomorrow, I have a surprise for you,” I teased.

“Really, Daddy? What is it?” Jairee asked eagerly.

“You’ll know tomorrow, son,” I said, pinching her chubby cheek.

“I can’t wait po!” she laughed. “Let’s go inside, baby Ameer and Amelia.” She held her siblings’ hands, and together, they walked inside with their nannies.

Faith and I walked arm in arm, watching the kids.

“You really… do so many things without me knowing,” she whispered as we reached the main door. She had no idea that every move she made was aligning perfectly with my plan.

“Surprise, honey.” I hugged her tightly. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too, so much, honey,” she replied, as if she hadn’t thrown a tantrum in the car earlier. Haha!

I stepped back from the hug, slowly taking a small box from my pocket, then knelt before her. I could immediately see her shock.

“H-hon, what are you doing?” she whispered, tears welling in her eyes.

“Honey…” I took a deep breath, fighting the tremor in my voice. “I want to marry you again. Our first wedding didn’t have the memory I wanted. I want to change that memory, create a wedding full of love with our children. Mrs. Faith Fernandez Garcia… will you marry me again?”

She teared up as I spoke. Nervous, worried—especially when I saw her frown at me, maybe about to sulk. But before my anxiety could peak—

“Honey…” she smiled through her tears. “Of course I will marry you, no matter how many times.”

My chest felt lighter. I quickly slid the engagement ring onto her finger, feeling my hands tremble.

I stood—

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Loud party poppers exploded around us. Voices shouted:

“Congratulations!”

Our friends came pouring out of the mansion, cheering. The kids, nannies, and even Ate Elvie’s family joined, all smiling and excited. The coordinator and make-up artist I hired for this special day were there too.

My dad grinned widely, clearly overjoyed for us.

My twin brother Axel and Alexander were also there, smiling proudly.

The voices of “Congratulations!” mingled with colorful confetti falling around Faith and me, like slow motion. Light, music, and the joy of everyone around us were overwhelming.

I gazed at her—surprise, joy, and confusion on her face. She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Her friends approached, hugging her while cheering. Faith giggled, still shedding tears.

In that moment… all I saw was her. Her and the new beginning for us, together with our children.

“I thought Faith would say no-no!” Hero shouted. Charie pinched him for ruining the moment. The chaos quieted.

“Do you want to come inside our house?” I joked to the guests who had blocked the door. They laughed, realizing we were still outside.

“Ma’am, sir, please eat so we can prepare. The photographer is coming,” the coordinator said kindly.

Faith looked at me, stunned, still trying to process everything.

“Let’s go, hon. I’m hungry,” I coaxed, holding her hand.

She followed quietly, but I could feel her heart racing inside. Her hands trembled slightly as we walked in, followed by friends, family, and staff, all still smiling and taking pictures.

Everything went smoothly—the clothes, hair, and make-up were done quickly, as were the bridesmaids. The godparents patiently waited at the church. Close friends and other important guests had arrived.

I didn’t forget to invite her former colleagues. I knew she’d be happy to see them, completing this special day for her.

I stood at the front, waiting for my beloved wife. I stood tall, but my heart raced as my eyes stayed fixed at the end of the aisle. Faith slowly appeared.

Our children escorted her—Jairee smiling brightly, holding Ameer and Amelia’s hands.

The moment I saw them, especially Faith… I couldn’t hold back my tears.

She was radiant. I couldn’t explain it. Her light felt different—calm, happy, as if all we’d been through led to this moment.

I was so happy.

This was it. The wedding I dreamed of for Faith and me. A wedding wrapped in love.

“Faith, honey, for all my past mistakes, I promise to make it right. Now, before God, our children, family, and friends, I vow you will never feel alone again. You are the greatest second chance God has given me, and I will love you truly and carefully every day. You are my home, Faith, and from now until the end, you are my only choice. My great love.”

“Austin, honey, for everything we’ve been through—tears, fights, and nights I almost gave up—I’ve learned I have no other home but you. You chose me again, over and over, and now I promise to choose and listen to you always. I love you dearly, and before God, our children, family, and friends, I vow to take care of this love forever.”

Those were the vows we exchanged.

“You may now kiss the bride,” said the priest. The moment I’d been waiting for. Haha!

The church erupted in cheers and applause. Everyone was joyful.

Faith didn’t expect the reception either. At the barangay plaza where we lived, everyone from the neighborhood was invited.

After we ate, Faith whispered to me, clearly delighted.

“Thank you for this day full of surprises, hon.”

“I told you I love surprising you, honey,” I replied, kissing her lips under everyone’s watchful eyes.

“I have a surprise for you too, hon,” she said, her voice full of excitement.

“What is it, hon?” I asked eagerly.

“I’ll do the helicopter later, (Sex position)” she giggled. I couldn’t wait to have my wife all to myself.

“Let’s go first, hon,” I said, pulling her to her feet. I left the kids with Jake and the nannies. Our friends wouldn’t let them wander. I told them to help Faith get dressed.

But my mind was only on her helicopter ride. Haha!

At the mansion, Faith and I showered together, then went straight to bed. She really did the helicopter, so my smile never faded.

“You’ve been smiling for a while now, hon,” she teased.

“Maybe I should marry you every day, hon?” I said.

“Huh? Why?” she laughed.

“So you’d do the helicopter every day,” I replied with a laugh, since she rarely did it.

“You’re crazy!” she said, standing and taking a white envelope from her bag, handing it to me.

“What’s this?” I asked, curious—there was nothing written on the envelope.

“Because you surprised me with the wedding, I have no other gift but this, hon. Open it.” So, I did as she asked.

I couldn’t believe my eyes—it was confirmation that Faith was six weeks pregnant. Another blessing.

I worried for a moment. Our twins were still so young—could her body handle it? Thankfully, the doctor said she was safe, fit, and young. I breathed a sigh of relief.

We lost track of time, probably exhausted. Morning came, and our kids woke us up, especially Jairee, already restless about my surprise for her.

With our friends, we headed to my surprise for Jairee.

“Wow! Really, Daddy? This is mine?” she asked, almost in disbelief, as I told her the ranch was hers.

“Yes, anak. This is yours. Daddy just fulfilled your dream. Are you happy?”

“Super happy, Daddy! Thank you so much! Can I ride a horse now?” she asked eagerly.

“You’re still too young, anak,” Faith said, holding me while smiling.

“Don’t worry. When you’re seven, you’ll ride with me,” I said.

“Okay po, Daddy… but can I touch the horse at least?” she asked.

“Sure, anak. Kuya Oscar will guide you,” I said. The horse caretaker immediately followed instructions.

Jairee’s joy was clear as she walked with Oscar.

“You spoil her too much, hon,” Faith said softly.

“As long as it doesn’t harm our kids, hon. And they’ll benefit from it if we ever have hardships… or if something happens to us. At least I know they won’t suffer,” I explained.

“True… it’s a good investment. For the kids’ future. Thank you, hon,” she said.

“For what, honey?” I asked as we walked under the shade of a large mango tree.

“For everything,” she replied, simple but full of emotion.

“I’ll do everything for our family,” I said. “That’s my role—to make sure you’re safe and happy. I love you. I love our kids… and the little one.”

Yes, the little one—the one in Faith’s womb. That had been our plan.

“I love you too, so much, honey,” she said, pressing her lips to mine. We hugged tightly, enjoying the fresh breeze together.
