Chapter 119 - The Betrayed Luna They Want
AUTHOR’s POV.
“You know where to meet me if you are ready to save your daughter, I sent you an address” Maria said from the other end and the call went off immediately leaving Enzo and Michelle fuming in anger.
The Michelle we all know can take anything but kidnapping her daughter is where Maria draws the line and that is something she will not forgive.
“We have to save baby Odette, Enzo” she tells her husband, “and i swear I am going to make that Maria pay for daring to even touch my baby”
“Aunt” Enzo turns to her, “please take care of kayden and Jayden, we have to meet with Maria and save Odette”
“You don’t have to worry Enzo” aunt Loretta says, “I will be very vigilant here”
“We need to go now” Michelle grabs a hold of Enzo’s hand, “we don’t have enough time”
“I will Inform Izzy too” aunt Loretta says again.
Not wasting any more time, Enzo leads Michelle towards the car pack and in no time, his black maybach zooms out of the premises at a very high speed.
Just as soon as the car comes out of the gate, Enzo brings it to an abrupt halt when the two of them see Nicholas also walking towards the house.
“What the hell are you doing here?” Enzo ask him.
“Maria has Odette” Nicholas says, “how is that even possible? I just left a while ago.
“How did you know?” Michelle asks from where she is sitting, her voice is full of worry.
“Someone who met me, told me about it, and he vanished right after. We need to save her”
“You don’t have to worry” Enzo tells him, “I am capable of saving my own baby myself”
“Stop this fucking bullshit” Nicholas hiss in anger, “she is my baby too and I won’t take any chances weather you like it or not”
“We don’t fucking have time, Enzo” Michelle half yells, “he can chose to come or not” she further adds.
“Where the hell is she?” Nicholas asks as he rakes his fingers through his hair.
“Get in the car”
Now, the only thing that matters is saving the baby even if it means working with the enemy.
Having this at the back of his mind, Enzo jerks the car back to life and zooms off.

The moment the car comes to a halt in front of the house, Michelle jumps out of it without waiting for anyone and rushes towards the house.
“Stop running babe” Enzo calls after her but she doesn’t even listen and continues until she enters the house while the two men run after her and they also enter the house.
As soon as the trio enter, Maria is sitting beautifully on one of the chairs and she looks so different from the Maria they all knew.
Her black hair is cascading down her body and her overall demeanor looks different and that aura emanating from her is quite striking and evil.
“You came as fast as you could” she pulls her body out of the couch as a smirk appears on her face, “you must really want to save your baby”
“The mistake you will make is for you to think that I am scared of you even in the least, Maria” Michelle starts to talk, “and if you dare to harm my daughter, I swear both heaven and earth will feel my wrath because i will make sure you won’t be able show your face to anyone again”
“How dare you come into my house and take my baby, Maria?” Enzo growls in anger, “Aren’t you scared of being torn into a thousand pieces?”
“Oh Enzo” Maria turns her attention to him, “you are the one I want and I am willing to hand your daughter to you as soon as you agree to be mine. You know that, don’t you?”
“Look, I really don’t care who you are or what you want but you will hand over my daughter without a single scratch or I swear…” Nicholas warns and Maria scoffs,
“Now even a lowly alpha like you will speak to me.
Her gaze darkens and immediately the cry of baby Odette Is heard from above them.
All of them turn simultaneously to see her suspended from the air and Michelle gasps in fear.
“What the hell do you think you are doing, Maria?” Michelle yells and makes to move forward but the baby Odette slides down and she halts.
“One more move and you will be burying your daughter Michelle” she growls and turns to Enzo again,
“What didn’t I do to make you mine, Enzo? I did everything a goddess could do but you chose her over me. Why? I killed your mother thinking you would come close to me but you didn’t”
“You are the leader of the Zu clan?” Enzo asks and she chuckles lightly.
“What do you think? That a brat like Adeline would be able to pull off such a scheme?”
“How dare you?” Enzo growls in anger. How can he not recognize his mother’s killer during all these years, how could he treat her so nicely? Thinking about it, he can’t help but blame himself for being too nice.
“Today is your end, maria” Michelle tells her, “and I will make sure you die a very horrible death”
“If you kill me, you will be killing Natalia too. She is also inside my body, aren’t you scared?”
“Natalia?” Michelle scoffs, “I hope the two of you die together then”
Anger is brewing inside her and the only thing she wants to do now is to end the life of the most evil person in her life now. Michelle just wants to take her baby home and live happily with her husband and that she must achieve.
“Enzo, how about we make a deal?” She returns her focus to him again, “agree to be with me and I will let your wife and your daughter go safely or else, you all will die here today”
“You lie!!” Michelle spits and immediately her eyes start to glow much to the consternation of everyone and in front of everyone, her hair turns silver making Maria to step back almost a few feet.
“Selene?” The name rolls out of her mouth and Michelle scoffs.
“I think I have let you done enough to the wolves after my heart, Eed” she says, “give up now and you won’t have to suffer from my curse because I promise you”
“Who exactly is she that you have to descend into this sinful world just to help her, Selene?” Maria asks again,
“you have clearly proved that she has been your favorite right from the very beginning”
“Of course” she starts to take slow step towards Maria, “now you will let them go with their baby or I will make sure to destroy you and your Zu clan, I will make sure you pay for all of your misdeeds towards my people”
“What will you do, Selene, You can not kill me”
“Focus on saving your baby” Michelle turns to Enzo, “I will make sure to take revenge for you today. You have been a fateful son of mine. You can consider this as my blessing to a true blooded alpha and his Luna after my heart”
“Aren’t you celebrating too soon?” Maria is still talking when all of a sudden, Michelle grabs her by the neck and pins her against the wall.
“She is going to fall any moment from now” Nicholas mumbles to himself and begins to search for a way to grab onto her but it is almost impossible.
He can not transform because of the torture he endured for the past four months has made his wolf too weak to come out of him
“I have a way” Enzo finally says as he turns his attention from his wife. He knows that the goddess Selene will protect her no matter what and now he just has to focus on saving his daughter.
“I will have to transform into my original form to be able to reach her. The moment I grab her, do all you can to take her away from me, I am afraid that I may squash her under my heavy fist”
“You got it”
Right now the two of them are working together to save Odette while putting their differences aside, is she lucky to have two fathers?
With that, Enzo closes his eyes and allows his wolf to take over and in no time, his gigantic figure is standing in the middle of the room.
“You think I will allow you to win this time?” Maria forces the words out of her mouth.
Before Michelle can say anything, she pushes her claws into her shoulder and Michelle staggers back for a moment trying to steady her balance.
Maria uses this opportunity to control the sun to shine directly into the room from outside and for a moment, Enzo’s sight is blocked and he is unable to reach out for the baby hanging in the air.
As if that is not enough, Maria begins to draw him in with her powers.
The big wolf starts walking towards her like he is in a trance and her lips curl into a smirk. Who dared to stand in hee way.
“Come to me, my lover” she mutters under her breath.
“Get a hold of yourself, Enzo!!” Nicholas half yells but the wolf in front of him is already thrown into a turmoil. Enzo is trying hard not to give in to Maria’s spells even if she is clearly stronger than him.
Nicholas looks up and sees that Odette is already falling down from that massive height and he had to act fast.
Pushing any other thought to the back of his head, he leaps into the air in his human form and catches the baby just in the nick of time but he is too late as he is unable to save himself and he lands on the ground in a loud thud causing blood to immediately flow out of his head, the baby in his arms begins to cry while his lips curl into a small smile.
“You are safe, my love” he whispers into her ear as he starts to pat her, “father won’t let anything happen to you”
Everything happened so fast, Michelle grabs a hold of Maria again and is able to break the spell off Enzo who is now directly standing in front of Maria.
“This is your end, Maria” he growls in anger and without waiting for her response, he sends his claws deep into her chest and rips her heart out making the blood splash on Michelle who has also sent her claws into Maria's neck.
Seeing the blood oozing out of her body, Maria clenches her jaw in anger and tries to cast another spell but the goddess Selene through Michelle strikes her hard and she becomes immobile, blood and tears flowing down her eyes.
“This is for what you did to Enzo’s Mother and to him” Michelle says and stabs her again with her claws.
“This is for making my wife and my baby cry” Enzo says and rips out her intestines again, making more blood flow out of her.
“And this is for defiling our entire realm” goddess Selene says through Michelle again before grabbing a hold of her core of energy and shattering it into a million pieces making a loud cry to leave maria’s mouth and she falls down limply, her soul disapitating along with the wind and Enzo immediately turns into his human self.
Michelle and Enzo without thinking much run towards Nicholas who is quickly losing a lot of blood and her heart skips a beat.
“Nicholas” she grabs onto him gently while Enzo slowly takes the baby from him.
“You will be fine, we will take you to the pack healer”
“I am fine, Mish” he says while smiling painfully, “it’s just a scratch, I should heal up soon”
“I think his cranium is shattered” Enzo whispers to Michelle as tears well up in her eyes. Even if she hates him, she is not praying for him to die such a painful death”
“But he should heal right?” She turns to her husband.
“He is…his voice trails off when Nicholas grabs a hold of Michelle’s hand as blood begins to ooze out of his ear,
“My body is too weak to heal itself Mish” he begins, “but I want you to know that you are the best thing that has happened to me and my pack, please don’t keep my name away from our babies” tears well up in the alpha’s eyes, “don’t make them hate me please. This is my karma for hurting you and I gladly accept it”
“You won’t die, Nicholas. I will….”
“Shhh” he shushes her and turns to Enzo, “you are the husband and the alpha i could never be and I am proud of you man” he scoffs lightly, “do me a favor Enzo, take care of my pack. Make my pack your own and keep them together”
“What the fuck, you will take care of your pack on your own man. Didn’t you say you would take Mish from me”
“I can not do that anymore” he turns his head to Mish again, “she belongs to you now while I will face eternal damnation for the pain I put her through. Please Enzo, kill me and become the alpha of my pack. I will only die peacefully if you do”
“No!” Mish blurts, “no one is killing you”
The blood starts flowing in torrent and Nicholas begins to cough as tears continue to fall out of his eyes.
“At least I know no one will ever bother you again. I will die a happy and proud man and always remember that I love you and our babies so much”
“Nicholas, you..
“Please Enzo” he continues to beg again, “it’s really painful not being able to heal myself”
“Coward” Enzo hisses, “you can’t even fight for the woman you claim you love”
“She has you, my kids have you too and you are the best thing to happen to them, please man”
Enzo looks at Michelle for a moment and a single drop of tear trickles down his face. He knows she hates him but she doesn’t wish him to die in such a gruesome way.
“I am sorry Mish” he whispers to her and slowly covers her eyes and immediately, he digs his claws into Nicholas’s chest and a large howl leaves the alpha’s mouth and he closes his eyes in death almost immediately with his beating heart in Enzo's hand.
